-almost 8am---I am going out with Lopez--So we have a dreary looking day beginning here--AND----- now it is after 10am--and--guess what??--The sun is out----This AM , early, I drove the garbage out to the dumpster at Dunlop Lake--got it out of the way of the cleaning ladies , who were coming this AM--I left the house open for them----AND--when I returned, there was Andrew in the driveway---- A neighbour had seen the front door open (I guess!)_-so called into me in the house here-- (I was not here)--and so called Andrew to let him know this house was open-- no front door locked----- I think Andrew thought I had died--or something------Poor guy--He left work to check on the house here---and me!
So, I have 2 cleaning ladies in here now--vacuuming--etc etc--Lopez is in his crate--howling---
And this afternoon, I must go see my Dr. -at the clinic--Hopefully the thyroid is normal--It never was while I lived in Lakefield--My DR did get it to the normal reading when I returned---- so, my hair stopped falling out--my skin is still VERY dry--That will get better in time--and the crying has not stopped, but I certainly am not sobbing as much as I was--
``a blast from the past"---These boys are now in high school\
`
`below--- Allison at our house at Dunlop --helping out--
Allisons daughter Sophia in the
"waiting room"--waiting for her brother to be born--at 3am
She is now entering University
A quick note here-- Lopez is crated--yelping--
the cleaning ladies are running around-- and I must get off of here--
I sometimes feel I run a kinda "crazy" house these days-- Ever feel this way???
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteYes, I almost always think I'm running a crazy house (well, apartment)!
Always something to do. I get everything all cleaned up and sorted out...then...voila!...it needs it again. How'd it get that way so fast? And, of course, always laundry and people needing help.
Inspections coming up just a couple days after I get back from Chitown.
The blasts from the past...that precious baby girl with headphones and a laptop!!!
Dunlop with your daughter-in-law...I knew of Lakefield and Elliot. Must've been long ago you lived in Dunlop.
Must go now. 'Becca needs a trip to the clinic. Sigh.
Got a lot of chores done this morning, though, so that's good.
You have cleaning ladies to do them...lucky you!
It's foggy/hazy here, too, but it's supposed to reach 70F.
Back later, Lynda...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
oh poor yu--those crazy inspections!!! Why do they do that?? It is yer house?-_ Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, sending wishes that the doctor has good news for you regarding your thyroid. Perhaps for future cleaning lady visits, you can leave a key under the mat or under a potted plant rather than leaving a door open. It will be nice to have your home all clean and shiny. Chihuahuas can definitely cause a lot of noise, but Lopez will get over it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day ahead.
Maureen from California
Hi Maureen great idea-=-leave the key for the cleaners--Lynda
DeleteI love that the neighbors are looking out for you and know who to call when your door is wide open and you're not responding. Fingers crossed that the thyroid is back in normal range. Hugs! / Leslie
ReplyDeleteThe thyroid back to normal--YEAHHHHHH--Took a long time tho-Lynda
DeleteAwwww, you know, those tears are the price we pay for loving someone so deeply for so long. They're OK!
ReplyDeleteLove the blast from the past photos.
That's wonderful that your neighbor checked on you. You have special neighbors!
HUGS and blessings

One thing old photos shows us is how fast time flies as the children in them have grown up! Glad you're back with your Dr. and hope that the thyroid stays stable. Tears related to grief, well, that's to be expected "off and on" for some time, I'm afraid. Your love and connection are deep. Glad your son came in response to your neighbor's call! We were lucky enough that my dad had the same kind of neighbors after our mom passed. They would call one of us kids when something happened at his house.
ReplyDeleteHugs and hoping for good days ahead!
