Nice to know one thing about most things!

 Oh dear-- I forgot to publish yesterdays blog--so, you would not be able to read it--I am so sorry--It is published now--a tad late tho--I was focused on getting to see the Doctor, more than anything--I guess---

I did see Dr Amir, and he made all kinds of arrangements to see a whole lot of specialists--- a heart Dr---  a Derm--various tests to be done--plus a Covid shot--It is very nice to be back with my own Dr once again--You know, I didn't even have a Dr. when I lived in Lakefield!

So, to-day is a brand new day--Lopez and I are up here--in the dark-- Sushi is asleep on the bed upstairs--It is beginning to be daylight--  I hear rain is lightly falling--  not cold tho--and to-day, is a brand new day--and here we are, a part of it! And yes, we CAN DO HARD THINGS TO_DAY!--Lopez and I are heading out for a wee walk--but, YES--I shall return!

Strong----face the day--  BE  Strong--  "I" CAN" DO THIS-----It is OK to eat alone-----read my book---  oh yes, I do have a good book--and I shall try to do jigsaw puzzles--I bought a board to rest the puzzle on--so, I AM TRYING___but, I do miss the "family affairs' we always  had!

                            Remember the pet cemetery? So many dogs and cats tomb stones in there--

                                                            Fred playing ball  with  Coal

````                                        -and the deck where I found Sushi eating birdseed ??                                                            Fred with his youngest son--TIM
                       Life eh??---  So many good years---  WE --"I" have wonderful memories--
                                 Never forget to save those memories--One day, you will need them----
                                  So--Have a GREAT DAY to-day--MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
                                                            SAVE IT IN YOUR HEART_
                    WE ARE perfectly fine with knowing some things about everything--  RIGHT???
  2. Good morning, sis.
    I saw yesterday's blog, commented, went back to check comments and it said, "The page you are looking for does not exist." What the ....? I see your comments now.
    Re: the inspections...since we are subsidized (the government pays part of our rent), they want to make sure we are safe...they look for excell clutter, our cords to pull for help are accessible, nothing on the stove top, etc.
    Love all your photos! You do have great memories. I do, too...in little albums, in frames all around, on the hard drive of my computer, etc.
    You are having as many appointments at doctor's offices and tests as I do! Younger people have great careers taking care of us older folks.
    Happy your cleaning ladies came, too. Someday, I'll have them.
    Want to do my bathroom and kitchen floors today, garbage, etc. out, go to the bank for $5 bills for tips, get gas and finish packing. 7:30 tomorrow morning, I'll be heading for the train.
    Better get going. I haven't even had breakfast yet, and I am still in my bathrobe! I'll check again this evening. Make yourself a great day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
  3. Hi Lynda
    Happy to see your post. I didn't see one yesterday.
    Hey, proud of you for taking actions such as puzzles and book and being willing to eat alone
    YOU CAN eat alone and learn to be OK with it. Winter is coming so you may have to. LOL Doing great. Baby steps. Yes, I remember the pet cemetery at other house. Nice pictures.
    Sounds like cleaning ladies came again. That gives you more free time.
    Enjoy today.
    Hugs
  4. Morning Lynda,
    Glad you got into your Dr. and getting caught up on all things medical. I need to schedule a yearly exam with my PCP, but I keep forgetting to do it.
    It's rainy and cooler here today. After several days of rain, which we needed, I think tomorrow and most of the weekend is going to be rain free.
    The puzzles and books hopefully will help keep you busy.
    Have a good day!
    Hugs,
    Jackie
  5. Good morning Lynda, actually you did publish yesterday's post because I read it and commented. Later in the day it had disappeared. Very strange. Great that you have your doctor who knows your medical history and what tests to order and referrals to make. I'm so pleased to hear that you've found a good book to read. Reading is one of my greatest pleasures. I hope your day goes well.
  6. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I just read yesterday's blog - nice photos! Our memories do carry us as we get older, don't they. I sometimes miss those days when my children were all here making noise and having fun! I am still having a lot of pain in my back/right leg - it bothers me the most at night. I've gotten up every night this week to sit in the recliner on the heating pad - must be something about laying down that's challenging. But today Daisy and I are going to run out to the Dollar Store because tomorrow is my grandson's 7th birthday and we are celebrating for lunch. I have his gifts but I need wrapping paper and a card. It will be my first time out of the house in a week! I hope you have a good day today!
  7. Good morning, Lynda! It seems you’ve been a bit hectic the last couple of days. We all get that way at times. It is cloudy and 67 in Ohio. At least you know with the door open there are ones to care and check on you. That is a good thing. Glad you had a good doctor visit. I have a new doctor in October after 5 years of not caring much for my doctor. How’s it going with the cleaning ladies? I hope it’s helpful to you. Have a calmer day and don’t forget to eat ice cream. LOL! Big hugs!
  8. Hi Lynda. Marti here. Glad you got to see your doc! Glad you are getting "all squared away" with him!
    You will always miss Fred, but now you can begin your very own daily habits and things you enjoy doing. Try them all, if you don't end up enjoying them, find another hobby. Books, watching true crime (I LOVE true crime), taking nature walks, games you can play on the iPad if you have one, dining out with friends, whatever "floats yer boat!" :)
    It is raining here today too, has been all week, off and on. We need an all day all night steady rain though, we have bad drought!
    I saw my psych meds doctor today, not a regular one, though. I had a lot to discuss! She is so nice. I've been sad over my breakup with my boyfriend, she recommends me getting back to my exercise group that i used to do every Mon and Weds., and not isolating.
    Have a good one!
    Marti
    1. Oh, and watching things on tv that will make me laugh! I don't do that enough. I find Saturday Night Live often does that for me, or a truly silly movie, like "Airplane" or "Naked Gun" or "Blazing Saddles."
  9. Hi Lynda: You sound a bit better today? Thinking of a few things you can do. I eat alone every day too. And I remember that pet cemetery. Hugs Brenda
