Son#2 in--Santiago, Chilli

Good Morning-- To-day is Sunday, January 18th--and, of course it is very cold outside--minus 20- The furnace is going -trying to keep heat in this tiny house-I am watching  news on the TV as I type--Our Prime Minister -Mark Carney is speaking as I type--He seems very confident  that by going to places around the world, like China--to try to keep countries investing in Canada--so that the major trading places will invest in Canada--The news is not great right now--the future of NATO--so important --

and guess what the above is??--MacDonalds--and where is this MacDonalds?--
Son#2, the Pilot-- is in Santiago, Chilli--eating at McDonalds and he sent pictures of his breakfast--

and here is the city and below--his room--
So cold here to-day--and I hear next week it will be even colder--with more snow in the east--as if we need that!!
I see it is daylight outside -finally--The clothes are in the dryer--Lopez has not been out yet--

-so--this day has begun--I must share a few wise words-
        #1.Respect your children
#2.Go the extra mile
#3.Choose your love-then love your choice.
So, time to get moving here----Hopefully it will warm up somewhat-

Above--a very cute picture of Miss Hannah-- She looks to be fishing--
and now-- Try to make to-day  a great day--in your world!

To-day will be a good day--so--- Let's get at it here--I shall check up on you all in a bit--

  1. Good Sunday Morning Lynda,
It's cold here as well, in the low teens and supposed to get to single digits.
Son#2 has an adventurous life being a pilot. All the places he gets to see. And shares the pictures with you.
Sounds likes its a good day for both of us, you and I, to stay inside today and stay warm. I am doing laundry and will get in a workout. Putting ribs in the crock pot for hubby and will make some side dishes later today.
Have a good day and stay safe and warm!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. Good morning, sis. It's cold here, too, though I am sure you have it colder. It's 5F. We got another dusting of snow overnight. The wind is due to increase, too. That's what I prefer NOT to have.

I have big plans for today: laundry maybe making a peanut butter pie and a nap. THE PIE IS WONDERFUL! My daughter gave me the EASY recipe at our Christmas dinner: purchased graham cracker crust. Most of a big jar of creamy peanut butter. Soften that in the microwave and add brown sugar (1/2 c or so depending on how sweet you want it) and top with a package of cooked vanilla pudding that you have prepared. That's it!

The photos are wonderful. And the breakfast sandwich with avocado sounds great. I love avocados, and they are very healthy.

I hope you don't get much more snow. At least you have two more 'snowmen' now.

I am thinking how very blessed we are. Many people don't think of their blessings just the things they want to complain about!

Back later, Lynda! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Love, love, love the picture of your little princess, Hannah ice fishing! She is adorable! Put a smile on my face! Very cold here too! I need some groceries, but am not going to go out today....Just going to stay in and relax! I wish I had some ingredients to make soup - but of course, I don't! But I do have some frozen taco soup that my daughter in law gave me! Thinking that will be my supper tonight!

  4. Good morning from "South of your border". Hoping we (US) can learn from the rest of the world putting up their own boundaries, as internally we don't seem to be very good at "containing" the irrationals who are currently in charge down here. Rooting for Canada, from the center of the US.

  6. Hi Lynda
I bet Matt is happy to be somewhere warm. The McDonalds everywhere he goes is funny. I guess he takes after his dad.
Just like many people, its ridiculously cold here. Not as bad as you, but darn cold. Come on Spring.
I enjoy the words of wisdom.
The Hannah picture is so cute.
    Stay warm. Enjoy today.
    Hugs from cold St.Louis
