Be Strong!

Good Morning--It is January 22 --Wednesday-- Very cold and snowy outside-- and windy--not the best day--Already I have been out shovelling snow--I can feel the cold wind inside the house--

I hope everything will be alright to-day--It does seem very "wintery" outside--I just signed up for a "Death Cafe"--discussion about dying--and death--It sure doesn't sound too good does it-as if I need more discussion on that subject--  but-then--it might help--Who knows?--Anyway--Below-- Grandchildren  when they were younger--
Emma on the left is now on her 2nd yr University--

Below-Son#2 on the rt---Both are now Pilots--Both fly for Air Canada

             and--guess who?--ME!!!!--- going for a swim--long ago--

Wise words--#1. Don't sell yourself short

#2.-Don't be afraid to ask for help

                              -#3-Seek quality

So-Are you feeling strong??--that you can deal with whatever comes your way?--I hope that you are trying to be strong--like your Mother was--We must be!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! It is 23 in Ohio feels like 7 and windy. Lots of birds on my feeder. It is sunny. Love the pics. The boys knew they were going to be pilots. I hope you stay warm. We are getting a big storm this weekend. Enjoy your day. Hugs!

  2. It's Kathy. Yes, I am trying to be strong and some days it sure isn't easy. But we must go on, take care of our loved ones and our pets and make sure their lives are good. We're preparing for Lauriellen's court date on Tuesday, my Tom will probably have to watch the boys and that means they will miss school. Of course, their father doesn't care. It's going to be below zero by this afternoon and tomorrow they're predicting wind chills of -40 degrees. I am not leaving the house until it warms up! As much as I hate Daisy leaving fur all over the house, right now I'm glad she has a nice winter coat. Have a good day.

  3. Bracing for bitter cold and 4 to 8 inches of snow here in the Midwest! I need to get to the store today to grab a few food items because I won't be able to get out of my long snow covered driveway after the front comes through! Winter is my least favorite season! At least as a retiree and widow, I can just stay home and "hunker - down" ? is that even a word? I think you know what I mean! So glad I have a whole house generator in case we lose electricity - so thankful that my husband felt the need to install that many years ago!

  5. Good very early afternoon, sis.

Love seeing those photos of your kids and grandkids!

Love seeing the winter weather...there or here?...NO! It's only 5F here, but with the 'wind chill,' it's MUCH colder...like Antarctica it seems.

I just got back from the bank and picking up a grocery order.

Got 2 free meals today from my friend 'Becca who didn't want them.

I just ate one...chicken and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, broccoli and a pear half sprinkled with something red...not cinnamon.

Now it's time to snuggle for a nap with Lucky. I hope you get one, too. Dealing with that snow must be exhausting.

I love that last meme. Mine did, too. She dealt with 2 abusive husbands and one that tried to abuse me.

On that terrible note, I'll tell you that I'll be back to check later. I hope you get something enjoyable done today. Even the chores are satisfying when we get them out of the way. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
