Just dropping in to let you know I am still here and trying to catch up on reading your blogs - I have missed them for over a month as I have been up to my "ears" in trying to get everything moved in and put away in my house. Things are slowly coming together! So happy to be back in my home! Finally have cellular shades and my #2 son came and hung up curtain rods for me! I do know what you mean about those weird days! Today a handyman here tearing off my deck, lumber being delivered later today, couch deliver today and Pest control coming to spray....plus I was able to squeeze in my yoga class this morning! Good to hear that your boys are helping you get things done and bringing soup! Love that!
ReplyDeleteSandra--SO so good to hear from yu-- --It is busy isn't it--?-- I still do not have a lot of pictures hung--or mirrors--I know it will eventually happen--<OL--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! I don’t like hectic days. I need coffee and sloooow mornings! That sounds crazy about the post office. I know Jacob will understand. Oh, good to hear your door got fixed and you have soup. How nice! I hope your day gets better. Finally, there is sun in Ohio! Yay! Big hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteIt sure has been one crazy morning--but--IT IS improving--LOL---
DeleteFrom what I've read Canada Post has been on strike for some time and has gone to a "rolling" strike so that there is at least some mail to some places on some days...
ReplyDeleteStrange that I know about it here in the US, and that you weren't aware of it there in Canada. I guess we do so much on-line these days that we don't pay that much attention to the mail.
It's Kathy. My yesterday was kind of like that. First the doctor's appointment which actually went well. I am scheduled to have an injection to help the herniated disk move itself back into place. Thankfully, no surgery for now and I really hope this works. Then my son came over for dinner - and stayed! Usually he eats and then goes home. It was nice to see him but I was so tired. Then my daughter called to check on me, and to tell me about the job opportunities that have opened up for her. It was 8:30 pm before I was able to relax for the night. But I didn't sleep very well so I think a nap is in store for me as well! Hope the day settles down for you!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, so happy to hear that your son invited you for dinner and the next day brought you some soup. I'm glad that he was able to fix the storm door and that you didn't have to call your handyman. You can call Jacob and explain what happened. He'll understand. I hope your day sorts itself out.

Lynda, are you going to hang every one of your clocks? I remember you had a huge collection!
ReplyDeleteA busy day is GOOD! Keeps you outta trouble, and outta the dumps, eh? :)

p.s. I just got my walking pad that I ordered off of a Facebook ad for a pretty cheap penny, I mean, compared to a full size treadmill. We shall see how long it lasts and if it breaks, LOL. Not a name brand or anything. I had forgotten I had ordered it, actually, and there it was, sitting on my front patio. I've got it in the spare bedroom and plugged in. It's all ready to go, except a little tray that is supposed to screw on to the top to hold the remote (but the screws are too tight to get off with a regular screwdriver, I'll have to bust out my cordless screwdriver and see if I can budge them). Did you still keep your treadmill? If so, where is it in your tiny rental? In your spare bedroom? Anyway, my back is sore right now, lotta that going on lately, but I'll for sure hop on there later on, after dinner, I'll have to put my shoes back on.
Good afternoon, sis.
ReplyDeleteI got back on your blog late last night. I'm glad I'm earlier today.
Yes, I believe we have all had days like that. I have days where there's so much to do, so much to think about, so much to plan that I rarely get it all done. The next day, more seems to be added.
Today is a bit calmer. We shall see about tomorrow. I didn't get laundry done yet , that I know.
I'm happy your have sons there to help. I have friends who sometimes do, too. I hope you'll get your nap, too.
I have something fun coming up, though. My daughter invited me to go with her to a large theater in Minneapolis to see "White Christmas!" I watched the movie years ago. LOVE Danny Kaye. He reminded me of my father.
I'll check back again this evening. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteHow very nice son 3 had you over for dinner, brought you soup and fixed storm door. Close by sons are certainly handy to have.
If you want clocks and pictures hung, lay out a pattern on the floor, choosing what goes where. Your handyman can make quick work of that task and you can cross it off your list.
Why not call your grandson and explain that his money gift will come later? He'll understand and he'll have something to look forward to.
Have a great day.
Marge/St.Louis
Manu days are overwhelming being carer for DH, but . . . with the supports I have in place, it is mostly manageable. So nice your DS. fixed the window. And that you got Lopez out.
ReplyDeleteRainy, drizzly, cloudy here. Pretty typical fall weather.
Hope you have a good Thursday.

There are days like that, "my mama said", as the song reiterates. Hopefully GS will understand that Grandma Lynda put in the effort!
ReplyDeleteGlad your son is watching over your safety and comfort in your "new" digs! It reminds me of when my grandmother (dad's mom) was a widow, and my dad and his sister's husband would descend on her house twice a year to change storm windows for screens or vice versa. The changing seasons come with house needs!
Hugs and blessings,
the other Barb!
