Take advantage of the good days--

Good Morning--  To-day is Thursday, January the 8th-- This A.M. I have a Dr's appointment-- plus a hair appointment this afternoon--and---Retirement Living will be entering the  apartment here to plug in a new, -"gas/CO2 / whatever-else-"---meter--which means Lopez will freak out if left here alone--so, I guess  he travels with me this morning-

-It never rains but it pours--always the case isn't it?---And I hear to-day and the next few days, we are going to get rain--then snow--"Rain" is just not nice in the winter--and we have had a lot of that this winter--

Wise words--#1. Give people a second chance

                     #2..Face the truth

#3.-Good times are better when shared

I tried to watch the news last night--but ---I could not--It was very disturbing--It makes one wonder what on earth has happened to this world-It certainly isn't very peaceful anymore--Does it upset any of you?-or---Is it just me ? It never seemed like it used to be like this--It seems like there is no respect anymore for people just trying to live their lives, peacefully,  in their little part of the world--What do you think?-

So, I must get my wee little Lopez out in the yard-- get the clothes into the dryer-get some breakfast here--This day has begun---and we are a part of it--Remember to take care of your pets-- and try o remember the ones who have passed--to wait for you--All our Shepherds are probably over that bridge with Fred, my Husband who loved them to the moon and back--

Hopefully I can return  --after I get this day started--Meanwhile--

  1. Good morning, Lynda! It sounds like you have a busy day. It is going to be rainy Friday and Saturday here in Ohio. Yes, the news is no doubt disturbing. I know the shepherds are in good hands with Fred. On the 16th it will be 3 years since our first yorkie left us. Our Kloi will be 10 on the 13th. Our baby yorkie brat is 2. What would we do without them, though? Have a great day. Stay dry. Hugs!

  2. Good morning, sis. You have a very busy day today. So do I!

We are having some organization that licenses living spaces like ours do an inspection of our apartments today. LESS THAN ONE DAY'S NOTICE!

Then I am taking my friend, John, to adopt his kitten's brother. The were together in a small bathroom of the lady's house til he took the girl kitty. She is taking a long time coming out of her shell. John thinks a reunion with her brother will help. I do, too.

Hope your dr's appointment goes well. I know you will love your hair.

Our temp is just at freezing. It will get a bit warmer this afternoon...and rain. YOU"RE RIGHT! Rain is not good in the winter cuz it gets cold a few hours later and the wet surfaces turn to ice!

I'll be back later, dear. Hope you have a happy day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Good Morning Lynda,
Poor Lopez, but I get it. My cats freak out and go hide until any stranger that comes in the house leaves. My biggest cat ( 22 pounds) is the one most scared. He will start running if we come in the house with shoes that make noise on the hardwood floor, until we tell him it's us.

And I am with you on the news. It's hard for me to watch. It just makes me so angry, sad and disappointed at what we have become. It is being run by those who are mad for power and their minions who don't have the cojones to call them on it. And I will stop with that being said.
Hope all goes well with your Dr. appointment and you enjoy your hair appointment. I have a hair appointment tomorrow.

    Have a great day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  4. Good morning Lynda. How will you take Lopez to your doctor appointment? Perhaps you'll leave him in the car. Yes, the news is so troubling that I simply stopped listening. The US has lost it's heart and soul. Greed has become the operative word. All I can do is pray. Enjoy your hair appt.

  5. It's Kathy. I assume you are seeing on the news about what's happening here in Minneapolis. It's my home city and where I grew up! It saddens me that such violence can happen here - and what continues to happen. This morning starting around 4 am there are protests and the people are not peacefully protesting. My friend works for the Minneapolis FBI and she said people were throwing things at the Agents while they were collecting evidence. ICE is here because of all the fraud that has been uncovered in the last week or 2 - fraud that our leaders have known about for several years but did nothing to stop it. I'm sad, angry, and disappointed in our Leadership. I love the little meme about the pets waiting for us - that is my hope! Have a good day, sounds like it will be a busy one.

  6. The news is difficult to watch. The world is in a downward spiral and unfortunately the U.S. leadership has sold itself to the devil. Your country still seems to have some morals left. I watch the news so that I can make daily phone calls and emails to Congress members and state my opinion. I also attend protests. It is imperative that we do what we can for our grandchildren’s futures. Enough said.
We could sure use your moisture. We are in severe drought where I live. They forecast snow and we get 5 flakes. It too is worrisome.
I think we must all try each day to find some joy in our lives, whether that is watching a bird outside, a walk in the fresh air, or a conversation with a friend. So yes, make the most of the good days! Susan/Colorado

  7. The world has certainly gone crazy. I actually sat here this morning thinking of family and friends who have passed and how lucky they are not to be living through this. Truly sad.

  8. Love the Charlie Brown and Snoopy memes! I don't watch the news - too depressing. I read and do yoga and try to find the positive things in life. Hope Lopez makes it through your busy day today. One of my cats is terribly afraid of strangers....she runs and hides under my bed! She spent all day there Christmas Day because of all my kids and grandkids that were here! Her brother doesn't mind strangers or company at all! A fellow came yesterday to fix the pilot light on my fireplace and my cat was right up there next to him trying to figure out why it wasn't lighting LOL! So funny how the two of them can be so different in temperament - but I love them both dearly as they are good company for me!

  9. Good luck w/your Dr. appt. and your hair appt. and your Retirement Living work to be done.

We’re supposed to get rain and snow, too. Can do w/o it, but guess Mother Nature feels differently.

Yes the news is devastating. There is just such insanity and people just do not care about other people. LIVES MATTER!

Awwwww, yes. Miss Lilly had a few bad days but now is back to her normal self. Thank goodness. Hard to see our fur babies not feel well, because they cannot tell us what is wrong.

And yes, the good days really do matter.

  10. I feel the same about our government. Just sick, sick people. I don't watch the news, never have. I subscribe to a few (online) papers and read the headlines so that I can get the jist, and then that's it. Don't care to read about all those crazy people.
