However it is a good day to have a good day--Lopez, Sushi, and I, are up--- not "at-er" too much yet--but--I am trying to be!--still coughing--This flu is so hard to shake!
Well, I shall be moving back to Elliot Lake-- kind of the end of July--The Townhouse is available August 1st--more unpacking--- I hope that I can survive all this!! The unpacking will not be fun-----My kids are telling me to leave the piano but-- I do love my piano-- I cannot imagine leaving it! Pianos are difficult to move-- They do not enjoy being moved!--
I must call a few movers and get quotes--What are you up yo to-day?---Are you feeling strong??-- Are you "happy" --and you know it??--Mom used to say, "Then clap yer hands!"---I have SO much to do, I hardly know where to begin-- And I do feel as if I've been thru a wringer--Will that feeling ever go??--
I shall try to be "POSITIVE"" ----There is no other way--- I made it down here---------Now , all I have to do is make it back home--Positive thoughts----
-Positive thoughts---
Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Yes, you will make it. You can do it. Start making lists of what you must do. If you want your piano, take it. You might want to switch out the king bed for a smaller one. You have to decide lots. As you pack up things you don't use you may find things you don't want to move.
ReplyDeleteWe have no idea of the size of rooms, closets etc. Is there a 1/2 bath on main and a bedroom on main? A garage?
Lots to decide and do. Stay strong. At least you won't be moving in snow.
The cough lingers and lingers. Week 4 for us.
Tell us about your new EL home. Be happy. Stay strong. You can do it.
Hugs, love and prayers

Marge --Yu are so good--=Thank yu--= I jut cnnot imagine another move---but-=-it os going to happen-=-I appreciate your advice--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda.
ReplyDeleteTake your piano! The only alternative is to see if you can buy a used one or rent a new one in Elliot. That may not be possible. You need that piano!
Lucky and I are up, too. He demanded more breakfast than usual. Now he is back in the bedroom sleeping.
One of my friends here had to take her very sick kitty in to be put down yesterday. You know how that one feels.
I'm just kinda passing time today waiting for my guy at the dealership to contact me saying I can pick up my car and turn in this loaner. May check the laundry room again, though. Or go to the phone store to upgrade my quite old Android. There have been several new versions since I got it, and there is a great offer on the newest one in my email.
I shall return!
Love your positive thoughts. That's what I attempt, too. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
YES! Positive thoughts--- The onl;y way-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! I know you want that piano! I remember how you bought that and the connection to your dad! Take it with you once more! Cloudy and cooler in Ohio. So nice! Hope you have a fabulous Friday! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI heard it had ben hot in Ohio--but now it is cooler--- That is good I guess-Lynda
DeleteNope, you can't move without the piano. Maybe special movers for that piece of furniture? I know that moving back to the place you love, and to an environment that is familiar and "home" to you, will bring comfort and a feeling of belonging. That said, I hope the master bedroom is on the ground floor. Back to two-hour trips for eye and advanced medical care, though. And you'll be back home just in time for...winter! At least you won't be shoveling for hours to get to the road.
ReplyDeleteAnd...maybe it's time to think about a smaller bed.
ReplyDeleteNo--- I'll keep the bed-- Maybe Fred is in it??--(Kidding of course)--but the piano must come-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I am so happy you will be able to move back to Elliot Lake. Back to where things feel familiar and you have friends. Yes, it will be more work for you but once you're settled there you will feel more like yourself again. And I absolutely think you need to bring your piano. My mom had a piano and loved playing it. After she passed away we sold it to someone who loved playing piano - there was no place in my home for it. But I sometimes wish I had taken it and found a spot. That was the single most important thing to my mom! You have some time now to think about what needs to be done, and you can slowing start planning. I'm excited for you! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteKathy--Another move--- Awful eh??--- But it will be the final move!--Lynda
DeleteI'm with the other commenters on the piano....and as someone who plays piano also...absolutely take it..it is alway a good companion...Linda from WI
ReplyDeleteYes--that piano has to go thru ANOTHER move-- Poor Piano!-Lynda
DeleteYes, the weather said rain. It’s cloudy but no rain yet.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Pianos do not enjoy being moved! But I hope your move goes well.
Sending positive thoughts.

No for sure pianos do not like moving--- Lordy!!! Lynda
DeleteI agree with several comments saying take the piano. You now have time to enjoy playing it. And, if the living area is a bit small, you can get rid of another piece ... living on your own, you don't need as much seating. In my family room, I have very limited seating because I'm really the only one that uses it. If I need extra seating, I just pull in a dining room chair or two. Also agree about getting a smaller bed; your bedroom will feel roomier. I sleep in a twin bed and have for decades since my divorce, because I don't like a crowded bedroom. Since I retired I have a lovely small recliner chair in my bedroom where I relax for a bit before bed.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.
I hope the move goes well, and that you can connect with old friends when you get there.
Happy Friday.
Always good to herar from yu and ideas to think about--Lynda
DeleteHi Maureen--- Another move--I just hope I survive it!--LOL--Lynda
