Patience is a Virtue-- Possess it if you can, IT'S OFTEN FOUND IN WOMEN , BUT NEVER IN A MAN!

Good Morning --7-15am--still dark here-  First day of Fall!!!-
I tried very hard to get out of bed around 6am--hard , as there is no day light yet--but--it seems mild--no furnace on--I cannot walk Lopez yet but he still had his strip of cheese--He likes that as early as he can get it , in the morning--

So, yesterday, I went out to Son#1 and his wife--AGAIN_-had supper-- so so nice to eat with people--I MUST NOT GO AGAIN TO_NIGHT_I MUST LEARN TO EAT ALONE----or--go out to a restaurant---and little Lopez  did his business in their house--my fault--  I think he tried to tell me but I paid no attention-- --So--I must get Lopez out here--will return shortly--We go around the block---with all the other dog walkers--and there are many--Everyone, it seems , has a dog--and they are walked morning, noon, and night----

--a "blast from the past"---2006---Son#2 in the front row , beside me--with his daughter on his lap, who is now finished University--the baby on the left, in her Mother's arms , is Son#3's daughter, who is now in her 2nd year University--
--another blast from the past--with the same 2 babies---only younger--

The wash is in---  now in the dryer--  the dishwasher is empty--   (Yu gotta love this tiny Danby Dishwasher!)----

Are you feeling Strong this AM?--I hope everyone is happy--We have a whole day ahead of us--We can certainly fit a wee rest into the day--get yer feet up----hopefully have a wee rest ---  Everything we do to-day  will help us  to stay healthy-- and happy--  I hope!!!

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PATIENCE TO GO---

LORDY BE---  NEVER!!!! Patience is a Virtue--!

  1. Good Monday Morning,
Today is the first day of fall and it feels like it weather wise here.
We are going to get rain and thunderstorms this afternoon so I am going to hit the grocery this morning before my workout instead of after. I hate loading and unloading groceries in the rain.
Love seeing all your pictures. Poor Lopez, I am sure he didn't mean to have an accident. Yes, sometimes we miss when our pets are trying to tell us something, like they need to go out, etc.
    Have a great fall day!

  2. Good morning, sis.
I got out of bed just a bit later than I wanted to too. All's good now, though.
The photos are great...of course, I focus on you and Himself. Babies are always welcome.
Why should you not go to your son's tonight? They may expect you. I bet if you don't go they will call to see why not!
They have dogs, too, so I bet they were not too upset with Lopez's accident.
I have garbage, etc. to do today and more packing.
I had a chance to upgrade my train seat...a roomette...with an attendant free meals, 2 seats and a private restroom. I put a bid on it, but I may not know if I got it 'til I get to the train station Friday morning.
Time to get started on stuff, dear. I'll be back, too. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. The memory photos are precious! Love that you share them with us, your "invisible friends" (as some blogger or other from Spark started calling them years ago, and it stuck in my brain). Extra pets for Lopez!

  4. Good morning Lynda, poor Lopez trying to tell you that nature was calling. I believe one of the reasons you moved back to Elliott Lake was because you had so many friends living there. I know some friends have already reached out to you. While there may be some nights when you eat alone, why not begin reaching out to some of your friends and invite them to your home for a meal, or meet up at a restaurant? After you extend the first invitation it will get easier to do it. You haven't mentioned going to son #3 and #4's homes for dinner.

    Wishing you a good day.

  5. Oh, my. How many times have you mentioned that when your parents moved close to you, they'd show up unannounced right around dinnertime? Guess who's turning into her mother? As challenging as it is to find some comfort with being alone and to find new routines, you may want to think about how often you visit the sons' homes and how it impacts their own routines. You want to continue to be welcome, not only by the sons but also by their wives. That said...please give your piano some love one of these days.

    3. Sorry that you feel the way yu do--Yes my Mom and Dd would appear as soon as we used to sit down at the table AND THEY WOULD STAY AND EAT--I am sorry that you feel so angry ---I do not mind turning into my Mother--She was a good person---They would usually stay for dinner as Mom was very blind--I find yu very rude--and very hurtful--whoever yu are!--No wonder yu go un der "anonymous--"---Why do yu not put yer name to what yu wrote?-- ----One of these days play the piano??-- It is played ALL THE TIME__Lynda

  6. It's Kathy. We were up early this morning so I could see a doctor. I've had serious pain in my lower back for 3 days not. They did take x-rays and everything looks okay, which is good. I've been in touch with my back surgeon - they will look at the notes and the x-rays too! So I guess I need more patience while I'm healing! She prescribed some pain medication for me which I'll have shortly. I hope you have a good day,.

    2. Fall is making it's presence known. Dark earlier, light in the morning later.

As for eating w/son #1 and his wife, well, I think that's nice! My parents would pop over, sometimes @ supper time. Never a problem. Too bad sons #3 and 4 don't put an offer out.

Love the photos from the past. Such precious memories.

      hugs and patience

  7. Hi Lynda, I was in a cranky mood today, I'm not sure just why, but I didn't want to be at work, doing, well, WORK. But I got through the day.
I had bought chicken tenders Saturday and put them in the fridge in a marinade, only that was Saturday. It says it's been too long, and so I had to through them out. Frozen dinner again for me. Sigh. I did buy a baked potato to microwave, also. I can have that. Double sigh.

  9. Hi Lynda
    Great pictures.
You can do hard things. You've already shown that over and over.
Invite some friends over for lunch or dinner. You wont be alone to eat.
Are any of the dogs walkers friends? Maybe they could become coffee buddies.
I know you'll find something you enjoy doing to be around others.
    Hang in.
    Hugs

  10. Hi Lynda! It has been rainy in Ohio this afternoon but we needed it so bad. Poor Lopez had an accident. It’s ok. How was your day? I hope it was great! Have you got the chocolate ice cream, yet? LOL Hugs to you!

  11. Just stopping in to say hi and check how you're doing. Our weather has been about the same as yours, but we're getting rain and will be off and on the rest of the week. My heart still goes out to you. It's hard, very hard to accept all the changes that you've had in your life. Every day you seem to be getting a little stronger. Each day will be what it is and I wish you well. I hear you with the calendar business. I also have 2 calendars going, as I can't remember from one day to another, especially with all the doctor appointments, dentists appts, etc. Seems like things weren't like this years ago. I have decided to join a gym and take water aerobatics. Winter is coming soon, so walking every day won't be an option. I hope you figure out what is right for you. You'll find you're new niche, I know you will.
