I would LOVE to feel 30_---definitely NOT 82-(-almost 83---- in just a few days)--Lord love a Duck!-I AM OLD!---I might make it to 90--one day--I suppose it could be worse--Some people never get out of their 50's----
That RSV shot really hit me yesterday--Of course , it was given to me in my right arm, after 2 other shots had been injected into my left arm--on the same day-- Why on earth did I ever allow that?--But, I did feel fine--for 2 days-- then my poor body I guess tried to reject that 3rd shot--NEVER AGAIN DO I GET 3 SHOTS AT ONE TIME! I shudda known better! Maybe I really did look 30 that day (probably not tho!)-
I do believe that everything that happens in one's life happens for a reason--so--- maybe --(like who knows)-someone with RSV is going to cross my path--and--maybe I needed that shot-- --Well, one never knows eh?--
Anyway, I really am OK with the RSV NOW that I feel better--not so happy yesterday as I lay on the sofa--I guess one must be content with what one gets--Lopez enjoyed lying on my chest , all cuddled up under the blanket-
So, it is a new day--very dark---kinda cold, -----and here we all are--a part of this new day---maybe even getting into winter--which will not be a lot of fun--" Driving" will be a tad slower--might have to warm up the car before it moves off-- definitely will need to drag out some warmer coats--and oh no, the snow shovel must be brought out of the shed in the back--and then there is Lopez, the Chihuahua, who will need his parka--Lord love a Duck!--WINTER really is just round the corner--
Maybe we will have to get some books ready-- to read-- be ready to lay around on the sofa a bit longer--INSIDE--
In any event, we will be up to whatever we need to do to face a change in the weather-- I guess-- because --we had that RSV??????----Holy Moly!!!!--Did you all get THE three SHOTS?-----
Good Monday Morning!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better, Lynda. Three shots is a lot at one time. I am kind of surprised your Dr. did that and didn't have your come back in a week or so to spread the shots out a bit.
Not looking forward to it getting dark here earlier with the time change. I heard on the news this morning sunset will be at 5:36 pm tonight. Ugh!
Ah well, I better get used to it because it's going to be that way for a while.
Off to get a workout in and then head to the grocery store.
Have a good day!
Jackie
Jackie you are an early bird this AM also--Guess we have to face what we have to face--darkness=--snow----or in the South -- bad storms-- tough--We must be strong-- --hard at times however----but--We are alive--happy--- Have a great day!-Lynda
DeleteGot the flu and COVID shots, but not at once! Still need to get the shingles shot, but can’t seem to get myself to go in and get it done. My sister had shingles this year and it’s certainly no fun.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteBooks? Yes! I have 2 or 3 more Richard Bach books to read.
It's cold here, too. Just 5 degrees over freezing. The sky from my big window is a beautiful clear blue.
Sorry you had so much trouble with your shots. I have only had the flu shot this year. Last year I got all 3. They only shoot me in my left arm. I'm not supposed to get anything done on the arm by the breast that had cancer.
My new exercise bike got assembled yesterday. It's NOT a recumbent like I thought. The word on Amazon that caught my attention was 'foldable.' It does look easier to mount, though.
Dishes and maybe another load of laundry today. And I need to get this enormous box and all the packing material out to our garbage/recyclable area. I hope someone will see me and offer assistance.
You give assistance every day...you're an uplifter. I saved that meme about do the stuff that makes you happy.
Back later, Lynda. Have a happy day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good morning Lynda, quite frankly I was shocked when you mentioned that you had received three vaccines all on the same day, mostly because I would think the medical personnel would have cautioned you. I always space mine out so that if I have a reaction, I know which vaccine caused it. Well, it's water under the bridge now. You'll know better next year. I hope your winter weather is not severe because it will make walking Lopez and running errands difficult. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I do not get any of the recommended shots. I'm not out with people much during the winter and feel it's just not necessary for me. I always got a flu shot when I worked. I hope you are feeling better today. We have snow in the extended forecast - or possible snow. I hope not but I suppose we should spend this week getting the last of the pre-winter work done. Yes, I have plenty of books to read, that's about all I'm up for these days! I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, I like you learned my lesson a few years back when they said "oh you can get the flu vaccine and covid and such and such" Nope, nada will never ever do that again. I was down for almost a week. I now know only 1 shot at a time. I won't mix any vaccine because I always have such a bad reaction to them. I'm glad though that you are feeling better. It took me a while before I truly felt better. This year time to just get flu shot. Then next month covid if I need it and so on. I'm thinking if I need another RSV shot. I'm not sure if they are yearly or you just get them once. I'll have to check on that. Thanks for reminding me. Hope the rest of your day goes well.
ReplyDeleteOh my. I got the COVID shot and the flu shot @ the same time last year. Learned my lesson. Knocked me out for a day or two. Take good care! Lots of liquids helps. Good books to read, maybe a movie, and some chamomile tea.
ReplyDeleteFor sure, my Miss Lilly enjoyed being cuddled w/me as I rested.
I have gotten the flu shot already, and Jason, too. Have to get the COVID vaccination. Will probably get that next week. We got the RSV last year and don’t need it this year. BUT the debate is on about how long the immunity lasts. May need it next year.
Rest up, cuddle up w/Lopez and feel better.

Howdy, it's Marti. I had the flu shot awhile back. I already had COVID (the disease) not that long ago, a month maybe? And can't go and get the shot right away, they said. The latter part of this month I can. I've never had an RSV shot, not sure if I need or not.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! It was a nice day in Ohio. Sunshine and in the 50’s with snow and 30’s next week! So sorry you did not feel well yesterday but better today thank goodness. No, no shots for me! You know I am your medical chicken, ice cream loving friend! LOL! I know sweet Lopez enjoyed his snuggles. Hope your day was great! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI just got Flu and Covid 19 this fall, 'cause I had the RSV last year, after having had the actual disease RSV earlier! Not fun. Shot much better than the full blown thing! I'm glad that Lopez snuggled with you... it does help, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI only had to get Flu and Covid this year - one in each arm because I got my RSV last year. Glad that it is just a "one and done" shot! Too bad flu and covid aren't like that too! My arms were both very sore and it hurt to sleep on them for a couple of days! And I think the covid shot made my nose run...not a cold, just a drippy nose for about 2 days. But nice to have those vaccines and my physical out of the way this year. Thursday I have to take both of my cats to the vet for their yearly check-up! They both hate riding in the car and cry the whole time.....and then it is hard to get them out of their crates when I get them to the office which is only about 10 minutes away! I hope they get a good report too! Gotta take care of our fur babies as they are our company since we have lost our spouses!
ReplyDeleteI am not too sure at any age that 3 shots is a good idea so glad for you that Lopez was there to keep you company
