Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteThey are calling for possible rain here today and for the next 4 days. We haven't had rain in weeks so we need it. Everything is so dry.
I know how you feel about a tiny kitchen. I call mine Barbie's galley because it is so small, not a lot of counter space or cupboard space. Both of my previous houses had big open kitchens and I miss that. I do hope to move one more time when housing prices come down, if they ever do. That will be my final move.
Glad you are getting to spend time with Son#1.
Have a great day!
Jackie
Jackie I hope I never move again---do not think I will ever get this place the way I want it--lotza work--guess it just takes time-- Hugs to yu Jackie--Hope yer day goes well-Lynda
DeleteI am thinking about you living in your tiny house - and I realize how different it must be for you. There are times when I think I need to be in a smaller place as I am now living in my large completely remodeled & restored home. I am overwhelmed at all the furniture and bedding and household items I need to purchase to get back to brand new home....but so much work. And the hardest part is being a widow and having to make all kinds of decisions on my own...I really struggle with that. I agree with you that eating alone is one of the hardest things that happens when you lose your hubby. Everything is harder. Hang in there dear friend, I would love to tell you that things will get better, but that is not true, but eventually, you learn to accept that this is your life now and your choice is to live the best life you can, trying to remember the good things you still have, like your kids and grandkids! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAww Sandra--- I waste so much food--but when I eat at Son#1's place I eat everything-Yes --living without Fred is so hard but--I am doing it and really trying to make the best of it--but it sure isn't the same eh??-- Love hearing from yu Sandra-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteIt's partly cloudy here and rain this afternoon. It will reach 70F, though.
I love that first meme! Sounds like most of us, I bet.
Happy your son and his welcome you for the evening meal. I don't eat much either. Sometimes I can't finish a frozen entree.
Your little office nook is really cute...and that photo of you and Himself...perfect. That should be displayed somewhere...if you can find room.
Will you post a photo of Lopez in his jean jacket?
Have you met with the grief counselor yet or are you just going to do the classes.
I went to karaoke last night and stayed a couple hours. I can't make it til 11 or midnight anymore, it seems.
Have groceries to pick up today. And I am going to use the foot spa today, too. It's just like going to a salon. Don't you just love Amazon?!
Back later, Lynda. Enjoy your day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--I do love Amazon--They send whatever you order--RIGHT TO YER DOOR--I LOVE that!!--- Yes This sure is s "tiny house""--at least one cannot collect crap eh?--LOLOL-It is cool outside--and yes I will send a pic of his JEAN JACKET--right out of VOGUE--lOLOL----Cold in here--I better light the furnace-- Love hearing from yu Maggie!!--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda. I don't understand why you would need to hire someone to clear your driveway when it snows. As a renter, I would think management or the owner of your townhouse would be responsible for that. You should bake something in your oven prior to baking the pumpkin pies, that way you will know if the oven works properly. Prepare a meal and invite a friend over to share it with you. Prepare a meal and invite one of your sons and his family.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day goes well. I would gladly accept some of your cooler weather. Here it is still in the 80s and 90s. I want Fall weather.
Maureen from California
Hi Maureen--Yes it must be very hot where yu live-- not here for sure! --- Great ideas to bake something in the oven-- no management does not do the snow clearing--they do cut the grass however-- sorta-- LOl--Lynda
DeleteYes, it would be hard to give up the memories if you got rid of the king size bed. Are you still sleeping on his side of the bed occasionally? I think that just sounds like such a comforting thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThat’s wonderful that you had dinner w/Son #1. It IS nicer to eat w/others vs. eating alone. I know when Jason traveled, and the kids were gone out of the house, I really wasn’t interested in cooking for myself or eating. I get it.
Well, good luck to you working w/your oven. Maybe make a small one as an experiment??
Love the photo of you and Himself. Yes, it looks like it must have been cold/Winter when that photo was taken!
You are indeed creative with your computer space! Good for you. It works! That’s what counts.
Same question as has been asked – doesn’t the landlord take care of the snow removal?
Hugs and blessings,
barb

Yes--one week on his side--the next on my side--then in the laundry the sheets go-_No--The landlord does not clear the snow--only the grass--Lynda
DeleteDo you have one big parking area for both sides of the duplex, or do you each have your own driveway? I would ask them how they handle the snow. If they have someone come clear theirs, you might be able to use that person.
ReplyDeleteNo our own Driveway-which we are responsible for--It is a town house--like--a row house--Lynda
DeleteGoid evening, Lynda! I think your little place is just right for you and the fur babies. So nice you went to hang out and eat with your son again. Your blogging corner, we will call it, is very cute! Lol Big hugs from Ohio! It is dark out, already. I don’t like it. Have a great night!
ReplyDeleteI like your "computer nook", Lynda! Little spaces can be quite nice, sometimes. And I understand it makes it harder to make up a big bed (dealt with that myself at least one place we lived). But when you wrote it brings thoughts of Fred, well, that's all it takes to keep something about! Warm thoughts of a loved one are the best decoration!
ReplyDeleteI encountered a lady in the line at the grocer's yesterday who reminded me of you. She was visiting with the checkout clerk and when the clerk admired her ring, she asked how long the lady had been married (it was over 50 years). The little lady said that her husband had passed and said how much she missed him every day. That made me think of you, my dear! You are not alone, and like you, she was getting out there and getting on with the business of living. One day, she expressed her faith and hope, they would be reunited.
Much love, gentle rest, and bright days to come, decorated with those warm loving memories.
With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.Share this Quote
