To-day is Sunday-- It is very hot outside-- and it will only get worse as the day progresses- This afternoon, Lopez and I will get to the dock--Son#1's dock--- and to-day I will have to keep little Lopez wet, so he doesn't start to pant-- like--dip him into the lake--We have already walked this morning, and Lopez did his business--
I do not know how I could survive in the heat outside, without the portable AC unit--It keeps the upstairs cool, and even seems to cool down the main level--It is a "blessing"-- I am sure that you all have heard of these units.
So, yesterday I did get out to Son#1's dock--down almost 100 stairs to the lake--and when we decided to go home, Lopez and I had to climb up almost 100 steps -----I had invited a friend out for supper--too much food---- so that went in the frig for lunch today--I can never seem to eat what I used to--
In fact, doncha find that life seems to change , as we age--
--as long as we remember to get dressed, I suppose all is OK-----
So, the blog--- ?????--Do you want the print larger??-- or--Is it OK as is?---
AND----are you feeling like you are "on top of the world"?-----OR____are you struggling?
The key to living to-day, is----take the time to create the life "YOU" want---Of course you do not want to spend a LOT of time dealing with a life you don't want!
So--ever onward here-- Sushi needs attention upstairs----The vacuum Lady needs to come- (WHO IS ME!)-----I see it will be another smokey day--
REMEMBER___
I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
LA DEE DA AND POO POO DEE DO
I think the font is fine for me
ReplyDeletegood! Lynda
DeleteWow, Lynda! 100 steps X2 is some serious cardio!! Does Lopez know how to swim?Does he like being wet? So glad that you are enjoying your move back “home.” Have a lovely Sunday…maybe post a picture of the steps and dock if your Son doesn’t mind! Karen (Eissa7)
ReplyDeleteI was at that dock today--will post tomorrow Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm very impressed that you were able to walk up 100 steps! I am finally starting to do steps but it takes a lot out of me! I'm glad you have the portable A/C for your upstairs. I can't imagine not having Air Conditioning in these really hot and humid days. And again today we have Air Quality Alerts until Tuesday night from the wild fires in Canada. The grass is getting long but it's been wet all day from the humidity so who knows when Tom will be able to mow! I had to make Daisy go out to do her business this morning, she didn't want to get her feet wet! I loved the The Life you Want meme! So true. And I'm good with the font you're using. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteSo far the one portable AC unit is cooling the whole place-- I am thinking pof another one tho--Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon, sis.
ReplyDeleteI told you yesterday that the font is just as it used to be on my computer. I don't believe you need to be concerned about that.
If he would keep it on mostly, you could wet a dish towel and spread it over Lopez's back when you take him outside.
All I have is a window air conditioner. It cools the living area fine, but there is the bedroom, which is separate. I just have a box fan in the window there.
It's not too hot here, but will get hotter...just 81F. The humidity is very high, though, which makes it more uncomfortable.
Sunday traditionally was a 'day off.' Kinda for me. I do have recyclables to sort out and dishes to wash.
Love the memes, as always.
I'll check back here later, Lynda. Hope the rest of your day proceeds better than walking uphill 100 steps! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good idea to wet Lopez down--Poor wee fellow tho--so so hot outside--And today went well--trying to keep busy so I don't feel sad-- Hugs--Lynda
DeleteHi, Lynda! The font is the same as it always was - I think it is set in the font that the website uses, not the font that YOU use. No worries!
ReplyDeleteI take it you don't have built-in air conditioning in your townhouse? Yes, you would have to have that. I am heat intolerant, and keep it set very low, 68 degrees, 65 at night.
So far, my day is great. I have a lot of things to do today. Bedding, regular laundry, grocery. I wanted to go see a movie but I honestly don't think I have time.
Marti
Hi Marti--no--no built in AC--but I bought ab 8,000 BTU AC unit which seems to cool this place down-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, so nice that you were able to spend some time at son #1's dock. I am very impressed that you and Lopez managed to go 100 steps down and then 100 steps up when you were ready to leave. I was particularly happy that you invited a friend to dinner. Important to have social engagements to keep the mind bright and shiny.
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, the font in your blogs appears the same way as before. If the font you are using for yourself seems to small, have one of your sons or grandchildren change it for you. It's easy to do.
Maureen from California
Thanks Maureen--I just might make this font larger--Lynda
DeleteYou and Lopez did a GREAT job climbing up and down 100 stairs! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteWe had a LOT of rain (6-8 in. from 5 pm yesterday to 6 am this morning) and more storms in the morning. Getting a break right now. Flood watches and warning til tomorrow. NEVER have seen anything like this since we moved here.
So today is a rest day. Did not sleep last night.
But hoping things clear up as we have a medical appt. for Jason that is 45 minutes away tomorrow. Some of the roads around here are flooded. But it's getting a little better.
HUGS and have a great Sunday

Barb---Be careful on those flooded roads--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Love your poem from yesterday. Pictures look vey nice, It's smaller but there's only you so you should be fine. At least you found a place for your piano! Is that a wood stove? You said your windows are old. You should buy some of those kits to cover with plastic. Son #1 has a lot of stairs to the lake! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a great poem yesterday?-=-I loved that also--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, the font comes across as it always did. I make it larger on my end. You're good.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing pictures of sons doc and all those steps. Lordy, its like mountain climbing. Seems his house is where the kids went when they stopped coming to your dock. The steps are quite a workout.
Does you king bed fit in your BR??? It was tight in appt and townhouse is likely smaller rooms.
How nice that you already invited a friend out for dinner.
I'm hoping you'll find a grief support group there.
Hope you have a great day.
Hugs and blessings
Marge in hot and muggy St.Louis.
Hi Marge--Yes-- Son#3 has a great many steps--Its a workout--Lynda
DeleteI, too, am impressed with your stair climb... and for that matter, Lopez, too... he's got those little short legs! Did he go up under his own power?
ReplyDeleteHe ran ahead of me--yes--Lynda
DeleteThe print looks the same on my end, so I bet you can enlarge it to write and we won't even know the difference ❤️
ReplyDeleteHappy you're home again 🫂
I read mostly on an old iPad that won't let me comment, just know I'm here and listening! Lots of love from a long time reader of your 'wee blog'
Alicia---It is you!- I have so many questions re. the blog--Remember--YU set it up for me--I never knew how to reach yu-- Don't go away--I have questions re. the blog---Lynda
DeleteI think it was my sister OneKidsMom who helped you get set up. I just noticed everyone using the term font when you had said print - wasn't sure if you knew what was meant.
DeleteThe print is fine - same as always 🌿
