A NAP is a MINI SLEEP VACATION FROM LIFE!

Where has the time gone ???

To-day is Friday, November 14th--We have sunshine--cold temperatures--Lopez and I have been out--HE DID HIS BUSINESS!!! and---  guess what?----Son#2 , the Pilot called (this morning)--and---  will be staying here for a pre Christmas visit, the end  of this month--Can you believe that??--I do have a spare bedroom, fully furnished--brand new--Queen sized bed and all--so exciting!!--

So--  this AM., "Words of Wisdom"---
#1. Kids need more hugs than they need more things"--
#2--People who were happy as children tend to be happy as adults-
      #3--Have patience with yourself!

This --the above picture--was the sunrise this AM---
                                        ---------so so pretty---
and the new tiny dining table--
Isn't it just the cutest table?--
So---as each day passes---life continues on--

Lopez and I walked earlier--AND IT WAS ICEY---even wearing my winter boots, it was very slippery--
So--Life just goes on and on--I have made some new friends--people who have lost their partner--same as me--I have learned that "death"--"Dying"---  is a normal part of life--not a very nice thing for sure--but-- you know, the children who are left here with me, are VERY helpful--Maybe that is why we have children eh?---something to think about--

SO---- WE carry on--- try to cope----try to be happy--  try to be strong and believe that life is happening the way it should--Accept the "good" -- love the children--and the pets--and the people we meet along the way--AND,  OF COURSE---  WE ARE STRONG-----
and------  Naps  are our friend!

  1. It's Kathy. What a beautiful sunrise! I'll have to admit, I haven't been up before sunrise for a long time! But occasionally I see a beautiful sunset. Busy day today - very warm so all the outside stuff has to be completed. Nothing much else going on. I'm so glad your son will be with you for a bit - it's always good to catch up with our children. I do miss my daughter who lives in Roanoke, Virginia - haven't seen her in over 2 years. The kids are all growing up and it's hard for them to come to Minnesota. Have a lovely day!

  2. Good Friday Morning Lynda,
Wow! what a beautiful sunrise picture. Just lovely!
I was watching for the Aurora Borealis on Tuesday and Wednesday nights but we were a little south of where we could see it. Those a little north of us got to and took some gorgeous pictures of it. Maybe next time.
Good news that son #2 will be coming at the end of the month. That's wonderful.
And glad to hear you made some new friends at the grief meeting.
That table and chairs are perfect for the space.
    Enjoy your Friday!

  3. Hi Lynda! It is mild and high 57 in Ohio. I live your cute dining set. I would hang Fred’s pic right on the wall there. That would be perfect! How is your day going? My ears are buzzy, the furnace man is coming so I must go put the yorkies away before he gets here. Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  6. LOVE your sweet dining room table. Perfect!

DD has been absolutely an earth angel w/helping us since I broke my hip in July. DS and DIL . . . well, not so much. So it goes. I am grateful beyond words for all her help.

Naps . . . oh boy. Lifesavers some days! Definitely do not operate heavy machinery while napping. Except a crock pot . . . a crock pot is ok! LOL

That is wonderful that DS #2 will stay w/you for a quick visit. Wahoo!

HUGS and blessings to you, Sushi and Lopez.

  7. Hi Linda. I love your cozy home. I wanted you to know that I felt lost when my marriage broke up and I left my big, beautiful home to live in a one bedroom apartment. I had to buy furniture for each room and wish I had seen a table like you have. I think that's awesome and just the right size! You're doing well. Make some women friends, perhaps women who go to your own church? It means a lot to have the, and of course your family. Heads up girl, we can do anything we set our minds too and I admire how wonderful you're doing.
Take care, give Lopez a hug from me.
    Love, Gloria xoxo

  8. Lynda, love your sunrise. I never see the sunrise, just not a morning person. The earliest I get up is for my job, I get up at 7:15-7:30, start work at 9:30. On weekends, I get up around 9 to 10. Love your little table!

I, too, have huge furniture for just one person, huge round dining table with lazy susan in the middle and 4 high chairs, huge sofa with power chair on one end and chaise on the other (used to have a huge dog who laid on it his full length), and other big furniture in the other two bedrooms, but hey, I'm comfy! More people used to visit me and needed room, now it's just me, no boyfriend to come visit, waah....and my friend and son who used to come visit never do anymore, and he grew up and is busy at college. I used to babysit him!

    Have a great weekend!

    Marti
