Good morning--It's a new day---April 27th----Cloudy--coolish--NO SNOW ---- maybe a bit of rain--
So, yesterday, Son#2 and I went to Port Perry-- where my Dad's Mom and Dad used to live.
Do you remember the above picture of Grampa's House??Well, Now it looks like the picture below-
It did look so pretty!!-----My cousin lives up on the hill where we used to slide down--- It was so exciting to go back and see all this--the changes , over time. And Port Perry has grown--All the older homes have been now replaced with new smaller modern homes.--

It was wonderful, to go back in time--see the old house--see my cousin--I left Lopez at home here and he was fine when I returned--So, life goes on--- We lost a "Pope"--same double pneumonia as my Himself, with a stroke to follow--so sad-- seems like a body cannot be so stressed---very sad---Now, if someone had told me this was going to happen, I would never have believed it--And I am still fighting a cough which seems to go with the flu buh which is going around--I hope your day is good-- I hope you are feeling strong--and happy---

I can see the difference in the homes. We seem to use more color in our surroundings now.
I have found out that where I go for my EGD on the 30th is a different VA facility. I've never been there. I am trying to get the driving directions to upload to my phone. It is not working. Yes! It did work. It is 66 miles away.
Your Bingo job will be fun. Will you be the person who calls out the numbers? Jo, Donna and I have been to a casino playing. I have lost lots of $ there.
Trying with the laundry again today. Now I know which washer to use. The load won't be as big...but more will get done.
I had a step counter pedometer that went in my pocket. I loved it. Yesterday I picked it up to reset it for the new day and put it in my pocket. I was in the bathroom. When I pushed the reset button, it slipped...landed up in the toilet! Needless to say, it was not water proof. I have a watch version for senior coming today that is water proof.

And to connect with your cousin! I don't have much of a connection with my cousins anymore - they don't live close at all. And I'm going to Imagine Myself Happy! Have a good day.

DeleteWhat a nice walk down memory lane you got, with your cousin! I always have my little mental rebellion on April 22nd, which traditionally, is Arbor Day, but got co-opted by Earth Day. Arbor day got moved to one of those floating holidays, on the 4th Friday of April, but it was April 22nd as that was J. Sterling Morton's birthday. Isn't it weird, getting old and remember stuff like this?

DeleteAfternoon Lynda! Nice for you to be getting and reconnecting with family. I wish that I would see my cousins more. They are all spread out in MI, plus a lot of them are somewhere across the country so seeing them is much harder. We keep in touch with Christmas cards, so at least there is that. Your grandparents house looks well taken care of, and a new family is making memories there. The circle of life. So Lopez was a big boy and did just fine. That's great! Now you can do more and not worry about him so much. Happy thoughts for you.
