Think Positive---

Sunshine---  and Lollipops--That's what we can have to-day, if we choose  to--------It feels cooler--- but-----we know that "Fall" is around the corner--To-day however we choose  to be happy---

The shed in the back yard is almost up-- It will store  outdoor chairs--shovels, rakes, and "stuff" I used to keep in the garage--  no garage here--I bought this shed---and the workers  I have hired are putting it together--  lots of screws  and bolts etc--Hopefully this is the last thing to get done before the winter sets in--And then there are all the pictures , and clocks, leaning against the wall, to find a place to hang them.

Yesterday the piano tuner was here--  the same piano tuner that we had in Elliot Lake, before--Pianos do not like to be moved, so he worked on it a long time, to bring the notes into tune--It always sounds so good after he has tuned it--

And I hear that Air Canada is  back to all their flights now--not on strike anymore--That is good to hear. Son#2 will be happy to get back to flying--

I found the picture below , hidden on this computer-- I thought it quite a nice photo of son#3 and Himself--I sure do miss  Himself--My whole life has changed dramatically--

So much to do, to try to carry on---  live a life which is so different than it was---
Perhaps I should try to read something posiitive.  try to think about 3 things I should be doing,   to keep busy---think about  a reason  that I CAN do whatever ----  It's like one has to plan events in each day--just to keep busy---and not to think about all the sadness in my life right now--
One must be strong---
Positive thoughts--

  1. Good morning, sis.
It's a lovely morning here...sunny with just a few clouds, already 70F, no rain expected. We have had enough of that for the past several days.
I am glad you will soon be ready for winter. We never know when the first snow and ice will come. Some days it seems like it will be soon. Then the weather starts to be summery again.
Great photo of Himself and son #3. Memories...
I'm getting the oil changed in my new car for the first time in a couple hours, so I'd better get ready. I'm still in my robe, haven't had breakfast, etc.
I will check back later. You may see 2 comments from me if I think of something else to tell you.
Have a great day...play that piano (wish I could hear you!)...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Morning Lynda,
We had a windy thunderstorm last night and it brought the temperatures down quite a bit today. It will only hit the mid 70's. It has been in the high 90's and humid for several weeks.
What a nice picture of himself and Son#3.
It will be nice to have a shed to store all your outside stuff.
Have a good day! You deserve it.

  3. Morning, Lynda! Each day you are getting more and more settled. So nice! It is cloudy and cooler in Ohio. I do love sitting in the heat a bit each day on my warm chairs. They are repaving my street in our neighborhood today. It is a mess but will be great when they get done. I won’t be taking my car out for a bit so hope they hurry. LOL Can’t wait to see your building. Wish I could come help to hang your pics and clocks with you. You are doing great! Keep smiling! Big hugs!

  4. What a blessing that piano is! I think of you playing for the dogs, back in the day, Coal and Tess.

Hope Lopez likes it as much.

  5. Sounds like you are getting settled in. You do sound happier now that you are back at Elliot Lake. So many changes in your life this year, but you have stayed positive and moved forward. I hope you are now able to relax, reacquaint yourself with your town and friends, and perhaps find a grief group to help you through the difficult adjustment and emotions of losing your partner in life. Enjoy that piano, and don’t rush us all into fall too fast, we still have a few weeks of summer left! Susan in Colorado

  8. hi Lynda: Nice that you were able to get the fence finished and a shed put together. Too bad you don't have a garage for the winter. Now you can play the piano to help you feel better. Hugs Brenda

  10. Hi Lynda,
The outside stuff will be done soon. Glad you found dependable guys to do your jobs. Perhaps the 2 guys can hang clocks and pictures?
I like the picture of himself. Nice.
I do hope you'll play your piano now. Poor piano has been moved and tuned more than its been played lately. The pets enjoy your concerts. Maybe Sushi will come downstairs if you play and sing.
I'm still hoping you'll find a grief group. I really think it would be a help to you.
I wish it would get cool in St.Louis but it's still crazy hot.
It does sound like your settling in at your new townhouse.
Make today good. The last insert has some great tips for moving forward each day.
    Hugs and blessings

  11. Hi Lynda, it sounds like everything is coming along. The stuff on the walls can always wait, as long as you have the necessaries at hand.

Try not to dwell about the sadness in your life. Try to write a gratitude list every day of all the wonderful things that you DO have and the happiness that you DO have, and do not dwell on the things that you don't. Nothing in life is permanent. Things change all the time, some are good changes, some are sadder changes, but happiness lies in what is happening RIGHT NOW. Do not look back, you are not going that way, as they say, and the future is not yet here, you cannot worry about that either. It sounds like you are all prepared for the colder months.

Sit down and read a good uplifting book, that sounds like a great idea!
