Unplug, Disconnect, Detach-!

Good morning--I believe to-day will be a good day--so, get up--and at-er---The sun is behind  the clouds-The day looks "promising"!- So, get out of the house-- outside--- and even if you are worrying about everything, you can worry about it all outside--Good idea eh??--

I did get the giant bed made  earlier this morning--The sheets  are in the washer--And my goal this week is to get the snow tires off the car---

Very sad news this AM-=-The Pope died-- double pneumonia--same as  my "himself " had--  very sad as  he seemed to be a  POPE  who loved the people-- plus, he seemed to be getting  better-----Life  is very precarious----

Did you have an enjoyable Easter Holiday??-- It was lovely to have that Holiday weekend wasn't it?---so relaxing to do whatever we wished---at least for a few days----

Did some of you get to the beach?--I know , when our children were younger, we would drag them down to Florida where my Mom and Dad  lived, and catch a few rays of sunshine after a very cold winter here in the North. ---and usually we would drive--a 3 day drive from Elliot Lake--So many good memories---

So, Happy Easter, Happy Spring--Happy happy everything!

I must grab some breakfast here--  I am still coughing ---  and hoping and praying this awful virus leaves me soon!--"Keep your chin up" as Dad used to say-- Remember how special you are--and how fortunate we are to be a part of this world!

  2. Good morning, sis!
Yes, I had a really good time at my daughter's house with my son-in-law, grandson, his girlfriend, her mom and little sister! And the dog, of course.
We laughed, talked about lotsa stuff, ate too much...The only negative was as I had driven 40 miles and was almost home, my daughter called to say, "You left your purse here." (I was carrying a large bag of leftovers to the car) We are going to meet (maybe somewhere halfway between us) so I can get it. Pray I won't get stopped: my license and other ids are in the missing purse!
It's a shame about the Pope. Hope he didn't suffer too much. Now there will be a new Pope. I hope he will be as forward thinking as Francis was.
It's cloudy here now, but the weather was just on the radio. It's supposed to be sunny by this afternoon.
Did you eat out yesterday or did someone cook? Doesn't matter, but I hope you were with your son and daughter-in-law.
    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda
Easter was quiet here. Stayed home and watched rain. Your beach trip Easter memories sound wonderful. Sounfs like you enjoyed your day with Matt and DIL.
Tonight you start your volunteer job
Hope it's enjoyable. After a couple weeks you'll know lots more people.
Hoping your wee yard comes to fruition
You can plant and tend to flowers. Best wishes.
Enjoy your day and if you must worry..do it outside. I like that.
Still have my cough...week 4 but it's finally getting better. Hang in.
    Have a lovely day.
Sending big hugs, lotsa love and prayets

  4. It's Kathy. Yes, I am very proud of myself for pulling off a nice Easter brunch for some of my children. Everything turned out really well. And they both stayed for a couple hours after we finished eating - that is not the way it usually works. It's nice to see them and catch up in real time.

But... always a but isn't there. I was so very tired by the evening and my poor body was screaming at me! I guess it's going to have to get used to me getting back to my real life.

Yes, very sad about the Pope - he did seem like he really cared about the people. Not being catholic, I don't really understand the hierarchy of the Catholic Church but I can see a lot of people are very sad! I hope you have a good day! We had rain last evening and all night but now there's sunshine. I'm going to try and get out with Daisy this afternoon!

  5. Good morning Lynda, no wonder you've been sounding so chipper with news about the house in EL. I hope it all works out in your favor. I hope the wee yard is fenced in, so in nice weather you can sit outside and Lopez can roam around.

Ah, tonight is your debut appearance at Bingo. It's great that you have something social to look forward to, and an opportunity to meet people, even if you eventually move to EL.

I am sad about the passing of Pope Francis. I am a Catholic and marvel that even on his last day on Earth, he went out among the people to give a Papal Blessing. In the days to come a new Pope will be chosen by the Cardinals, one of which will become the new Pope.

  6. Afternoon Lynda, good tidings to you. We have a grey and rainy day here. Temps have warmed a bit but it sure is windy. Our Easter was quiet with just our son, hubby and I. I made way too much food, but at least son took most of it home. Now he doesn't have to cook for a very long time. Everything turned out good. Hope the house in EL comes through if that is what you want. Enjoy your volunteering tonight. Hope you meet a lot of nice people. Sad that Pope Francis passed. He was one of the better Popes in my opinion. More of a people person. Wonder who the new Pope will be.

  7. Hi Lynda! I cooked yesterday and catered a couple meals. It is nice in Ohio but got soaked out planting today. I didn’t mind. Enjoy your bingo outing. Hugs!
