A bit of "THIS and THAT"

    Good Morning--  President's day in the U.S.to-day-----  and Family Day in Canada--either way it is a holiday--Saturday was National Flag Day in Canada--on our 60th anniversary; to celebrate our red  and white   flag--

I am early, on here-- will carry on with household chores--and return in a bit--I just wanted to wake you all up--I did get Lopez out , early---and we hoofed it up the trail---with , what it seemed like 50.000-other people, all with dogs on a leash--

-It seems--VERY VERY cold outside--but we do have sun--

I hope that your day is going well--I think the sunshine  does brighten our sprit--even with the cold temperatures--We did get more snow overnight-I had to brush the snow off the car--and from around the car--I hear from 25 to 30 cm of snow fell overnight----

I guess that is me--I am certainly over 60 yrs--- so, I could be described  as strong, sensitive,  spirited sassy and a survivor--How about you??--Are you feeling strong?--  I believe you already are, sensitive, and spirited , and certainly sassy---AND a SURVIVOR ---

There is always a great many chores to do on a weekend--vacuuming, walking the dog, cleaning out the frig--the laundry---but---  no driveway to blow the snow off of--no stairs to go up and down-- Mom used to say, "A womans work is never done!"--I believe that!-- I hope you get time for a wee rest--Do you??

Here's to STRONG WOMEN---

It is snowing AGAIN----and lots of it coming down!---I have already been out shovelling around the car--but will be going out again as soon as I post this----  And in case you were wondering, YES--A lot of my friends are kinda crazy! They are the best kind you know--not afraid to laugh at ourselves-- ---Just look at the Ladies in the above picture--LOL----  Lotza fun !

So , I have changed the bed--Sunday morning, that is what I do_And it's not easy to do--because  I feel the bed is larger than the room--One almost has to climb across it to tuck the sheets in--And we now have a cat who sleeps between Himself and I, every night. Last night, I reached over to pat her as she was sleeping, (I thought she was sleeping) and she whacked me with her paw------ I guess she is still a tad on the wild side!-----  You know, I am talking about Sushi--(the cat I brought in from the cold)

So, we have snow---- SNOW EVERYWHERE----  on the car--around the car--in the driveway----lots and lots of it----AND, IT IS STILL COMING DOWN!--I think most of our highways are closed with trucks jackknifed across the highways----

So, I am still missing Elliot Lake---  I think the good Lord is dropping all this snow here to remind me of "Elliot" --and what I moved away from--I will be so happy when all these feelings of, "I want to move back"--disappear----Himself is as happy as a clam at high tide--I think,  living here is like living in Heaven, to him--no stairs--a real walk-- in shower------One day, I hope to  feel the same---and -I  will--in time!---

So, I hope that your day is going well-- Sometimes, one just has to pretend it is---then it really will happen--It just takes time--  I hope!--Remember------

Disappointed with "Blogger"

This is a sad day--- As yu all know, I do enjoy communicating to you all--  but --looking back---  like way back---someone--or ---some people have gone into my comments on your comments , and changed MY WORDS-- to  extremely critical words --on your President--and typed my name onto the comments--so --it looks as if  I was very critical of your President------  I feel terrible--- That is not right--- I would NEVER type in what was put there--  I may not be a big fan of someone--or some things, but I appreciate your opinions as long as the comments are not  derogatory--  I do not know how long this has been going on--  this AM was the first morning I have gone back to read what has been said----  and why was  this allowed??--   Isn't there a way that when you type in whatever you type--that it stays there?--- and  not be changed-- I am disappointed in the BLOGGER SYSTEM----- What can I do to stop this???- Any ideas , I would be certainly appreciated hearing--Lynda---

YES We all deserve a rest---The above Lady has the best idea!

I am just up. and have lotza snow to shove/push  way--but, I had to remind you that this is the day to tell your family how much you love them--

AND

YOU deserve a rest---It is also my "HAIR DAY"--Tell your husband how much you appreciate him---

Hopefully I shall return and check on you all-

Do not try to be Perfect--just real!

