Sprinle a little sparkle-

Good Day--FINALLY I AM ON HERE--This morning-early-I went for groceries--and you know how it is--when you get home, they must be put away--and then Son #4 called with a wee bungalow for  sale in Elliot Lake--He just heard of it---  I know where it is and it is on a lovely street in the section of town I want to move into--Something to think about--I'll have to wait for son#2 to get back here to see if we could swing it--financially--

So, Are yu feeling strong to-day? STRONG  is beautiful!!!!     It is not easy to feel strong every day--I am not sure if I feel as strong as I should feel--Living alone is very quiet---kinda lonely-- Well, Lopez  helps me out--for company--AND IT IS COLD OUTSIDE THIS AM_-No snow here --or falling--but cold!                                                             Strong is beautiful!

I just walked Lopez--  He barks at all the dogs walking by--large dogs--I believe he think he is a big dog--And I paid the Funeral charges for Himself---It is good to get that over with---They certainly were very kind--We shall have a service for Himself in the summer in  Elliot Lake--For the people who live in town --=many of his patients-

-I hope that your day is going well--

  1. Well, that bungalow in Elliot Lake in the part of town you want to be in sounds like something to at least think about. Definitely good to talk it over w/son#2.

Oh my little Miss Lilly is small, too (not as small as Lopez), and she thinks she’s part of the big dog category attitude-wise! LOL

((HUGS)) and smiles! Yup . . . have to remain strong, right!

    2. Honestly, I would wonder if you want the responsibilities/work of a house. Obvs, it would not be as big as your previous house, but . . . maybe time to settle for something that would be a little less work. And for sure you don't want something that would require fix up. You've already been through a huge move! HUGS

  2. Glad to 'see' you here, sis.
A small bungalow? Maybe 2 bedrooms, 1 floor? Sounds great! If you really want Elliot, I hope you can swing it.
Sushi keeps you company, too, right? You didn't mention her.
My new car is terrific...I am so blessed.
Yes, lugging the groceries in and putting everything away is lots less fun than shopping for them! We won't mention the cost.
Weather is sunny here, but still cool. It will get a bit warmer later, but it's still jacket weather. At least we've said 'so long' to boots, gloves and heavier hats.
Guess that's all I got right now. I'll check back later for comments, though there haven't been any the last couple days. Love ya anyway. {{{HUGS}}} Maggie

  3. Hi! Were you able to look at the bungalow online? Was it in good shape and have what you need? Nice of son# 4 to let you know about it. I wonder if now that you have tried apartment living if you want to go back to all the maintenance of a house? As you said, something to think about, and maybe it is an answer to your prayers. I hope you do not drive yourself crazy with trying to make a decision, again, do a pros and cons list, be honest with yourself about your reality and capabilities, and then decide and don’t question the decision.
Glad you get out and walk. Put on some music so the apartment isn’t so quiet. And keep working on getting your strength back after your cold/flu bug. Hugs! Colorado Susan

    1. Susan---trying to find out if that wee house is fixed up--furnace etc--- It would take all my $$$ so I"d hate to have repairs--- I just might turn it down which means I am stuck here longer--Lynda

  4. We are having our 'regular' spring weather. Last week we had highs in the 80'sF with hot sunshine. This week we are having predicted highs in the in the 50's moving up into the mid 70's through the course of the week. And a possibility of rain today or tomorrow.

So glad your weather is nicer now, so you can get out and walk Lopez; so nice to get out the house regularly without freezing like in winter.

    Happy Wednesday.

  5. Hi Lynda, I too went grocery shopping today and just finished putting everything away.

Regarding the bungalow, are there photos online, or could Son #4 go to an open house and take a video of it for you to view? Do you know if you would have a lawn that you would have to mow? You gave away all of your gardening equipment. Did he mention if it had a garage? Do the appliances come with the bungalow? It's something to consider since it seems you really want to return to Elliott Lake.

Were you able to check to see if you can volunteer at the community center?

I hope you have fully recovered from feeling ill.

    1. Maureen--so much to think about--So far it seems that little house would take up all my cash--- so leaning towards not getting it--which means I am stuck here still--Lots to think about eh??--Lynda

  6. Hi Lynda: I agree with all the above comments regarding the bungalow. Still good to talk to son #2 and remember that the sons in Elliott never helped much and Matt helps all the time. Have you checked out anymore about volunteering? Are you feeling better now? Hugs Brenda

  7. It's Kathy. Nice of Son #4 to let you know of a place that's for sale in Elliot Lake. It's good to talk it over with Son #2. I can only imagine how quiet it is for you now. My husband and I don't interact all that much during the day - he is in his studio downstairs and I'm upstairs. But I KNOW that he's down there and is available if I need to talk to him. He's planning some overnight trips up north so he can do some sketching and take some photos - I'm sure I will miss him a lot. But I do have Daisy to keep me company. I hope you are feeling better after being so ill! Have a good rest of your day!

  8. Lynda, Marti here. I know how loneliness feels, but I mostly enjoy my own company. I've lived most of my adult life alone, other than when I was married for 13 years, but that was a long time ago. He died in 2013. All of my family is gone now, except my cousin who is fit as a fiddle at 80, but I really don't see her too often, just holidays. I see a few friends about once or twice a year, they don't live in my town, and my bf visits from out of town, but it's mostly me. I have my dog Jake, thank goodness! :) At least your son is right there, close by, for what seems to be often.
