YOU really can handle anything!

Today is Thursday, November the 6th, 2025--just getting light outside here--and it is 2 degrees Celsius in Elliot Lake--no snow here yet--but, it's coming one day soon--I feel it in my bones--

                                                    Good morning to you all--

Last night I was out for dinner --to Son#1's  restaurant--with a friend of Fred' s and mine--who is single--like myself right now--It certainly makes it easier to eat a meal when one shares it with someone-

I just put the laundry in the machine--laid out my pills--(seems like there are 50 thousand pills-all with my name on them!-)-Do you take a lot of pills each morning?--AND--even a few each evening--

--

Look at the picture above?--Do you see a light dusting of snow  on the deck?- It must've fallen overnight--

                                                                    SNOW___Lordy Be!!

-
and I have a question for you all---How many of you take a nap in the afternoon?--I do--  EVERYDAY--well, nearly everyday---I try to keep it around half an hour--but--it is sometimes longer--not ever shorter-----LOLOL---They really are like  mini "sleep vacations" from life , aren't they??------as long as you do not take them while operating heavy machinery !

Well, I must get on my parka--- and walk Lopez--put his new wee parka on him also--

It looks quite cool out there----There is a picture of his new million dollar Parka--

Remember To BE STRONG----  Be Positive ---  Be Happy---  a lot of "BE " words to remember----
__  YOU are amazing! YOU really can handle anything!

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
I hear ya on the cold weather. It is 46 degrees as I am typing, but it was 34 degrees when I got up at 6am. Ready or not, the cold is coming.
Lopez looks so cute in his parka. That should definitely keep him warm.
I hope you got it figured out for the high beams on your car. My car has a automatic option on the turn signal column. I do see plenty of people driving at night without lights on at all. Crazy! And dangerous! And their cars are new enough they should be able to set them to come on automatically.
Stay warm and enjoy your day!

    1. Morning Jackie--Yes, yesterday, I did take my car to the Dealer and he did set the "light dipping switch" to Automatic--but, I never went out to Son#1's last night--so never had a chance to drive anywhere in the dark--yet--I hope the auto thing works--As always, it is good to hear from yu---Lynda

  2. Good morning, sis.
Snow! Wow, we haven't had any yet, but you're right...it is coming. Hopefully we won't get mountains of it like we have in years past.
The parka looks cozy. Lopez is a good boy for even allowing you to put it on him.
It's 40F here with a hazy sun. I haven't checked the full forcast.
I'm going to my bank today to re-finance my car. They will adjust the interest rate lower and my payment amount will go

    !
Time to check the laundry room, Lynda. It seems like all four machines are working now.
Yes, I take an almost daily nap! It's more like an hour or so...with Lucky curled up next to me.
    Back later, GF...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda - I love my afternoon nap! I’m recently retired and it is such a luxury to be able to take a nap each day. It’s the little things… an afternoon nap, dinner with a friend, a good book. So glad you were able to share a meal with a friend last night. These small things offer such comfort. Thanks for sharing your pictures and updating us on your daily happenings. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Stay warm!

  4. It's Kathy. It's about the same temperature here this morning, a cloudy day with possible rain/snow coming this evening. And it will get quite cold over the weekend. I saw the Pain Management doctor yesterday and was VERY impressed. I feel like for the first time someone understands what I am living with and she believes she can help me be pain free within the next 6 months. Of course, a lot of that depends on me and if I follow her direction. I had to get Walking Sticks so I can practice walking without dropping my right hip. I need to get on the stationary bike for a few minutes each day. And today I will get the injection which should start relieving my current pain within a few days. I do not take naps on a regular basis - I try some days but that's when my brain starts to work overtime. But I do sit quietly and read something fun every day. I'm glad you had company for dinner last night! Have a wonderful day.
