Good morning! How wonderful it was to read your bright cheery blog this morning! You made me feel happy that you were feeling so upbeat! I hope your day continues to be just like you feel this morning! It's a new day, let us rejoice and be glad! And yes, eating alone is the pits - I hate it! You would think after 6 years I would get over it - oh well - 50+ years of sitting and enjoying meals with your loved one doesn't erase the lonesome feelings and longing for those days again!
ReplyDeleteEating alone really is the pits Sandra--I agree!-When we vfeel lonely, we MUST JUST GRAB A JACKET AND GO OUT__ That helps--TAlk to anyone -- To-night I am driving out to have supper with Son#1 and his wife--They Are truly amazing--seem to understand -----I just took Lopez for a walk--trying go get him to do his business before we get out there-Lynda-
DeleteMorning!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too. And the leaves are falling. It took me a minute to figure out what evestroughs are, then I realized it was gutters. At least that's what we call them here. Hubby will have to rake leaves several times before they all come down. Sometimes, they are still falling in December.
Nice you got to have dinner with Son#1 and wife. Stir fry is good.
You will have to let us know what Theresa Caputo tells your daughter. I have seen her on TV but I never watched her show.
Have a good day! Stay warm!
Jackie
Yu call eves troughs --"gutters"???-----Yes I will let you know if Fred is tuned in to Theresa--probably not-- He didn't believe all that stuff--"BUT"----=-Yu never know --LOL--I will; keep you all posted-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteOur weather isn't too bad. Mostly sunny and 44F.
I don't mind eating alone. I always have Lucky by me to see and ask for a bite and the tv.
It is good to eat with other people, too. Eating with Son #1? That's a treat. Stir fries are wonderful. Next week Tuesday is Veteran's Day in the US.
There will be a free enormous brunch for us at my local favorite grocery/pharmacy/restaurant store, free haircuts at Great Clips...and I don't know what else. I will take 'Becca.
It's good that you got a more secure leash for Lopez and that your son is safely back home.
Better get back to trying to remove these kitty puke marks from my carpet. I'll check back later, of course. Love your comments about thinking positively and remembering how great we are...you, too, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
It's Kathy. We are having some lovely fall weather - 3 more days of this, then the cold comes in. I wanted to get my windows washed before the cold but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Today we take Daisy for her annual check up - that will cost a lot because she needs all her shots again. But she's so precious to me and my husband. Tomorrow I meet with the Pain Specialist and on Thursday I get the injection. I sure hope it helps! I like that you have a picture of Fred with you while you are eating. No, it's not the same but it's a good memory for you! Take care.
ReplyDeleteYu know Kathy--I loved that man so so much! Fred was 3 yrs older than me-- He knew everything!--He was my "rock"--He told Huron Lodge the best thing that ever happened to him was when he ment "Me"-- It made me cry when they told me--and yet life was so difficult at the end--but-- he loved me so much--and all the kids--and he left me behind--here-- Love your life Kathy-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteLove your positive, upbeat blog this morning. I do hope we both keep that attitude.
So nice son invites you often. You DO have friends there. You can make a call anytime. You dont have to be alone for meals or in your dayj. Do something you enjoy. Help others. Lopez will be fine at home for a few hours.
It's 71 and sunny in St.Louis. Thats crazy.
Hope Allison hears what she longs to hear. Let us know.
Marge
OH Marge--Yes-- -- eating alone is difficult--To-night son#1 invited me out there AGAIN_- His wife told me to not bring anything--I do not know what I'd do without them!---So--Life is good! and yes, it would make Allison's day to hear from her Dad--There was never a morning when she did not chat with him-- He sure loved his family--his kids--He was a man who never wanted c children--and yet I can still see him at the nrsing station undressing each baby and examining each one--
DeleteLynda, remind your daughter not to talk to anyone before that show, about her Dad! That’s how they get info, for them to use, to pretend he is around! And tell her NOT to offer money to others, there are alot of average looking people that work for her company, that get personal info, and use it, to make it seem like a relative us around! I can’t believe that woman is still around !!
ReplyDeleteMy dear, the side effects of the RSV vaccination are much better than getting RSV. It can be fatal. I choose . . . the vaccine.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, nice that DS #1 and his wife invited you for supper. So nice. I do remember when Jason traveled, I definitely was not interested in eating alone. Nice, though, that you have Fred’s photo on the table w/you. It helps just a little.
Still have leaves left to fall, but . . . . they’re hanging on.
We’re anticipating rain/snow mix this weekend. NOOOOoooo!
Well, I hope Allison has luck w/Theresa. I believe she is legit. She goes up to people sometimes because she gets vibes and does an amazing job working w/that person to reach to the other side for their loved one. Good luck!
HUGS and blessings
