ON WITH TO_DAY!--and-HERE WE GO!

Good day ---  supposed to rain in a bit--  have NOT been out yet--with Lopez--
This was my dad's Birthday--"Oct 4th--Ivan Wallace"---

Son#2 , the Pilot is in Britain--sent a couple of pictures of his meal yesterday---  and it does look good!

-and, he also sent a picture of a very interesting sign--
I think we need more of the above sign here--just to remind us of our duty when we walk that dog1
I do carry the "poop" bags  with me , every walk I take with Lopez----

It looks like rain--in fact if I don't hurry here, it will be raining--kinda dreary looking out there--
Last night I drove out to visit  Son#1----ate supper before I went--which I thought might make things easier for him- The view from his deck was simply gorgeous--The leaves are spectacular!

So, I signed up for the course, on "trying to get over losing a loved one"----It goes into December--very long--I believe it will help me accept the loss of my husband--  I was interviewed with the Lady running the course, and accepted into it- (You have to be interviewed)----  I liked the Lady-- felt she  was knowledgable ----and--  it certainly cannot hurt things--probably will help--It doesn't begin for awhile!

So, I must get little Lopez out--  Probably son#2 will return to-night--
How is your day going?--  Are you "sorta" feeling strong?---  (You know, I never really know how each of my days will go, but, I know that I am going to try my best , to stand up to whatever hits me---- Tough little Lopez of course does help me--For such a small pooch, he is strong--tough--Now, if he can face the world, each day, I certainly can!--Right?--And now I must take him out--

ON WITH THE DAY___and--HERE WE GO!
HUGS-----and I'll get back here later!

  1. Good morning, sis.
It's already 69F here...mostly clear and sunny. It is due to get much warmer. Seems summer has returned, but the trees don't look like it.
Our pets are an emotional support system for us. And us for them, unless we do something they do not like.
That fish dinner looks amazing...and the lake with the trees!!
I am glad that course will be starting for you soon. It will help, and you may make new friends.
What I do to ensure a good day (and it works!) is when I first open my eyes, think good thoughts...how comfy I am, what I have to look forward to, how precious my little meowie alarm clock is leaning over me...
I do have to go out, though, for gas and lidocaine patches. It seems I have cracked a rib. It will heal, but may take awhile.
I wonder if son #1 was surprised that you ate before you visited him?
Be back later, Lynda! Enjoy your day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Good morning, Lynda! It is beautiful in Ohio but the trees are still green. Leaves are falling but not turning. Your son’s view from the deck is just marvelous! The pilot food looks delicious! That sign could be used everywhere. I always take pick up bags when I take Kloi (Chloe) and Tommy out. I hope you have a great day! I slept in. Skipping the market as it closes down and 11 and I am still drinking coffee! LOL! Hugs!

  3. Good Morning Lynda,
It's going to be gorgeous day here in the Cincy Metro area. High of 85 with low humidity and lots of sun.
Oh that's good news that you were "accepted" into the grieving course. I still think it's kind of odd that you have to be interviewed before they let you take it. Oh well, I guess they have their reasons. I have only heard about grieving support groups, where you go to meetings and you don't have to be interviewed beforehand.
Yes, people should pick up after their dogs when they go. Not everyone does that, unfortunately.
Wishing a wonderful day. Maybe the rain there will bring a rainbow.

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  5. It's Kathy. I guess I missed yesterday. My mind hasn't been working so well, thinking too much of the pain I'm experiencing. Getting more frustrating with being unable to do the things I want to do! But I am reading a lot, and getting some knitting done. Yes, the food pictures look like it's very delicious. I'm glad you are going to take that class. Now that I think about it, I feel like I'm grieving a bit - not for the loss of someone but the loss of my ability to do things. So today will be my quiet day and just maybe I'll take a little nap. It's still in the 80's here so no going outside even if I wanted to! Have a good day.

  6. Good morning Lynda, I'm happy to hear that your bereavement group is finally going to start. I think you will find that you have lots of company in grieving the loss of a spouse and all that goes with it. Lynda, I sincerely hope that someone's insensitive comment a couple of weeks ago, about going to your son's home for dinner, doesn't dissuade you from enjoying dinner with your son and his family. Maybe they enjoy your company as much as you enjoy theirs. Have an enjoyable weekend.

  8. Happy birthday to your Dad!

For sure, son #2’s supper looks delicious!

Hmmmmm . . . they’re serious about pet owners cleaning up after the pets! Good.
I have poo poo bags I use, too.

We are supposed to have one more nice day tomorrow then rain on Monday.

Such a lovely view from your son’s deck! Spectacular this time of the year w/the colors.

Glad you were accepted into the bereavement group. I think you will be happy you did that.

Sounds like little Lopez is having a good day. Love the photo. He looks content.

Continuing w/my PT/OT exercises for my hip, did house walking and walked outside. AND up and down a flight of stairs twice. Making progress.

    HUGS and blessings

  9. Glad you signed up for that class, it will be helpful. Grieving goes up and down, I guess we learn to live with it. Today would have been our 56 Th. Anniversary l. Had some tears, but talked over memories with one son, and that helps. Lucky to have good memories, and you have years and years of good memories!

  10. Hey Lynda, that fish and chips looks to die for! Yum!

It is very unseasonably warm here too in Central Ohio, 84 degrees today. Now, most people would say they like that, but not me. I don't enjoy heat, because I am heat intolerant, and so I am waiting for cooler weather!
