It is Thursday, January 29th --minus 22 C outside-- not as windy as it was yesterday--but snowy--and very very cold! It burns the ends of my fingers when I am out there even for a short time.-- I just got up---was up earlier however to turn up the heat in here--I am supposed to meet Dave for Breakfast at 9-30am--so will chat a bit here with you-- then will come back, after breakfast.
Will it really be 143 days to summer?? I just dunno--but "summer" does sound wonderful to me, right now!Thursday, January 29, 2026

Quote for the day
I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

DeleteGood morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteOut again, lol, enjoy breakfast with Dave. Nice way to start your day.
Your huge home was beautiful but oh so much work.
I like the picture with Fred and so much food. Now we know where Matt gets his food fondness.
Nothing new in St.Louis. waiting on the next artic air mass. Ridiculous temps forecast. Come on spring.
Be safe and warm. Enjoy.

Marge yes--And please remind me everyday how much work our home was --the one on the lake--I do miss it so I need your reminder that I am better off here--- I think I miss all the kids who lived there also-- Oh well--at 83 I must stay here!-- Hugs to yu-Lynda
DeleteFred has good taste. That is always what I order at Red Lobster, because I can never decide. I love pretty much all seafood, but mussels, oysters, and the like.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
Marti
Marti--pretty funny eh--ordering all that food but he looks so happy eh??--Lynda
DeleteI know, it looks like a lot of food, but it really doesn't seem to be, little bites of this, little bites of that, and how I love crab, but really not too much crab that comes out of those legs. That order is called "The Ultimate Feast." And I never get anything different there since I was in Junior High. We always went there for someone's bday.

Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteSnow on the ground still and Phil just wearing a t-shirt? Allison has Hannah on her back to help her stay warm!
You're back from your breakfast with Dave and I haven't even had mine yet. We do have an hour difference in our time, though.
It's cold here, too. -9F. I thought it was supposed to be warmer today. Maybe this afternoon. Not that summer weather we want, though. Let me figure it out...google says 142 days! But it's only 50 days until spring! That sounds a bit better.
I may go out briefly or I might decide to hibernate one more day. There's always chores around here, books to read, kitty to love on, computer games to play, facebook, etc.
At least we have had good starts to our days. And when we think a thought that's not pleasant we can STOP and think a better thought!
I'll check in later, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--minus 31C here-=-so so cold!--sunny tho-- Dave is a good person--= was there waiting for me--and itb is hair day at 2pm--always lots to do here also--Lynda
DeleteLynda, if you go to Amazon and search 'Maggie Lome,' you will see 2 of my books. One is free if you have Prime. Sure wish I had $ to promote them.
ReplyDeleteI will check that out for suRE--Lynda
DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt's 16 degrees here so too cold to snow. But, they say we might get some this weekend.
Have a good breakfast meetup with Dave.
Stay warm and have a fun day!
Hugs,
Jackie
Good morning, Lynda! It is 15 in Ohio. Much warmer than it had been. So much snow that it will be around for a long while. I haven’t been out in a week or two. Hope your breakfast was great with Dave. It looks like Fred was about to enjoy his ultimate feast. I used to order that a lot. Stay safe and warm. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. It's cold here too but at least the sun is shining, that helps. I served at a funeral today - the brother of 2 of the women in my Bible Study group. I did not know him at all but I knew of the health challenges he had been going through for a few years now because we were all praying for him. He died in his sleep with his dog lying next to him. 2 of the sisters found him Saturday morning. It was a lovely celebration of life but it makes you stop and think! I love that you are still posting pictures of Fred. Yes, I do believe he is with you always! Hope it's been a good day.
ReplyDeleteStay warm in those bitter temperatures! Hope you had a good breakfast. LOVE the flash back photos.
ReplyDeleteHere's to wonderful photos that bring back lovely memories.
