I'll Just Be Happy Today!

pills taken-- Sushi fed---  Lopez downstairs here-- and I can explain why no blog yesterday--I had DENTAL PROBLEMS--You see, I wear a Partial Plate-- attached to a tooth--which was having problems-- The poor tooth I think, decided to begin to hurt--Yu see, this poor tooth,  is covered with a fake tooth--and I think, and my dentist believs, that there might be a piece of food stuck under this fake tooth-- so--it began to hurt----and the gums around it began to be sore----I had to call my Dentist, who just might be "semi -retired"---  but---  (the big "but"---  )--he came in--- and helped me out-------so the "tooth "---took presidence  over the blog--  --I am so sorry--

Anyway, things seem better this AM with the tooth---  but--to-day I have a "surgical consult" about ny head---  You see, there is a growth on one side , above my left ear--very small--but--it is a weird  looking thing--so, at noon to-day I have a Surgical consult--which means, no more hair colour--in fact--  it might mean, the Dr taking that tiny spot off my head--  Lordy Be! Life is tough eh?--

I must get wee Lopez out --AND IT IS COLD OUT THERE! ----Be STRONG---  We really do not have any other way to be , do we??--Strange stuff happens when we are so old doesn't it??--But----  We just have to "hang in" here--"Go with the flow"----accept our fate---  Maybe pray a lot-----  and BE STRONG--

It will be OK----because we will make it OK--

                                                                a blast from the past---below--

It will be a short blog this AM---but-a short blog is much better than no blog--so--get up---  get going---and I shall check in with y'all later--It's a brand new day--Make  it count--  BE HAPPY!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! So sorry you had a tooth issue! I go Monday for a cleaning. Last year I had lots of work done and braces for a second time in my life. All done and just sleep in retainers forever. I sure hope your surgical will be very minor. I don’t do good with anything medical. Thank goodness you are a nurse! I hope you have a blessed day. Sending big hugs from Ohio! And ice cream, too!

  2. Good Morning Lynda,
Sorry about the tooth issue. I know how you feel. I had a tooth bothering me with food getting stuck and now I have to go in next Tuesday to have a crown replaced. Not cheap.
Hoping all goes well today with your Dr. and it's nothing serious. Keep us updated. We are here for you!
    Stay strong and push on!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. Good morning, sis.
Oh, my! Dental problems are the worst...and a growth on your punkinhead? I had a precancerous one removed from my left cheek.
It seems to me that our tops and bottoms (head and feet) are the most important to be comfortable for us.
    When is your surgical consult?
I am about to go clean out my car. I want to get it detailed. In 2 days I drive up to my daughters's house. She is treating me to a dinner theater to see White Christmas on stage!
The weather is bright and beautiful...but COLD. It's not even up to freezing yet and most of the leaves have fallen.
I will be back later, too, Lynda. I hope you have a much better day today!! Pet lovin, music, books...even just relaxing with the tv.
    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. Good morning Lynda, while I definitely missed you yesterday, a dental problem takes precedence over writing a post any day of the week. A dental problem not taken care of in a timely fashion, can lead to more serious health problems, and you don't want that. I hope your consult with the Doctor about the small growth above your ear is nothing serious. Wishing you a wonderful day.

  5. As much as a pain in the a** it is to take care of these health things that keep popping up, you get extra points for not ignoring them and hoping they resolve on their own. But two issues at one time is no fun! Good luck with the consult. / Leslie

  6. It's Kathy. So sorry you had such difficulty yesterday but yes, anything related to our health is more important than the blog. I assumed you were having a challenging day. And yes, Life is certainly hard and it gets harder every day it seems. But as my dad used to say "It's better than the alternative, Kath!" I am kind of getting used to my pain but I finally got a better night's sleep last night. Not good by any stretch but but at least I feel better this morning! Good luck with the surgical consult today!

  7. I sure did miss your blog, and worried about you. Glad your tooth is better, sorry about your growth. I had 4 pre cancerous scaly areas on my face zapped with that liquid nitrogen, and I sure do look like a leper at the moment, LOL. They're starting to scab over now.

I meant to tell you, when you shared your photo of your kitchen, I happen to have one of those same Ninja Foodi grills. I often cook chicken tenders on the grill with it. It's so easy to clean after, too, and able to pop it all in the dishwasher!

Have a good day! Hope they find out what to do with the growth!

  8. Glad your dentist was willing and able to come in to help you out. It makes such a difference to have those professionals who know you long-term!

Extra pats for Lopez and Sushi, and deep breaths for you!

  9. Glad that you got to the dentist. Admit, I was concerned when you didn’t appear! BUT most important to get that tooth taken care of.

Oh my. Hope all goes well w/your surgical appt. and that it is an easy fix. *SIGH* As you say, always something.

    Glad you’re upright! Wahoo.

  10. Hi Lynda,
Glad to know you are okay. Glad dentist could see you.
Hoping your spot appt. goes well. Perhaps it can be "gassed" off and wont require surgical removal.
    It's always something.
    Enjoy today.
Very chilly here.... had to turn furnace on yesterday.
    Hugs and blessings
