LOOK FOR THE HELPERS ---They are always around us!

Good morning to you all--  raining here--but I think it is sorta stopping--
Lopez and I have not been out yet--
So----How are you??--
a new day---and "we" are a part of it-
OMG! --I just killed a black ugly looking spider -maybe that is why it is raining-- LOLOL--

So last evening, I went out to see Son#1  and family--and I took some family pictures out to him--There is no way that I can keep--and hang, so , many photo in this tiny house--AND-- I HAVE GOOD NEWS =
MY THYROID TEST IS PERFECTLY NORMAL__after a year of it not being that way-
-I am pretty happy about that.

So, I shall ask you again--
HOW ARE YOU THIS AM?

So, I am keeping my tiny little dishwasher--  You see, yesterday, I was going to send this wee small washer back--get a larger one that is built in--  but I sorta like this wee thing--You see, it is on wheels, and yu just push it up to the sink--connect it to the tap in the sink--and when yu are done washing the dishes, you wheel it away--It is kinda cute!---seems to work--  and I only turn it on  every couple of days--
I have been told to send this one back and get one that is permanently connected under the counter--but--  I kinda like my wee tiny one--I only use it every 2-3 days --

So I see the rain has stopped--I must get Lopez out ---
Remember to look for the "helpers" ---=We just need to ask--and--THEY WILL APPEAR--=HELP US DO WHATEVER-WE WANT---
LOOK FOR THOSE HELPERS!

  1. Good morning
You seem to have rain fairly often. That will make your fall colors more glorious. Very dry, shredded wheat yards, in St.Louis. No mowing
    Great news on thyroid.
Yay you passed on one box of pictures. More to do.
Since you rent your townhouse would you be allowed to put in a built in dishwasher? Doesn't matter since you've already decided to keep the portable one. Whatever you want to do. In a small space, I'd prefer more walking room but it's your 🏠 I'm the keep it simple, uncluttered, open space type. Hubs has terrible vision so we need open spaces in our villa as it avoids tripping/falling hazards.
Yes, there are helpers everywhere. I call them angels among us.
The frozen meals are reasonable. I do hope you like them.
    Have a great day.

  2. I've always loved that part of Fred Rogers' message. Look for the helpers. It encourages so many children to become those helpers!

Ember and I are well. The weather here is cooling, and looks to have a nice warm up to "normal" September temperatures within the next week. It's very pleasant, and we enjoyed a fine walk in our neighborhood this morning.

BTW, I like your "wee" dishwasher. I used to have one like it, on wheels, hook up to the kitchen tap. It worked in the old (circa 1901) house we lived in at the time, as it would have taken major work to install one in the counter, and we did not have the budget for it. But the little one worked. If you like it, keep it, right?

May you have a good weekend!

  3. Good morning, sis.
When I saw the title of this blog, I was gonna tell you that Mr. Fred Rogers said that...BUT YOU KNEW CUZ YOU DID THE MEME!
I like your dishwasher, too. I have even seen drawer dishwashers built in that don't take up as much cupboard space.
I have my dishes done. Just have to put them away.
It's a mix of sun and clouds here, and cold...only in the 60'sF. Looks like more rain will be coming, too.
I got all my packages yesterday. I have a new cozy robe to put on in the morning.
My apt is cold. The boilers for our hot water heat won't be turned on 'til mid October. We've lost our maintenance man, so I don't know who will turn them on.
I'm about to go down and check the mail. I may go get a lottery ticket and a blueberry muffin at the gas station a couple blocks away then see if the laundry room is busy.
I am happy you got some of your family photos delivered. It's better than just storing them in a box.
Back later, Lynda. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. You're settling in nicely, doing a little bit every day, and you're back home. So glad to hear the thyroid is in sync -- one of my friends had to keep adjusting her meds for a couple of years before things came into balance. Good idea to check out the packaged meals for seniors -- is that something you'd pick up on your own or would they deliver like the "Meals on Wheels" programs in the States? And...a grief counselor appointment! Please, before you meet with them, write down your concerns or questions as you think of them, or even things like how you go about feeling part of the community again or finding social connections.

My in-laws had a full-size portable dishwasher that Mother P hooked up every evening. I'd never seen something like that before I married into the family. The ironic thing is my father-in-law was a construction manager and he and his sons or son-in-law (kitchen remodeler!) could easily have installed a permanent one...but it worked for them so why mess with it.

I like the larger font -- thank you! / Leslie

  5. So glad that your thyroid test was normal. YEAH!!!

And how nice that you got to see Son #1 and give him photos. Awesome.

Glad that you decided to keep the small dishwasher. Handier than a built in.

  6. It's Kathy. Thank you for the hugs! Yes, it is so hard to see my daughter struggle so much and all I can do is listen. But listen I will, and then I share with my dear husband. There really is nothing we can do other than support her along the way. I actually had a good night's sleep last night and so I feel pretty good. Had a call from an old friend and spent about an hour on the phone catching up - so now I'm behind. Oh Well, some things are more important! I'm going out soon to pick up in the yard - it's cold here too. We did have rain last night so I probably won't work in the gardens. I like your dishwasher. My mom had a small one like that and she loved hers! Have a wonderful day!

  7. Good afternoon, Lynda! It is 75 and partly sunny in Ohio. A little windy. I have been Sadie since 7 this morning so I took a break and went for an iced coffee to sip and get me through the rest of the cleaning. I would have a dishwasher built in to IF you are going to stay there. That spider sounds scary! I had a fence put around my deck with solar lights on the top. It attracts frogs and I cannottttt stand them. So I had my husband kill 3 this week and my lawncare boy to kill one. YUCK! I hope you are having a fabulous Friday! Hugs!
