WE MUST BE STRONG!

FINALLY__I AM HERE!--To-day is Monday, January the 19th--Heaven sakes! --more snow fell overnight--I have been out all morning shovelling--and it is now almost 11am--The 2 young men with their snowblower just left--Man oh man! They clean up the snow so fast!

The map above was sent this AM by son#2 for all of you--He wanted to show you all how far south he is--The blue round dot shows where he is--and he said to tell you that he is coming home to-night-.He is pretty far from Toronto isn't he? And the picture below is his breakfast--

I just might drive out to Dunlop to take the Garbage out__They pick it up to-morrow here but my bins are so full--

I must tell you that Dave and I had a wonderful time at the buffet last night-but --when I came out the car was covered in snow--so I had to sweep it off--I miss my "Himself" who used to do all that--

So--I will get off of here-- so late posting and I am so sorry--Before I go, I must send you some wise words-- Words I wish I had written--

#1.Those who know do not speak-those who speak do not know-

#2. When someone lets you down , don't give up on him.

#3. Exercise instead of worry

Below--The gang on the Jetty-in Jamaica at Son#3's  and daughter #1--wedding-both their wedding--(Son#2 is holding Hannah on his lap)

I am off of here-- I hope yu are NOT crying--I hope that you are                         feeling strong--because --WE MUST BE STRONG!

  1. Good Afternoon Lynda,
Glad you had a good time at the buffet with Dave. It's nice you have someone to meet up with for meals.
It's also good you have help with your snow removal. It sounds like those boys are getting it done.
Love the pics and good to hear Matt will be home tonight.
It's Monday, so make it a good one!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. Good morning, sis! Damned right we need to be strong...to survive our winter weather! We had a blizzard yesterday and into this morning. Kinda a blizzard. Not too much snow but the wind was (and is) FEROCIOUS!
It is -7F here NOT COUNTING the "wind chill."

I do not plan to go out, needless to say.

I am glad you have help with your snow now. And the young men get a bit of spending cash for helping you...and exercise to keep their young bodies strong. A win for all of you!

You had 2 kids get married on the same day? Or close...how exciting for your family! The photo is great.

I'm eating a sandwich for lunch (it's 12:30 here) then I'm gonna cozy up with Lucky for a nap...my take on hibernation. Back later, Lynda. Take it easy today...music, book, love on your furbies, Lopez and Sushi and BE HAPPY! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

I need to get my garbage and recyclables out, too....but I plan to tie the bags of stuff up and set them outside my apartment door. Someone else may grab them for me and take them down.

  3. Good morning, Lynda! It is snowy and cold in Ohio! 100 car pile up in Michigan. Glad the snow men come to your rescue. I am happy you have Dave to enjoy some meals with. Tell Matt that we appreciate him sharing pics with us. Tell him I am jealous he can get avocado on his McDonald’s breakfast. Lol You stay warm and enjoy this cold but wonderful day! Hugs!

  4. No snow, just very cold here - so I have just been staying home, but today I went out because I volunteer at the assisted living facility here in town on Mondays! Brrrr! I also had a dentist appointment for regular 6 month cleaning and then I stopped at the grocery store because I have very little food in the house....so I stocked up on some things that I can fix easily! (I don't like to cook just for myself). I kept my gloves on in the house while I put away my groceries because my hands were still so cold from being out and about! I wish you had a garage so you wouldn't have to go out and clean the snow off of your car! Great that your son is coming back home!

  5. Wow, doesn't that sound heavenly right now, Jamaica???!!!

I just got back from the dentist and set my trash can out front for tomorrow. Boy, is it a cold one today, 14 with a horrid, horrid wind! And light dusting of snow on the ground.

  6. It's Kathy. Yes, your son is very far away from Toronto. Good thing he can fly home! Love the photo of everyone in Jamaica. They all look so happy! Sorry about the snow. We had snow on our car when we came out of church yesterday and I remember thinking how lucky I was that Tom was willing to brush it all off. The older I get the less I want to be outside in this cold and snowy weather. I hope your day is a good one!

  8. Hi Lynda
Glad the snow removal guys showed up. My goodness you are getting a lot of snow up there.
I bet Matt will miss that warm climate.
    Glad he's coming back though.
I really like the words of wisdom. Thanks for sharing.
Jamaica sounds real good right now. It's so cold and horrible winds in St.Louis.
Be careful driving around. The roads sound .dangerous
    Stay warm. Be safe
    Hugs

  9. Hi Lynda: Why are you shoveling so much when the guys with the snowblower are there. Matt sure is not going to like coming home to this weather. It is so cold! Glad you had someone to have dinner with. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
