Kinda OK to be "old"!

Good morning to you all--- To-day will be a good day-- because---- "WE" will make it a god day-----WE CAN think positive thoughts--"If it's going to be--it's up to me!"----I just made that up----but, it is true! WE must decide to make to-day great!-------well, TRY to make it great!---

Lopez and I have been outside--went around the block--AND--he did his business!---It seems a tad coolish--

Last night Lopez and I drove out to Dunlop-- went to Son#1's deck-The leaves are so red--so pretty---and, of course, we stayed for supper---which was so nice of them to invite us--and I walked Lopez out there but he refuses to do his business  there--waits to come back home which must be more familiar to him.

                                                            It looks like--one Xmas--

below----  my garden--en route to lake

Coal would be the dog--

The harbour out ion St John's
Fred and I flew out there--

I am counting on you all being happy--  enjoying the day--
Enjoy your family--  your pets-- --AND----to-day!

AND--I must tell you---that it really is weird--being "old"---I mean as "old" as the people I used to think as "old"--  because, now I am that age--the same age as they were!
It's really weird---

but--you know, I am getting used to being as "old" as I thought they were--and-- even tho it is weird, I am becoming one of them---and --it isn't that bad---   becoming used to it!-- People do not expect as much from me  now --kinda OK--  but it is sorta weird!

  1. It's Kathy. Yes, it's weird being old and you've got a few years on me! I am so trying to change my attitude and be grateful for each and every minute of every day. It's hard sometimes with the pain. But I think it's a bit less today - or maybe I've just adjusted to it. We are still having some really warm weather, I'm so ready for fall and the cooler air. I love the photo of your family, and I don't think I mentioned it yesterday but I enjoyed seeing your 5 children all together! Today will be another quiet day for me and I'll enjoy every minute of it!

  4. Being positive is a super power we all can exercise!

Yes . . . have to agree w/you. As we get older (which isn’t really old @ all!), people expect less of us, which is kinda nice!

LOVE the photo from the past. LOVELY.

HUGS and here’s to a good day.

  5. I kinda like being older, all but the aches and pains. I don't have to worry about attracting a mate, about my weight, how I look, or what I do. I just do whatever my weird self feels like! :)

  7. Good evening, sis.
All day I've been doing a 'refresh' on yesterday's blog. Figured if there was a new one for today it would pop up. Not! I saw the title on the right hand column and found this.
It was a great day for me. I left the cane JoAnne gave me in Chicago. I called the hotel...they have it and are sending it to me! I have to pay, off course, but it's no more $ than buying a new one with the footie on it to make it stand up.
Always love your blasts from the past. The lake is so beautiful...and the gardens. All that family at Christmas...that is really special.
Day after tomorrow we have the 'safety' inspections, so I will GI my apartment. We used to say that when I was in the Army.
Bedtime for me and Lucky now. I will check in the morning to see if there are comments here (or on yesterday's blog for that matter). {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
