To-day is Saturday November 15th- no snow falling--but it seems cold--even in the tiny house here--I need to keep pushing the thermostat on my weird little stove here--get that heat upstairs-Sushi-is upstairs on the bed--
Everyone needs a hug in the morning----Words of wisdom-
#1. You can!
#2.Place a high value on yourself and then prove that you are worth it!
#3.-Welcome change---(hard to do at times)-
It is still dark outside---hard to get up in the dark-'specially when it is so cold-- but, it pays off as the day progresses--I have to get the wash machine going--get that stove turned up here--Last night I decided to just "veg" here at home, on the sofa, in front of the TV--with CNN on--and Lopez curled up on my chest--It had been a busy day and I just needed to rest----Do you find that??
Winter clothing has had to be dragged out-- made to fit in these tiny closets--boots--mitts--and the summer wear --with no basement. I used to store so much in our basement. Those days are gone!
And last night the drive back from the lake was in the dark--and I did it----not much traffic which was good and the lights on the car were on "auto dimming " etc--
Life certainly has changed for me--and it all seems Ok-- It is amazing how one does adapt to what one has to, as one ages--
Well, I do feel that old without the man who I loved! ----OK--Get on with yer day--
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
I got up today in the dark, too. Still seems strange.
I do my best not to worry cuz "Worrying is using your imagination to create something you do not want." From the Law of Attraction.
It's 50F here and cloudy.
I will buy Christmas gifts for my family close by...my daughter, SIL and grandson, but I don't have the wherewithal to do the other 16 that would need to be shipped. Maybe next year.
I know my mom, dad and grandma will be around as I celebrate the holidays, even though they are no longer 'in the physical.'
'Becca is still in the hospital. They don't give any info when we call to check on her. I will go feed and love on her kitty later.
I am placing a grocery order to pick up, too.
Maybe another load of laundry.
I'll be back to check later, Lynda. Have a great day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Well Maggie--What would I ever do without Lopez and Sushi??--and you guys?/---And yes, I do feel Freds presence in some ways around me--Do you think he is around me??----Now what happened to "Becca?--(I can't remember)-- I hope she will be O-- Cold outside--I must get out there tho--Hugs to yu--Have a great day!-Lynda

ReplyDeleteQuote for the day
What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.

It's Kathy. We still have sunshine but it's cooler out today. Yes, most evenings these days I just chill - watch some TV or read awhile. My day pretty much ends after dinner. I'm now doing some physical therapy exercises a couple times a day - I sure hope it helps! We have to start thinking about the winter gear too - it won't be long now. I'm hoping to get out some of my Christmas decorations but they are packed downstairs way in the back behind a whole lot of other things. My husband will have to get them out for me. Today is window washing day - I have 15 to do and will try and get at least 4 done each day until I'm done. Good for you for driving home from Son #1's after dark! We are women and we can do it!!! Right!
ReplyDeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI got to sleep in this morning and it was so needed. I think I am still trying to adjust to the time change.
Hubby had his class reunion last night and it was nice. He got to catch up with some classmates and I met a few nice ladies that are wives of his classmates.
It's warming up here a little but it's going to be an overcast day without a lot of sun.
I am going to make a few loaves of Pina Colada Zucchini bread today to freeze for later.
Enjoyed the pictures you posted. Sweet memories I'm sure.
Have a great day and stay warm!
Jackie
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeletePlease be extra careful driving in the dark up there.....deer etc.
Thanks for all the positive and humorous inserts. You always make my day.
Allison is a beautiful, tiny young lady. Great pics.
Fred is with you and will be with you Xmas and every day.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
Good morning Lynda, Allison was definitely a beautiful bride. I didn't comment yesterday, but wanted to say what a cute dining table you found. Wonderful news that Matt will be staying with you for a few days.
ReplyDeleteYou are a brave woman to drive in the dark at the age of 82.
It's pouring rain today, just as it did yesterday and will again tomorrow and Monday. For many residents who live in the areas of wildfires, now they have to worry about mudslides, and in some cases their homes sliding down the hills because so much rain at once makes the ground over saturated.
Enjoy the weekend.
Maureen from California
Happy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteAfter getting a new computer and changing from Google a different search engine I could not get for a while.
Sounds like your move went well.
