Don't be a POOPYHEAD!!

It is Monday, January 26th--very cold!---  We did not get more snow, but Toronto  got 46cm of snow--the most snow ever to fall in Toronto--

To-day Sushi has to be at the vet here in Elliot Lake for 11-07am----She is in her crate right now --yodelling--loudly!--It was a challenge to bring her down the stairs without her scratching me!----I never took her to the vet when we were out in Lakefield--I took Lopez to the tune of $600-----  I wonder what the vet here will charge for Sushi--

Son#2 made it home from England--last night--I guess it was quite a drive from the airport in Toronto, to his home near Peterborough.--snowy!!!

Son #2 helped me tune in CP24 ---  I like that TV channel--but could not find it here--Now I have it--Boy Oh boy--When one moves there is so much to do! Below--Hannah running thru the leaves--

and below--  Cole pulling Miss Hannah--

Willow--  Allison and Hannah
So--How are yu??--  Did it snow in your area??
So--I must be strong--I must be organized--Taking Sushi to the vet will not be easy--a nervous over weight  very heavy cat!
I shall return--will add to this blog--
Meanwhile remember to stay strong--
And I shall see you later--

  2. Good Monday Morning Lynda,
Yes, it's always an adventure taking the cats to the vet. Is she getting vaccines? I have 3 cats and one of them weighs about 22 lbs, one weighs about 15 lbs, and the newest weighs about 8 lbs. They are all rescues.
We got about a foot of snow here and it's bitter cold. All schools in the area are closed and they are recommending not to drive anywhere if you don't have to.
I usually grocery shop on Mondays but I picked up most of what I needed last Friday before the storm hit and tomorrow I have an appointment so I will pick up anything extra I need.
Be careful out there and hopefully Sushi won't be to upset for too long.

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. It's Kathy. Good luck with Sushi today. I remember it being very difficult to take any one of my cats to the vet - they sure didn't like the car rides. We may have to take Daisy - she has one ear that's pretty red. We've been putting ear fluid in it regularly - which she absolutely hates even though it eases the itching - I hope it looks better this morning. More protests in Minneapolis - I can't stand what these people are doing to my city! Makes my whole body shake. So I'll probably read some more today, takes my mind out of here. And yes, it's very cold here too but by late afternoon we should start warming up! Have a good day.

  4. Good luck at the vets, and I hope Miss Sushi gets a clean bill of health.

We received about 12 inches, they say. Goodwill and all of its stores and the Administrative building is closed. I get a day off work - sweet!

Here at the condos they have begun snow blowing our walkways and patios, those that don't have the enclosed patio. Our quad is still unplowed, but they did plow yesterday, so I could get out of the garage if I had to. I saw the man going around doing the quads - most units are a quad with 4 garages facing each other. Some have two. Our loop is plowed. We are moving along. It's cold, but cold doesn't bother me any. It's about 12.

  5. Hi Lynda! I hope all goes well with Sushi at the vet. The vet bills are terrible everywhere it seems. It is 14 degrees in Ohio and about 14 inches of snow. I am glad Matt made it home safely. Let us know how it went for Sushi. Take care! Hugs!

  7. Good afternoon, sis.

I read this, was about to enter a comment and I had a computer crash. Well, the internet, anyway. I need to 'go through hoops' to get into it nowadays...their security features, I guess. So I just did what Lucky wanted and took a nap with him. I am back now.

I sure do know about getting a large and unwilling cat in its carrier for a trip to the vet!!! It's the only time Lucky leaves the apartment. He's a very good and docile boy when we get there...it's just getting him into that carrier! I hope it went well for you.

Photos of family (especially Hannah) are always wonderful.

I will look up CP24. We do get that Canadian channel (CBC?) that I watch Heartland on. You would love that show. I guess this is the last season. I believe it's season 20 or 21. I don't want it to be over. It's one of my 2 favorite shows. The other is Grey's Anatomy.

I have a kitchen to clean up and things to take down to the Community room to put on our 'give away' table so I will sign off now and come back later to check for comments. I hope to see how Susi did. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  8. Hi Lynda
Poor Matt. Glad he made it home safely. Huge snow in Toronto.
St.Louis is still digging out from Saturday snow . and its horribly cold here. The high this afternoon was barely 10.
Taking a cat to the vet is not an easy job. Glad Sushi didn't need much. I suppose her food portions are getting cut back.
Glad your boys help you now.
    Be safe out there.
I haven't been out of the house since Friday afternoon due to snow and extreme low temps.
    Stay warm and safe.
    Marge in St.Louis
