A crazy busy life---

I am back--  was up all night with Himself coughing up mucous--I thought he had a fever but  according to the thermometer he does NOT have a fever--That is good!--  just coughing continuously----  I have called his Dr. in Elliot Lake, who is going to call the Pharmacy here---  I think he does have a low grade fever--So--It has been quite a night!--  That is why I never got to blog yesterday-

AND--I am changing the sheets on our bed--Lordy Be! What a job---And yes, I must be burning  3,000 calories , putting that fitted sheet on our bedc---

Son#2 has gone to watch 2 of our Grand children at a swim meet at a pool in Toronto--They drove down, with their coach , to participate-- Too bad Himself cannot watch them--could never  manage the steps to go into the pool-

  3. OMG! I totally identify w/that meme about changing fitted sheets. I remember the days of straight sheets for the mattresses and the covers. Easier, IMHO!

OH NO/1 So sorry to hear about Himself’s cough. Just . . . going . . . around, that’s for sure. DH has one, but not a fever. So, working on using the humidifier, vaporizing (have an old warm steam humidifier) and lots of warm liquids. Including chicken soup!

Good luck to your swimming grandchildren.

HOPE Himself feels better. Take care of you, too.

    Hugs

  4. Marti here. Poor himself. I was the same. Coughing all night, with no cough drops, and wrenched my neck somehow, it's really painful. I stayed home again today from work. I went and bought some of those heated pads you stick on your neck. Hope he feels better soon. Don't you have any Urgent Cares like we do here in the States? We can just pop into those places when it's the weekend or the doctor is closed. They're not 24/7, though. I've used them pretty frequently.

  6. It's Kathy. I'm so sorry to hear himself isn't feeling well. My friend, who is a physician's assistant, calls it The Crud. So many people have had it this winter. I'm also so sorry that you had to be up most of the night. He is very lucky to have you in his life! I hope himself is feeling better today and that you can get some rest! We are getting rain later today which will turn into snow. The temperature has been dropping all day. Even Daisy is not interested in going outside! Take care!

  7. Lynda, I do not understand how in Canada, which is such a forward looking Country, you and Fred do not have a Doctor where you live. How is that even possible? What happens if one of you become seriously I'll? Do you call an ambulance to come and take you to a hospital? I hope the medicine that your former doctor prescribed will take care of whatever it is that Fred has. Bless the two of you.

  8. Lynda, Himself would not go into the pool. Are there steps leading to the bleachers or benches for the audience to watch?
If you two were up a lot during the night, you are probably both exhausted today. Hopefully tonight's sleep will be better.
You know how my morning and early afternoon went. The worst was the accident that tied up the highway for soooo long...an hour, I bet. Wished I would have timed it.
The doctors were nice. I will be scheduled to go in for an infusion of medicine to help my bones, labs, too. Then another bone scan next year to see if the drugs are helping. I have bone in my spine...mid back ...that is very brittle. I take 1 Nature Made cal/mag/zinc a day. I need to take 2 morning and 2 night.
Have you heard yet how the grandkids are doing at the swim meet? Hopefully, even if they don't place, at least they are enjoying themselves.
All for now. Will check back later, hoping for more good news about Himself. {{{UGS}}} Love, Maggie
