Right on eh??--The true luxuries in life, really are--TIME, SLOW MORNINGS and the FREEDOM TO CHOOSE what you Want to do--Isn't that right?-- --because we do not always get the freedom to choose what we want to do----
To-day I must attend a Berevement interview--to see if I am suitable to attend a Berevement workshop--kinda crazy --as it is difficult to attend this workshop, as my Dr., has 8 different tests to be done--I have had my knee x-rayed--but there are 7 more things to get to-- I did not have a DR., while I was in Lakefield--so now it like "playing catch up"-Life is complicated sometimes! ---
Lopez and I have been out--around the block and he got to bark at all his buddies , who were out trying to do their business--
My friend in Lakefield called yesterday, to tell me that she fell out of her bed--and broke her hip. Now isn't that a sad story?--like--who does that--just by falling out of bed?--
S0, things could always be worse--- might "get worse-"-----Everyday we should thank our lucky stars eh, when the day is going as it should!---and a wee nap after lunch does help a day pass as it should-
- Below--- -a blast from the past-
Himself and I, visiting Miss Sophia in Medina, Ohio-many moons ago--So--life iS GOOD_-'specially if your day is going right---- DO NOT FALL OUT OF BED--like my friend did---
-Be STRONG----- Hope your day is going well?--Is it??--
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your friend. Unfortunately, as we get older, that happens more often than we like to think, . I have osteoporosis, so I do worry about falling and breaking something.
Wow, that's kind of strange that you have to go through a bereavement interview. I have never heard of that. Interesting!? Is that to join a support group for people going through grief?
Anyway, wishing you a day of sunshine and good things!
Hugs,
Jackie
Good morning, Lynda! I hope your meeting goes well. Gosh, you are playing doctor catch up. I go to a new doctor on the 13th. I hope he can help my tinnitus! Oh, your poor friend falling out of bed is terrible! Bless her heart.I can’t wait for you to visit Medina, again! Enjoy your day! Sunny and 77 in Ohio. Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteI know how your friend in Lakefield feels...I fell off my chair and broke my hip! Oh, I hope she doesn't take as long to recover as I did!
Blasts from the past are always great.
I have to check again to see if you did comments on yesterday's blog
I am glad you have a doctor to treat you and keep up with your tests. There are sure a lot they want us to have. Think of all the good jobs young people have now taking care of us seniors!
There is such a shortage of nurses, though...US and Canada, too, I believe.
Maybe I'll be a nurse in my next life.
Inspections tomorrow. They may or may not come to my apartment.
In a couple hours, I need to take 2 friends on their shopping rounds.
I'll check comments on yesterday's and be back here this evening, too.
Continue your good day, dear, keeping up with Lopez and all his frenemies! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good morning, Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, I did have a quiet day yesterday and it was lovely. I expect to have another one today. We just got a new, supposedly faster, modem for our internet which my husband needs to set up today. He's so much smarter with all this technology than I am but even he is concerned about how things will go. And then we will have to reset everything. That will be our day today and my job is to just stay out of his way!!! I love the photo above of you and himself. You look so happy! I hope the bereavement issues are resolved quickly - I'm glad you're back with a Doctor you trust. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lynda, I have never heard of someone needing to be interviewed prior to being allowed to join a bereavement group. I can't imagine what type of questions they'll ask you. You know you're grieving and that should be enough. It's wonderful that your doctor is making sure that you're up to date on tests and vaccines. You haven't mentioned whether or not you've enjoyed the meal plan you ordered.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day Lynda.
Maureen from California
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of an interview for bereavement. Maybe this isn't a group but 1 on 1.. No idea why they'd need an interview.
You do have lots of upcoming appointments but you'll get through them.
Im sorry your friend in Lakefield fell and worse, broke her hip. I do hope she'll heal up quickly. Silly stuff does happen and when we get older, broken boys do happen.
I hope you enjoyed your day.
STILL very hot 89F and dry in St.Louis.
How are the frozen meals you were trying?
Hugs
Marge
HOPE that you “pass the test” to be part of the bereavement group. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your friend breaking her hip. I am now almost 3 mths. post hip fracture. NOT recommended for recreation! It’s a tough rehab.
LOL! Yes, if I get a nap, I can totally stay up til it gets dark. LOLOL
Love the flashback picture!!!
HUGS and blessings
