Good morning--- Happy "Good Friday"--kinda dark and dismal outside here, but-- a typical looking "Good Friday"--=with thunder showers predicted--and a tad coolish--Isn't Good Friday always this way?-
I managed to get thru yesterday-with---NO CRYING---Amazing eh?--Lopez and I walked a lot--I heard from my cousin Doug, and we both remembered visiting Grampa when we were kids --and how much we loved going there. I think because he would play with us, and we loved his what seemed like a huge house with a winding stairway--and cows in the pasture and Gramma baking cookies--
I am STILL coughing--I wonder if it is the RSV virus??--Whatever these germs are, they sure hang on! And I am on an antibiotic-- When will it ever go??--
HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND-
-just-a reminder that this is a special weekend--Get yer best "Bib and Tucker" ready for Easter Sunday---To-morrow-I---Is your day beginning, well??-- Are you "Happy and you know it"?--- Son #2 winged his way back last night from Vancouver--is back here----
Are you feeling strong?--
I will check back here, on you all in a bit--Remember to take it easy ---laugh a lot--- and enjoy the day--=
"Happy Easter , Happy Spring-Happy Happy Everything-- ""
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to rain often on Easter weekends, doesn't it? Rain is expected here in Northern Kentucky on Saturday and Sunday. Not a lot, just enough to mess with Easter Egg hunts. How did helping with Bingo go? Or is that this weekend? That sounds like a fun way to get to know your neighbors and make some new friends.
Have a good day!
Jackie
Hi Jackie--I go to Bingo Monday night-- Interesting eh??--still have this bad cold-- I wonder if it is RSV??-- I never had a shjot to prevent that-- HUgs to yu also-Lynda

Marge/St.Louis
Happy Good Friday, Lynda! So good you didn’t cry yesterday. So proud of you. It is sunny and 77 in Ohio. You better get to Medina. LOL I had bronchitis for five weeks in December and two weeks in February. It was a bad Winter for stuff going around. The worst in years they said. I believe it. It had been nine years for me. Stay strong and have a lovely day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Easter Lynda. 💐Vicki from Mass
ReplyDeleteVicki--It is warm here--No coat needed--nice--LyndA
DeleteHello, sis.
ReplyDeleteYes, Good Friday is almost always dreary. It's cloudy here. We got a lot of rain over night. The weather forcast says tomorrow will be bright and beautiful.
I am going to my daughter's home for dinner. She says my grandson may not be there...he has a girlfriend now and may be invited to her house!
Just came back from Walmart. We stopped at McDonald's and I got a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. I couldn't quite finish it...too full.
I can't eat as much now as when I was very overweight. The doctor would still like me to gain a few more pounds.
Yesterday I got a call to schedule an abdominal MRI. A recheck for a growth on my pancreas! I knew I was Dx with pancreatitis, but didn't know about a growth there!
It's always something, huh?
Sure hope you heal soon. Could part of your trouble be spring allergies? Hope you're getting enough rest, too.
I'll be back later, too, Lynda. Friend coming over to show me how to put on my stove hood vent cover. I cleaned it and am having trouble putting it back on. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Gonna write in a minute-- Hugs--LyndA
DeleteStorms passed through here in waves. Heavy rain, thunder and lightening. Some had hail, but glad we escaped that.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are still having trouble w/a cough! *SIGH* It seems to just linger.
Have a blessed Good Friday and a wonderful Easter weekend.
Clara will be here on Sunday. John and Crystal have to work. Oh well. The usual in the restaurant biz.
Hugs

Happy Easter to yu Barb--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Happy Good Friday to you. We were going to go to church tonight but I think I want to just stay home and relax. Today I'm cleaning the house (if you can actually call it cleaning) so my children aren't totally appalled at my lack of housekeeping. I keep thinking it's time to do some deep cleaning - but maybe not just yet. Sorry it's dark and dreary where you are. We had quite the storm yesterday late afternoon - with hail. It's been years since I've seen hail. Luckily it didn't last very long - Daisy loved watching out the window at all the cars going by! I'm happy you were able to get through one day without tears. When I went through my divorce (from my high school sweetheart) I went to a grief recovery group. I remember someone saying first you'll have moments without the strong grief, then one day you'll have a whole day, and eventually you will start enjoying your days again! Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy--- The sadness is overwhelming--Hope it goes soon--Lynda
DeleteWeather here is the same, cool and overcast. 38 years ago on Good Friday, I flew home on Al Italia... Best food... But worst smoking non-smoking feeding arrangement. Do you remember when they used to let people smoke on airplanes?
ReplyDeleteAnyway I'm glad they don't anymore. Easter is a celebration of resurrection and life, and in my mind I associate it with reunions with loved ones. I hope it's not too soon for you to have good memories of you and Fred, and for those memories to help heal what I know is still a fresh grief.
Hope the kids and you help one another, can you find an appropriate way to observe the holiday.
Hugs!
Yes Matt has been very good to me-- Easter does mean "FAMILY"--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Glad Matt is back. Hope they spend some time with you over the Easter weekend. I've heard there i a lot of people end up with the cough that hangs on for quite a while - forget which condition it goes w one asked you about volunteering, That will help you to meet people and do things and feel better! Have a Good Friday day! Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteSo you have heard of this cold-- and cough- It is bad!--Lynda
DeleteSorry you're still coughing; some of the viruses that go around seem to have a lingering cough. Of course, this time of the year it can be pollen...it's high everyday around here. :D To be on the safe side I've been vaccinated for it seems like every little thing. RSV. Shingles. Pneumonia. Flu shots every year. And of course the Covid vaccination plus two booster injections. I won't probably have another Covid booster unless some new variation comes out that my doctor recommends I vaccinate for. I figure with being an 'elder' and Diabetic it doesn't hurt to stay on top of it; don't heal as quickly as I used to. Also, I don't want to be stuck home sick or be a burden to my children.
ReplyDeleteTonight I'll go to the Good Friday service and am looking forward to it. Every church does it just a little differently, and this will be the first one I've attended at this church; I've only been attending there for 2 1/2 years.
At my old church we put on a full-blown passion play. Palm Sunday morning in church reenacted the triumphal entry on a donkey. Friday night reenacted the last supper through the crucifixion. Sunday morning service reenacted the resurrection, complete with King Jesus riding down the center aisle on a white horse. It was truly amazing and many were saved.
The weather here is cool, highs in the 50's and lows to the 30's. We just never know on Easter week if it will be cold or up in the high 70's. One year we had so much snow during Easter Break from school that school had to stay closed for a couple of days after Easter week.
I'm glad you had a good day with no tears; in the grieving or rough patches it's good to have days when we feel 'normal.'
Happy Friday!
