The best things in the world begin with the letter ----"L"---

Life, Love, Loyalty, Lynda, Lipstick.  ---etc etc--LATE-----

I am later than late, posting--but----  I AM HERE NOW! --You see, I had to get groceries---by myself--in "MY" vehicle---- and it all went well--= I absolutely loved driving my car!--It is the first in a very long time, that I just took "the bull by the horns"--and got in the car--started the engine--and away I went to the grocerty store--IN THE DARK!__

I was the only one in the store when I first got there. You see, it is a 24 hr grocery!----So, when I got home I had to haul in these groceries--- clean out the frig ---  and put the groceries away--I am so proud of myself for doing all that alone! --When I get back to Elliot , I will have to do everything---alone---I surmise!

Below is Son#2's plane, waiting on the Tarmac, in Toronto,  getting ready to fly to Britain--which is where he is now--on a train, going to visit his brother-in -law--
-                                -And he just sent you all, what he sees out the train window--

                                                        It looks so quiet---- lovely!!

I hope that to-day you feel fantastic!!----  Sunshine--Lollipops----  and a "Lovely" day here--I hope that you all are enjoying this day!!----I also, hope to-day is a day when everything goes so right for you--and that you are blessed to-day!

  1. Good Sunday Morning,
Glad you were able to venture out and go to the grocery and going early before it got busy. It's pretty cool Matt gets to see so many lovely places being a pilot. Riding a train across the British countryside sounds wonderful. One of the places I would love to visit.
    Have a great day!

  2. Good morning, Lynda!
Yes, it's a beautiful day...mostly cloudy here, but no rain 'til tomorrow.
We ARE blessed...more than we know. And those 'bad' things...what the Law of Attraction calls 'contrast,' that tells the Universe what we really DO want. We need to think of those things and appreiate what we already have.
I love driving my car, too. So far, I have to do things alone, too (Lucky doesn't count). At other times, though, I know who to ask for for help.
We did go to karaoke last night, but left before 10PM. It is always SO cold in that place. We couldn't take it anymore.
Today an endless quest for the washer being available. May get my floors done, too. And a pedicure.
The photos your son sends are always enjoyable. Love to see that farm land in person.
Congratulations on your accomplishments! Now you will have time for leisure...piano, nap, reading your books on your tablet...lovin' on your pets. That's important stuff, too.
    Later...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Good for you, Lynda! Glad that you were able to successfully complete what you set out to do! Keep up your driving skills and confidence as you will probably use them more often when you return to Elliot Lake in August. Glad that your son keeps you (and us) looped in to where he is, what he eats, and what he sees…interesting! It is a gorgeous, sunny day here at the beaches of central FL…no humidity…yet!! It’ll be here soon enough. Eissa7 (Karen)

  5. Wow, you have a 24hr grocery store? Not here anymore, ever since COVID. We now have grocery stores that open 6am and close at 11pm, but they are open 7 days a week. A lot of places around us have adjusted their hours. We used to have a restaurant that was open 24 hrs/7days a week. Now they open at 8am and close at 10 pm. Guess that's how it's going to be, and to be truthful I think it's enough time to be open. Glad you got your grocery shopping accomplished and started back driving. Everytime I drive I thank my Dad for forcing me to learn how to drive. I never wanted to. My Mom didn't drive and I think he never wanted his daughters to be the same way. I do enjoy having the freedom to go if I need to. I must say I'm now a nervous driver like when I first started driving. The way people drive nowadays just scare me. They are always cutting you off, or not using their turn signals, or drive like a maniac.

  6. It's Kathy. Isn't that the very best feeling, when you do something outside your comfort zone and find out that you did it with ease! Well, it was probably a lot of work for you, especially putting all the groceries away - that's my least favorite part of going shopping. The sun has finally decided to show up for a bit. Rain and possible storms coming tomorrow! Love the photo of the English Countryside! I'm glad your son has a chance to visit his brother-in-law! Have a good day!

  7. Hi Lynda, Marti here. I had a great time yesterday, a friend came, we went to lunch, and went downtown to look at some of the new shops that are in this recently reopened very old Arcade (which has a glass top). I bought a candle warmer, a candle to put on it, and a little ceramic angel (I love everything angels). A very nice time, though a little chilly, and blustery, maybe about 58, and not much sun. Today is much nicer, high of 68, and SUNshine and bright blue skies. I will go over around 3 to help an elderly neighbor next door with some things. So I haven't been lonely this weekend, which is nice, b/c I usually am when my bf isn't visiting. I did my grocery shopping yesterday, two different places, so I'm all done with that. Today is laundry day.

    Have a lovely day!

  8. Good for you Lynda, driving to the store and getting your grocery shopping done. You must keep up your driving skills because if I remember correctly, you have a greater distance to drive in Elliott Lake. Do you still change your bed on Sundays? I do all of my laundry and change the bed on Fridays. I usually do my grocery shopping on Thursdays. I like a routine for doing things.

Have you managed to get the dimensions for the rooms at your townhouse? I think that's very important because you need to know if your queen size bed will fit in one of the bedrooms. No point in moving the bed to EL if it's not going to fit. You could sell it ahead of time.
    Enjoy your day.

  12. I didn't realize you'd not been driving much in Lakefield; it's nice to hop in your own car and go where you want, when you want. It's enjoyable to have 'the kids' want to do things for us, but knowing we can do what's needed for ourselves is liberating. I know the day will come when perhaps I shouldn't drive, but that's a way off.

So nice that Matt is able to enjoy and spend a little time with folks he knows when he travels to different countries. So many lovely memories he's acquired.

Today it's 39F for the low and 52F for the high here. Cloudy. Light winds, as usual. Yestereday we had scattered rain showers all day. We're having a long cool Spring this year, which I'm enjoying. Some years we seem to have about a week of Spring weather, then go straight into the heat of summer.

    Happy Sunday.

  13. Good Evening Lynda
So moving back home, that is a lot of work. I sure hope you don't wear yourself out. My Easter was uneventful. We actually celebrated on Saturday. Hubby's birthday was yesterday. We went to a Mexican restaurant and I ate way too many chips!! I won't even mention the cake and ice-cream. Dan turned 80. We are getting around, and going for walks. Wish I could come and help you pack.
That piano will be a nightmare. Did you move all your clocks?
I haven't moved since we have been here and I know when we do it will be a chore. Have a Good Evening
