What to do if-- someone breaks your heart--

Good morning--dark here still--AND COLD!-- so important   to face the day--the cold---  with the promise of milder weather on the way--There is snow removal going on here now---  Yeahhhhh!---

Son#2 the Pilot son, is back home here--He sent a picture of what he called  his swimming pool, in Punta Cana, in the Dominion Republic--
                                                            It looks lovely doesn't it??

We had a  call yesterday--from a Lady who I knew years and years ago, in Elliot Lake-- Apparently she lives near Lakefield--I feel the phone call was from God herself--Apparently, she was with my friend Linda , who used to run with me, early every morning, in the dark, but recently, Linda passed --I guess I wrote an article about her years ago-----
(I used to write an article for our local newspaper, called, "The Merry Go Round"---all about raising 5 children and the crazy things that happened-)-This wonderful Lady has offered to introduce me to people --her friends, in Lakefield--Here!----There is a God in Heaven---

So life just goes on and on--minus 24 C here outside----Wee little Lopez needs to go out AGAIN--- He refused to do his business in the cold  when I took him out earlier--

How is your dAy going??--Is  it warming up where you live??----  Are you feeling strong??---  Please don't let the "Doldrums" get you down--or--"the crazies"----  Life can be tough -"-IF WE ALLOW  IT"-

Above, --a picture of my Mom and I--outside her house in Elliot Lake-- Dad and her had just moved up to Elliot Lake from Orlando, Florida-- Little did I know how  difficult that move must've been on Mom--She always wanted  to move back to their place in Florida--but---she never did--I understand now, how she must've felt--
Yes--Take care of you---"YOU"-----  Be strong---  Do what you feel  is good for you---
The world will wait its turn--

  1. Hi Lynda, stupid cold here with snow out there. Supposed to warm up on Saturday. I'm ready.
I'm thrilled that the friend of your friend will introduce you to people there. That's exactly what you need. I hope it happens soon. Getting out, joining a club, meeting new people will make you more comfortable there.
    Bloom where you are planted.
    Love pilot sons swimming pool...
Punch them in the face made me giggle. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good day. Make up your mind to be happy where you are. Count your blessings.
Warm hugs and love from frigid St.Louis

  2. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Still cold here. I'm off in a few minutes to take my Pilates class - I sure don't want to go but my husband offered to drive me - getting dropped off at the door sounds great! We may actually see some warmer weather by Friday and I can't wait. I hope you have a great day today! Love the photo of you and your mom!

  3. Good morning to you, Lynda.
Cold here, too. It's -10F which is like 23.33C. So it's about the same. Plus we have a wind of 10 mph +. Again, I am NOT going out. I am lucky I don't have to walk Lucky! That's why when I moved here I got a cat rather than a dog. Used to have both...and adorable little mice in their separate cages. And a turtle and a gerbil. Oh and fish. Memories...
Like you and your mom. I have memories of mine, too. I swear I can feel her around still...sometimes giving me an answer to something I was wondering about...
Punta Cana looks like somewhere I'd love to be right now!
Let me know when you get your package, sis. I was told the earliest it would be delivered was yesterday. Maybe cold and snow is slowing the delivery down.
Almost time to get busy here. I've just been playing my favorite game here, keeping track of emails, FB, etc. Time to pay some bills now. I want to get that done before lunch.
Lopez will do his duty when it's ready to let itself go.
"See" you later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. How wonderful that God put this Lady in your life to help ease the move for you!

Cold here today! But at least the sun is shining, and it is supposed to get up to 5 above, F this afternoon. Then Mr. Weather Man tells me we are going to break the record for low temperatures overnight tonight. Welcome to Winter, right?

The photo of Punta Cana reminds me of a couple of trips I took in autumn and winter time to Florida. The body is not built to take such sudden changes... or at least mine isn't. Every time I traveled to Florida in Winter I froze. A couple of times it was in the 30's there, while it was in the 70's back in Nebraska.

Hope you have a good week.

  5. Love the 'punch them in the face' meme! I always laugh in comparing the love songs of the '60's and now ... In the 60's it was "I can't live without you." Now it's, "I'm taking my Louisville slugger to your fancy truck." Now is so much better.

  6. Hi Lynda! It is sunny but very cold in Ohio. I shoveled the porch and sidewalk very quickly. Love that swimming pool. We must go there and eat ice cream! Oh, how nice you talked to the lady who will introduce you to friends. That’s fantastic! What a wonderful Wednesday! Hugs!

  9. I apologize for being AWOL Lynda...have been dealing with 2 things at the same time...nearly pneumonia?? how is it nearly?? dr. explanation, not mine.......and the storm we had in January was ice and I was determined to feed the birds and fell, bruised my hip bone so have not felt like being on here much.
Glad your friend is going to introduce you around, that will help a lot to have some ladies to visit with.
how is Himself doing? We had another foot of snow yesterday, and last night when I went to bed at 130 AM it was still coming down heavily and blowing so we have drifts and the darn temps are like 6 degrees right now. UGH. I will need to go out tomorrow and clear off my truck. Don't plan on getting out til Friday. Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky had tornadoes last week, now terrible flooding...things certainly are getting weird weatherwise.
