Where has the time gone?

Good morning --It is Tuesday, January the  27th--seems kinda cold in here--was up earlier to turn up the heat--The floors seem so cold when you first get up--

So, Sushi had her visit to the vet--had a few needles--She felt so heavy when I carried her downstairs here, but the vet said she had actually lost a bit of weight--

It feels very cold--minus 14 C. outside-right now--will go up to minus 8--or 9-no snow falling yet---I think they predict a few more flurries--

This AM I am going to meet a friend for breakfast--It helps to pass the day when I can meet a friend--

I shall return---  just read all your lovely comments from yesterday--Lynda_Well, Here I am AGAIN--  Going out to start THE CAR  -so it can warm up before I go for breakfast--but-- a few pictures here--memories

-Now--below is just the sweetest picture ever--  Ava and Emma, Son #3's girls--both in University now-on our dock--

and below--  "Baby Lopez"

above-- Fred and I with many dogs--Zeus in front!
So--I hope that you are "up and at-er"
so I hope that you are feeling strong--that you are ready to face this day--Be wise!---  Be strong!
    #1.-Defy time!
#2.-You can!
                #3.-Remember to live!
So I must start the car--  allow it to warm up--I hope that you can face your day with happiness----strength---  positive thoughts--We only  come by this day once-- so lets make it count!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! We are in an extreme cold warning in Ohio. Feels -16 and windy! I hope you will enjoy your breakfast. I know you will. I have a granddaughter named Ava. She is 7. Gracie is 10 and Cooper just turned 13. They do grow up too fast! I don’t like it. LOL! I love seeing all your pics every day. I’ve been your friend since Spark. I sure hope you make it to Allison’s this year. We have to have the ice cream party! Stay warm! Hugs!

  2. Good morning, sis.

Happy you're having breakfast with a friend (Dave?). That's always good. Plus, to make a restaurant style breakfast at home is a chore and a mess.

It's good that Sushi is healthy. Lucky lost 1/2 # when he went to the vet last, too.

Love the photos! You have such adorable grandkids...I do, too. And you and Fred sure had lots of doggies to love on.

It's -2F here but mostly clear. There's a 33% chance of snow on Sunday.

'Becca is having surgery in her back today to remove a large kidney stone.

I plan to finally start a book that my grandson gave me for Christmas. It's title is, "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed. Evidently this lady was abused and wanted 'out.' She hiked by herself up The Pacific Coast trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State.
It's an adventure story. It was required reading for him in high school.

I will get to my day. Hope your car warms up faster than mine does. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Morning Lynda,
It's a balmy 13 degrees here (lol) in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metro area. It's supposed to be in the teens till next week. At least the sun is out, for now.
How nice you going out to breakfast. It's great you are getting out and being with friends. Alone time is good, but we all need to connect with others as well.
    Enjoyed the pictures as always.

    Have fun and stay warm!
    Hugs,
    Jackie

  4. Hi Lynda, you are a get out of the house gal. Good for you. Breakfast out is my favorite meal out. Enjoy
So Sushi isn't on a diet lol. Glad she's healthy.
Cold or crazy cold is still the topic in St.Louis. our 9 inches of snow wont be melting anytime soon. More artic air and horrible winds headed our way for the weekend. The power company loves it...no one else.
Thanks for the inserts. The BIG Germans are gorgeous. My the kids grow up quickly.
Be warm and safe. Im heading out to the gym. First time out since Friday. Hopefully, roads are good.
    Warm hugs from St.Louis

  5. It's Kathy. I love starting my day with your encouraging words. Today we go to Court with Lauriellen who is fighting with everything she has to keep her boys safe - and that's safe from the narcissist who is their father. Yesterday his lawyer sent last minute demands - things that we had to find documents for to counter. I am sure it will not be a good time but Tom and I are both going to provide her support. I just hope the judge can see how manipulative Bryan and his lawyer are and how much they don't care what's best for those boys. Little Jake cries every time he has to go to his dads - I've heard him when I've been on the phone with Lauriellen. I love your photos - our grandchildren grow up way too fast! That's a really nice picture of you, himself and the dogs. Thanks for brightening up my day!

  6. I got thru the day okay. The "witch" wasn't there, and I wore my snowboots in to work, as I knew it wouldn't be shoveled too well. Still no heat in our area. Luckily I like it cold! Not allowed heaters either.
