Good Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteWe had storms here last night and heavy downpours of rain. We have several tree branches to pick up in the yard. Another round of rain and storms are expected on Thursday. Spring showers bring May flowers, so they say. Going to enjoy the sunshine today while it's here. It's my Birthday today, so there's that.
Have a good day!
Jackie
HAPPY BIRTHDAY___ I HOPE YOUR DAY IS SPECIAL-- LOTZA love, Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! Happy Wednesday! It was stormy in Ohio last night but beautiful today and then several rainy days. Your time there will go fast for your move. Get Speed Queen for your washer and dryer. We have it. The laundromats use them. After my husband retired from the Navy he went into appliance sales 12 years ago. Glad your taxes and election are both done. Yay May! Tommy will be 2 on Friday! Hugs to you and your fur babies!
ReplyDeleteYU sound bight and wide awake this morning-- nice!--It is beginning to look like a lovely day---= Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, nice that you no longer have to concern yourself with taxes. By any chance do you still have the "TO DO" list that Matt prepared for you when you were moving from EL to Lakefield? If you do, just work on it backwards. That will give you a sense of accomplishment as you tick things off the list.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day goes well and that you're less lonely.
Maureen from California
Oh maureen It was a better day-- Thank yu for asking-- funny how some days are so lonely--and some are OK--Lynda
DeleteAfternoon Lynda! I bet you're glad the taxes are done. I know I was when ours was done. After yesterday's high winds I'm glad for a calm day. Beautiful sunshine and cooler temperatures. We got up to 86 degrees here in MI. Broke a record for temperature. Going to get ready to go walking in a bit. I am waiting for it to warm up just a tad more. Wishing you a good day today and hope you accomplish what you want to. Here's to the beginning of better weather.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is a lot better--- and I think I will strt a "Widows Club" when I return to Elliot---- Widows need to get together--LOL--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I love the family photograph! I'm glad you didn't lose power. We are having a beautiful day but it's a busy one for me. Had my Pilates class this morning, meeting a friend for coffee soon, Daisy has her vet appointment and then getting together with my bible study group for dinner. More than I usually do in a week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry yesterday was a hard day, but you got through it! And Yes We Can! Take care!!!
Think I will start up a group--like--"The Wise Widows"or something-----Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, I love the family photo. Himself and boys were young.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry yesterday was a hard day..hoping today is a tad better.
Storms in St.Louis...we've had 9 inches of rain in APRIL. More storms on the way but we haven't lost power.
Taxes done and elections over...good
Enjoy today.
Big hugs, love and prayers
Marge/St.Louis
Taxes done and even $$$B back---Good!--Lynda
DeleteGood evening Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you had a bad day. Let the tears flow. You deserve it.
I loved the song "Let it Be". The Beatles was my favorite band. I was lucky enough to see them when they were in Chicago. I was 12 or 13 at the time. It must be nice for your son to come and share coffee w/you in morning. I sure you will miss that when you move back "home". I also loved the photo. Everyone is so young-makes you wonder where did the time go. It is raining here, but it is suppose to stop in 45 min. Hopefully I can get out and do another walk. I am trying to register 10,000 steps ea. day.
Take care My friend. (Hugs) Bev
Good for yu Bev---Did yu get all the steps in??--Lynda
DeleteGreat blog, as always, sis.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of you, Fred, the kids and dogs!
We had a nice day here. Not too warm, but some sun and no rain. Good day to drive up to get my EGD done. You'll never guess...I HAVE A FUNGAL INFECTION IN MY ESOPHAGUS! There is a medication I use. I am supposed to rinse my mouth afterward. I must've been in a hurry once and forgot. Taking another med now. Esophageal thickening and choaking during eating soon to be gone.
Lynda, still no friends to pal around with there? I had really hoped that you'd have some by now. You know...those ladies who showed you around town, the neighbors, etc.
You will really be glad to get back to Elliot Lake.
Did you get quotes on moving the piano or will the movers who move the rest of your paraphanalia do it?
Just woke up from a much needed nap after my busy morning. Better get something done around here. I'll be back before bed to check comments. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Moving back--WITH the piano--is about $8000--but0--worh it--- I think I should start a "Widows Club" back in Elliot--- maybe meet once a week--Lynda
DeleteLove the pictures!!
ReplyDeleteDonna from Lansing IL
Donna--It was a very old picture--but old pictures are great!--Lynda
DeleteContinuing Spring weather here today; 72F high, 47F low, breezy and high pollen.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're able to get out and walk Mr. Lopez when you feel a bit down. It's always good to get out of the house and around other people when feeling down; even if we don't do more than smile and say hello, it's good to move and be involved in life.
I imagine you're glad to have the taxes done; I tend to do mine pretty promptly in the off-chance I'd have to pay, so I can avoid having that surprise last-minute.
Happy Wednesday.
A thought about your widow’s club idea. I joined a grief group after my husband died and found it to be helpful and also met some people to have coffee or lunch with. See if one is in the area.
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Grief is like a tsunami. Sometimes the waters are calm the all of a sudden this huge wave washes over us. But it retreats. So, hang in there.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the picture of you and your family!
HUGS
