How many days till summer?

It is Thursday, January 29th --minus 22 C outside--  not as windy as it was yesterday--but snowy--and very very cold! It burns the ends of my fingers when I am out there even for a short time.--  I just got up---was up earlier however to turn up the heat in here--I am supposed to meet Dave for Breakfast at 9-30am--so will chat a bit here with you-- then will come back, after breakfast.

Will it really be 143 days to summer?? I just dunno--but                         "summer" does sound wonderful to me, right now!

Looks like Hannah is on Allison's back in the above picture -Phil in front of them--and below, the Lakeside of our old house-with lots of snow-a typical winter-
and there is Fred, below with so so much food in front of him--
AMAZING!
I hear the washer , chugging away-- and I must start the car soon--allow it to warm up--
Warm clothing this AM for sure--and keep lotza heat in this place-I shall return--and--
I AM BACK---
Ready for "Words of Wisdom"--which I did not write--but--wish I had??__
#1.-Listen to your feelings

            #3.Action is worry's worst enemy!
So--- strength--We must sorta be "tough"--believe that this is the way it is supposed to be--(but--"is it"??) and --if you feel your partner sorta around you, maybe he really is---What do "yu" think?

    Quote for the day
I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

  3. Fred has good taste. That is always what I order at Red Lobster, because I can never decide. I love pretty much all seafood, but mussels, oysters, and the like.

    Have a good day!

    2. I know, it looks like a lot of food, but it really doesn't seem to be, little bites of this, little bites of that, and how I love crab, but really not too much crab that comes out of those legs. That order is called "The Ultimate Feast." And I never get anything different there since I was in Junior High. We always went there for someone's bday.

  4. Good morning, sis.

Snow on the ground still and Phil just wearing a t-shirt? Allison has Hannah on her back to help her stay warm!

You're back from your breakfast with Dave and I haven't even had mine yet. We do have an hour difference in our time, though.

It's cold here, too. -9F. I thought it was supposed to be warmer today. Maybe this afternoon. Not that summer weather we want, though. Let me figure it out...google says 142 days! But it's only 50 days until spring! That sounds a bit better.

I may go out briefly or I might decide to hibernate one more day. There's always chores around here, books to read, kitty to love on, computer games to play, facebook, etc.

At least we have had good starts to our days. And when we think a thought that's not pleasant we can STOP and think a better thought!

I'll check in later, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Good morning, Lynda! It is 15 in Ohio. Much warmer than it had been. So much snow that it will be around for a long while. I haven’t been out in a week or two. Hope your breakfast was great with Dave. It looks like Fred was about to enjoy his ultimate feast. I used to order that a lot. Stay safe and warm. Hugs!

  8. It's Kathy. It's cold here too but at least the sun is shining, that helps. I served at a funeral today - the brother of 2 of the women in my Bible Study group. I did not know him at all but I knew of the health challenges he had been going through for a few years now because we were all praying for him. He died in his sleep with his dog lying next to him. 2 of the sisters found him Saturday morning. It was a lovely celebration of life but it makes you stop and think! I love that you are still posting pictures of Fred. Yes, I do believe he is with you always! Hope it's been a good day.