-my favourite  carton--so so true?-----So, How are you all?   As we say in the "north----Did you get dumped on????--(with "snow --" ??)--We sure did--60 cm-- fell here--  I have been cleaning around the car-- and the neighbours car--- Plus it is cold out there--minus 7 Celsius  here--with wind-- VERY  WINTERY--

So am I happy to be out of Elliot Lake , with a ton more snow there,  than here--??-- --AND --A VERY LONG DRIVEWAY----which would be left to me to clear--by myself----  SO SO HAPPY TO BE HERE!--Its an act of GOD for sure!--Please remind me of that , when ever I sink to the "depths of despair" --(which I did yesterday)--

                            Well,  I guess whatever will be  eh???-above is me--cozy and warm, inside----

So, when one moves, I am thinking, "the depths of despair" come often--because one remembers all the good stuff--forgets the terrible awful hard stuff--like--- being alone, outside shovelling, for miles and miles--all alone--wet-and cold -- Hey! Maybe the good Lord sent this extremely cold wintery day , , to remind me!----One never knows does one??-- 

HERE----We have NO STAIRS--- A STAND UP SHOWER --A SON WHO HELPS US---- AND HIS WIFE COOKS FOR US----Holy cow! ---  just some of the good things--  and--we have  money  in the bank--- to live on--without a worry---Jeepers Creepers!!------

                        I am listening to my classical radio station--- FM103.1 --so beautiful------ 

 So, I must get on with the snowy day here-- but first, I must remind you all to be happy in the moment---  "Each moment is all we need"--as it says below-----content--grateful--- accepting---

And , I must get off of here-- Looking outside, I see MORE snow falling--Lord love a duck!!!

Just try to be real--not perfect----"be you"----

Snow storm coming--winter cold--'specially on our face--Will spring ever come??--  So much to think about eh?--- Can we put all that aside , and just think about  "US"---Yes, we CAN get thru to-day--

 The sun is actually shining here--for now--  You have groceries in the frig??-- Are yu feeling healthy?--- Are you feeling strong?---  and, the best thing--Are you feeling happy?--Some days really are easier than others---but---- You know, we always always get thru every day--no matter what happens--

I cancelled  my hair appointment for to-morrow--thought I might as well, as it looks like most businesses will be closed -----

Most of this region will be under a winter storm warning--to-day and to-morrow---Is it the same in your area??-

I had quite a time this morning, trying to get  Lopez out---  and when I finally did , it was so cold, I felt like it was going to freeze my face---But, we do have the sun-- and , so far, I see no signs of the storm that is supposed to hit us to-day-- 

I shall add to this later---  I'll try to get Lopez out again-- Remember  ---  You are AMAZING!

  

 

We Can Do It!

 Oh my goodness thought I'd never make it on here---  but--- Here I am---  Lordy Be!!--The storm is coming--so, Son#$2 was down here--early saying, "Mom, You have to get to the grocery store-- We just got back and there is no-one in the store"--

( This was at 5am---- and there I was , standing there in my nightie)---- --So----  I tootled into the  bedroom, got Lopez into his crate-grabbed the car keys--and I was off!)----  down the street, around the corner by the Bank--to FOOD LAND--no-one in the parking lot, so, I ran in------  I MADE IT --before the multitudes!-----and I grocery shopped--- enough for a few days--lotza oranges-- -fresh bread---  veggies-and-----  my downfall--- Gingerale --

You know, yesterday I drove to GIANT TIGER --out the highway--by myself---(Well sorta  by myself--Son#2 sat beside me)--I am getting used to the village here - It scared me at first--'specially after they told me that  I have that eye disease----  but----- I am taking those vitamins and maybe I really don't have that dreaded eye disease--who knows?--(Well, one can hope!???)-

                                    I am kinda a "stick my head in the sand "  type of person--LOL-

So, How is your day going??--Are you facing your world head on???-----or-----no matter what,  hoping for the best anyway??----- 

  So, here, in Lakefield,  we are going to get a bad storm with --like 1000 feet of snow--NO, really about 2 feet of the white  stuff--maybe--

-  Son #2 flew off to Montreal this AM-- will return this evening---  To-day he carried the recyclables to the curb for me--AND THEY TOOK THEM AWAY--even mine-----Lopez will have his Dog  Trainer come-- sometime next week, AND--big news, when Lopez gets in his "growl-y" mood, I tell him to get into his crate--- AND HE DOES---  He crawls in there and I shut the door--so, no more biting, for now--Big news for him!!! These dogs are not easy--boy oh boy!

Himself is good--- (sorta--for him)--I am trying to not eat the sweets--- and more  veggies---   The wash is done--  We have food in the frig--Lord love a Duck!!!  It IS a good day! How about in your neck of the woods??--

Are you feeling like a "fruit Loop in a land of Cheerios"?-----  (not a bad way to feel---kinda like you sorta fit in)  In any event, KEEP YOUR CHIN UP----  (Dads expression)--Just carry on---One more day under our belt----
