Good Morning-- President's day in the U.S.to-day----- and Family Day in Canada--either way it is a holiday--Saturday was National Flag Day in Canada--on our 60th anniversary; to celebrate our red and white flag--
I am early, on here-- will carry on with household chores--and return in a bit--I just wanted to wake you all up--I did get Lopez out , early---and we hoofed it up the trail---with , what it seemed like 50.000-other people, all with dogs on a leash--
-It seems--VERY VERY cold outside--but we do have sun--
I hope that your day is going well--I think the sunshine does brighten our sprit--even with the cold temperatures--We did get more snow overnight-I had to brush the snow off the car--and from around the car--I hear from 25 to 30 cm of snow fell overnight----
I guess that is me--I am certainly over 60 yrs--- so, I could be described as strong, sensitive, spirited sassy and a survivor--How about you??--Are you feeling strong?-- I believe you already are, sensitive, and spirited , and certainly sassy---AND a SURVIVOR ---
There is always a great many chores to do on a weekend--vacuuming, walking the dog, cleaning out the frig--the laundry---but--- no driveway to blow the snow off of--no stairs to go up and down-- Mom used to say, "A womans work is never done!"--I believe that!-- I hope you get time for a wee rest--Do you??
"Keep your Chin up!" I think Shakespeare got it right--
Love your life--Be Happy--- Before you speak-Listen-
Sis, it's the coldest day of the winter here. Not including the 'wind chill,' it's -12F here. That's -25C. No more snow fell, though, and the sun is bright and beautiful. My car has very little snow, but I AM NOT GOING OUT!
ReplyDeleteSomeone (I don't know who) took my recyclables out yesterday. I had set the bag outside my door cuz I wasn't quite ready to take it out. When I opened the door, IT WAS GONE!
I'm planning on laundry and a couple other things, too. There are always household chores.
Has Lopez's trainer been back? How is his training going?
President's Day used to be Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's birthday. Now it sounds like it's meant to be all presidents. I guess that's good. I always feel uncomfortable when everyone isn't included.
Back later, Lynda. I do plan to get a 'wee rest.' Hope you do, too. Music, nap with our without a book, etc. Tomorrow you should get new ones.
{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
If yer recyclables vanished, maybe they put them by the road??--LOL-Yes--too many house hold chores--never ending--Lopez gdt another very expensive training session on the 235th--- Lord love a Duck--He has not bitten me in a very long time-- but he would in a minute if I wasn't figuring out how to outwit him---Good thing I love the wee guy--coz he is difficult--Extremely cold outside like minus15 or minus 16 but its sunny-- YEAHH!!!!!! Hugs to yu Miss Maggie-Lynda

DeleteHi Lynda! Nice and sunny in Ohio! A woman’s work is never done is so true! My husband has the flu so he is living on another level. I do not want it again. I had it 5 weeks in November/December. It turned to bronchitis like it has my whole life. I called the pharmacy yesterday for the drive through and they said their shelves were bare! I finally got him some elsewhere. My tinnitus has been nonstop for four days. Always something it seems but the sun does really help. How is your day going? Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a sunshiny good day, but cold------ I am sorry that yu are sick--nothing worse is there?--Lets hope the meds you found will make yu feel hunky dory again-- Lynda
DeleteThanks Lynda! My husband said the meds are working.
DeleteOMG! A Delta plane overturned at an Ontario airport! I don't believe Matt works at Delta's Pearson airport. Multiple people injured.
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. We also have sunshine and the shine off the snow is almost hard to look at. I had my annual eye appointment today, my husband drove me which I was very grateful for! We woke up to -15 with a lot of wind. It's still below 0 but better now. Going to have a run of another 2-4 days of this but they assure us it will warm up eventually. I should have been cleaning today but I just didn't have the energy for it! Maybe later this week! Tom did do a bit of vacuuming for me - Daisy sheds so much and she just hates to be brushed so I don't fight with her all that often. I need to make it a twice a week habit, I think! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, dreary and crazy cold in St.Louis again today. We're waiting for maybe 12 inches of snow. That will shut us down for days. It will get warm and sunny eventually.
ReplyDeleteLoved the Shakespeare insert. So true. A friend told me she never has expectations and thus is never disappointed. I haven't mastered that.
Stay warm and well.
Love and big hugs from St.Louis. nope, my work is never done...I'm the only one doing it.
ReplyDeleteBitter cold here with snow predicted tonight and through tomorrow. I am missing my house too...think I am just depressed as I have torn my bicep tendon and having pain in my right shoulder and arm....I know I tried to lift and carry things that were too heavy for me when moving to this little rental house and going back for weeks trying to move and inventory all my stuff that has been lost. I hate it that all these negative things have been happening to me....and I need to buck up - because I will eventually get to move back to my home, although it will be around 9 months. So I need to look on the positive side of things. My two cats have adapted well to our little rental bungalow - and they both like to sleep at the foot of my bed, which seems like a "toddler" bed as it it really low to the ground! I guess I don't have to worry about falling out of bed! LOL At least the insurance company furnished this little house for me...as I have nothing, so I just need to count my blessings!
LOL! I very much doubt that's a real Shakespeare quote, but you know he wrote a LOT of stuff in his plays that has come to be cliche to us... so, Okay!
ReplyDeleteKeep on surviving... that's for ALL of us!
