ReplyDeleteYou have dreary weather today, but here the is a beautiful blue sky. From where I'm sitting at my pc, I cannot even see a cloud. Not warm yet, but it will be in the 60s F later today.
They did the rust protection and interior protection on my car yesterday, but I will need to do another appointment for the windshield and extra key fob. I got it back for now, though.
I couldn't unplug, sis! Between my phone, desktop pc and Kindle, not even to mention the connections I have in my new car...I'd be lost. I do believe that our best connections, however, are with our own guidance (intuition), spiritual beliefs and the feelings in our heart.
I just thought of somethins: When you get 'home,' you will have your former hair lady again! That will make you happy!
That's all we need to do when we feel bad...think of something that makes us happy!
I don't think you should start packing yet...unless it's stuff that you know you will not want to access before you move. If you still have boxes yet unpacked, maybe just leave them.
We don't know if there's karaoke tonight or not. If there is, we plan to go.
Hope whatever you choose to do today, it will be wonderful for you.

Hi Lynda! Same weather as you here in Ohio but windows open and birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. Get measurements for your bedroom at the townhouse and then compare to your bedroom now to decide about the bed. I have done that before. Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lynda, if it is going to rain, I suggest you wait until tomorrow to do your grocery shopping. You still have a cough, so you don't want to make things worse. As for you doing some packing versus leaving it all to the movers, here's something to think about. When you were leaving EL, things were rather rushed, and the movers packed everything. Now you have time to look around and decide if some of the things that came with you are things you no longer want or need. You could box them up and take them to a thrift shop. Maybe set aside and an hour or so a day and go through things.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.

Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yesterday was my detach and disconnect day. It rained in the early morning, then the wind came, eventually the sun popped out but it was kind of a dreary day. So I just enjoyed it. Started a new book. Went outside with Daisy for awhile and picked up some sticks - we have so many scattered throughout our yard right now. My neighbor has a mostly dead tree that drops lots of tiny sticks. I will need to rake them up but maybe I'll wait a bit longer. Don't want to hurt the bees! Today is sunny and warmer - no wind. I will go out and work some in my garden beds, they are all in such bad shape because I couldn't care for them last year. I want to get my garden weeded out and tilled up by Memorial Day - because that's when I want to plant! So much work to do but I will take it one step at a time! This afternoon is a really good time to take Daisy for a walk too! I need to build up my stamina. I hope you are giving yourself a day of rest - maybe going to the grocery if you feel like it! I like the idea of our loved ones being just one thought away. My dad's been gone for 22 years now but I miss him still! I do talk to him sometimes, it's helps!
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Lynda! Tuesdays are my detach and disconnect day. That is when hubby goes golfing in his golf league. That is the day I have to myself and do exactly what I want to do. Sometimes, I make myself very busy, sometimes I do a spa day, and sometimes I do absolutely nothing but read or play on the internet. Nothing wrong with take time for yourself, in fact you deserve it. If it was me, I'd absolutely take the piano. Let the movers figure out how to get it moved again. Also I definitely would look into a smaller bed. I wouldn't want to mess trying to change sheets on a king size bed all the time. I think I've said that to you before. It's time for you to live for you and not feel guilty about it. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteI like the everyone you've loved is just a thought away. That is comforting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will take an unplug, rest day.
Whatever you do, enjoy this day doing what pleases you.
Hugs, much love and prayers

My relax and enjoy day is generally Sunday afternoon after returning from church. That is a day I sometimes stop for a 'feast' meal for lunch on the way home... chili cheese fries or maybe a grilled cheese sandwich; things I don't regularly eat. Sunday afternoons I don't worry about any chore or thing that needs doing. As I'm retired I could do this any day I want, and will sometimes have a lazy day during the rest of the week, but I thrive better with a routine and accomplishing things most days.
ReplyDeleteOh, when you move will you have a few flowers in your little yard? I recall you used to do lots of outside work ... not sure if it was a 'have to' or a 'have to that you enjoyed.'
Hi Lynda: You obviously can't wait to get back to EL. Hope if turns out as good as you are hoping and your house agrees with what you want. And you must take your piano. It's what gives you a lot of contentment. I hope Matt has come to terms with your leaving so soon and that someone else will come and drive you back. His brothers don't seem to help you much though. Hugs Brenda
