Shake your Booty!

Good morning--  Up and at-er here-- It looks mighty much like it will be a bit of a rainy day--I believe rain is predicted--So, I woke up at 4am--lay in bed till 5am  thinking about the day--Lopez and I finally did a bit of a walk--It isn't cold outside but very wet--puddles everywhere--

I voted yesterday--at the early poll-- We went in the afternoon and there were no lines--just went right in--It is good to get that over with--- So, now I must collect all the material to do the taxes-- There is always something isn't there--and, to-morrow is Easter Sunday--Hopefully I can get to church--

Does it look like in your neck of the woods, that you will have a good day?--I sure hope that you will make it a great day!----and I  know that you can do that!--

There are a lot of ways that  "Energy" givers may help--
"Walking"---"Planning "--your day--"Music"-- the "TV" helps me--

I hope your day is good--special--  It's Easter weekend--

  1. Good morning, sis. You were up an hour earlier than I was. I didn't need to walk Lucky, but he tells me right away that he wants his breakfast!
I will go to the pet store today to get more of his favorite food.
It's sunny here for a change, but barely above freezing.
Went to the laundry room early, loaded my clothes into the newer washer, put in my quarters...and it wouldn't start! I wondered what the clear plastic cup of dirty water was sitting on the side...it was to tell me that the washer was out of order! I took my clothes back out. Some of them were soaked in that yucky water! I'll go back in half an hour hoping whomever is using the smaller washer will be done. I'll at least be able to get the wet clothes in there. The office manager should reimburse me for the quarters I lost in the big, broken washer.
    It IS always something!
I hope you get to church tomorrow, and glad you will be with family. I will be, too. There is a meal in our Community Room...people bringing stuff...but I'd rather be with my daughter and hers.
Hope your area dries up to make it easier for you and Lopez.
I'll check back again end of night like I always do. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Rainy day here too! And maybe bad storms tomorrow....hope not! Easter dinner will be at my daughter's house since I do not have room in my little rental house for all 15 of us....makes me so sad as I loved holidays at my house with my family - but my house is far from being restored. They have pulled out all the carpets, ceiling tiles/insulation (in basement), power washed all the tile floors, and more - 3 large dumpsters have hauled away all the window treatments and stuff that could not be saved. Holding my breath that they don't have to tear out my new kitchen counter top and cabinets..... But maybe by Thanksgiving I will be able to have dinner back at my home! One of my son's hosted Christmas....so my kids are making sure our families can all be together. I am bringing the ham and deviled eggs and mac & cheese to the dinner tomorrow and the girls are all contributing lots of other sides and deserts - so it will be a great day even if it does storm! I hope you have a blessed Easter! Hugs!

  3. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I do hope you are able to go to church tomorrow. Easter services are always so uplifting. I'm sure you will feel that sadness for a long time but you get up every day, leave a message for all of us, take care of Sushi and Lopez, and do what needs to be done. You should be very proud of yourself for all that.

It's a beautiful day here today. It rained last night even though they told us no rain. I have a full day getting ready for tomorrow. I guess having a few of my children come for Easter lunch gives me a purpose! I've needed that. Cleaning house for the sake of cleaning is just not interesting to me anymore! Take care and have a wonderful day!

  5. Good Afternoon Lynda! Happy and Blessed Easter to you and yours. We will be having a quiet Easter tomorrow. My son will be coming over dinner. Could of went to my sisters but that is always noisy and crowded. She has two sons and 3 granddaughters who are all grown up with their respective boyfriends. Seems the older I get the more I enjoy the peace and quiet. Also it is over a 45 minute ride to get to her place. Weather here is like yours grey, raining off and on and temperatures dropping once again. Once again Mother Nature spoiled us with a couple of warm days. We're going to early service, so that I can get home early enough to start cooking. Hoping you definitely get to go to church. Enjoy the service. Keeping you in my prayers.

  6. Your weather sounds like ours the last 2 days. Lots of rain, lots of puddles. But at least we have some sunshine today.

HOPE that the rain predicted for tomorrow holds off til later so the kids can wear their Easter finery. I remember how much fun that was when I was little.

  7. Hi Lynda! Yes, touch some grass with your bare feet is best, they say. It was downpouring in Ohio this morning as I was going into the beauty salon. I am heading to the kitchen soon to Easter prep. I need a Sadie to help. Lol Enjoy your walks and watch the puddles. Have a great day. Hugs!

  9. We had snow in Colorado yesterday and it is still quite cold today. I spent the morning at a protest, am still frozen to the bone. Who knew I would be waving signs at 72?
Have a good Easter, keep trying to get rid of your cough, and despite our weather, we all know spring is here and summer is coming. Susan in CO

  10. So glad it's puddles and not ice you and Mr. Lopez are walking on. Our weather is predicted to be about 73 tomorrow for the high, with 0% rain predicted. So hopefully the Easter egg hunt for the children at church will go well. It should be in the low 60s about the time that takes place; hopefully the strong daily breezes will be absent. Our mountains still have snow on them, so the breezes are fairly nippy.

We'll have just four around our table tomorrow for Easter dinner. But, that ham will be delicious; I rarely eat ham, but it's one of my favorite things.

    Happy Easter!
