Make it a great day!

Good day to you all--in the dark here typing, before Lopez wakes up--

Yes , we drove into Peterborough last evening, to the Red Lobster, and  had dinner with Son #1 and his wife , and daughter--Man oh man, it was so good to see them!  I believe  their daughter has one dance this evening, and more tomorrow--I probably will not get in to see her dance to-nite, as Son#2 travels somewhere-- , and I could never find my way there--but, hopefully will see them to-morrow--and see her dance--I know, dancing to her , is very special, and she is very good at it.

So, are you OK this morning??

It is only 2 degrees outside this AM--but--to-morrow, it will be a lot milder--up to  11 degrees--Spring is taking it's time  coming in, it seems.--Oh, I just heard from Son#2 and it seems he will be here to-day, so maybe we can see Son #1's daughter, dance--She is very good~

I have some horrible cold in my chest--feels terrible! --I am coughing up all kinds of crud--  It must be something going around--I hope it is not "covid"--Maybe it's the same "bug" Himself had--I hope not!---  but, it comes with a fever etc etc--Have you had this bug?-- It seems to settle in the chest, and you get a deep  terrible cough---I hope it goes soon--

I must get Lopez up here---and Sushi--- --I hope that you are feeling well---  no flu bug--

It is a brand new day-------AND---------=-=-=--------------WE ARE A PART OF IT!!--I hope your day is spectacular---  --MAKE IT THAT WAY__

  1. Hi Lynda, hoping your day is spectacular.
I have the crud/bug for 2 weeks thus far. No fever but the cough is awful. Hope yours goes away soon and your family doesn't get sick.
Wahoo Red Lobster with your kids. How very nice. How does Matt keep his pilot figure eating out so often?
I do hope you get to see granddaughter dance, that will be lovely.
Enjoy your day. Rest and take care of yourself.
    Hugs, love and prayers

  2. Good Morning Lynda,
Happy Friday! Sounds like you had a good night last night with son#1 and family. I hope you get to see your granddaughter dance today. Feel better soon and maybe see a Doctor if you don't feel better soon. You don't want to mess around with that. Have a good one!

  3. Yes, I've had "the crud" for over a month now. Been on 3 different antibiotics. On CIPRO right now. It's the kind of bug going around that lingers on and on and on.

    Enjoy the dance/dances!

  4. Good morning, Lynda.
You must be getting better if you're considering going to your granddaughter's dance recital. I sure hope so...bring lots of tissues and a little zip loc back to put the used ones in. That's what I've done.
My pet has been up, got lots of pets and made me bleed. Can't seem to get him to understand the difference between 'kissies' and 'don't bite your mama!'
Lots to do here...taxes, garbage and recycles, dishes, etc. Still haven't got the car title. Maybe today.
It's cloudy here, but almost 10 degrees above freezing and warmer this afternoon. No rain yet, but a chance of it.
I may try for a car online. Have you heard of that?
Happy you have 2 sons to see today, I take it a daughter-in-law and (I know) a grandchild, too.
Be happy, sis! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Good morning, Lynda! It is cold in Ohio, too. Spring is for sure coming in very slow. I wonder if the dance recital will be a quiet place. You may feel bad if you start coughing and you may be sitting close to others. You may not want to go and with fever it is probably contagious. I sure hope you feel better soon. What a great time going to Red Lobster. My nephew likes for us to pick that up when he comes for Spring break next week. We don’t eat there. Still haven’t since covid and waiting for flu season to end then we may start. Hugs!

  6. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, I had that horrible "crud" in January and the cough does linger. The nurse told me that the infection affects the lungs and that's why the cough stays with you for awhile. But I hope you at least start feeling better very soon. I think it's wonderful that you are going to see your granddaughter dance - how old is she? Decades ago I was a professional dancer and oh how I loved dance. As soon as I got to class or into a performance, all stress and worry went away! In fact, my senior year in high school I was voted 'best dancer'. None of my children or grandchildren have taken it up! And being together with your son, his wife and your lovely granddaughter is a pick-me-up for sure. I love Red Lobster but it's been years since we've been. I love all kinds of sea food but it's not high on my husband's list! I think you are doing amazingly well. You have gone through so much in the last month. I hope Spring comes soon to your neighborhood - the warmer weather always makes me feel better. And this year no lawn to mow!!! Take care and enjoy your day as best you can.

  7. Lynda, is it possible for Matt to take you to a clinic to get a chest x-ray? I would hate to think you have pneumonia and end up in the hospital. It seems you've had a fever for several days, which generally means an infection. Perhaps you need a stronger antibiotic. Nice that you were able to have dinner with Son #1 and his family. Take good care.

  9. OH NO on the Great Hamburger incident! YUCK!

2 weddings I stood up for were challenging. Both had people out of town in the wedding party. So we all had to coordinate. Lord! We all ended up finding a dress pattern and material in the required color that we could each sew. What a nightmare! But it all worked out in the end in both cases.

LOL on the root beer. Have this mental picture.

I have seen the movie “Are you There God? It’s Me, Margaret.” Never did read the book, but if it is like the movie, it would be good.

It is so nice to have those wonderful memories and wonderful relationship w/your sister!

HUGS and here’s to a good FriYaY and weekend.

  10. Oh, yes, that respiratory virus has been making the rounds where I live. Fortunately, we're in full Spring mode with highs in the 70sF and 80sF. The pollen is heavy, so sniffles from that are happening, but it seems like when the warmer weather hits the respiratory things are not so prevalent.

    Happy Friday.
