Good Morning --dark--- no snow falling here --yet! Lopez and I have not been out either-- I have heard from Son#2 the Pilot--He has returned--back from Sao Paulo-- probably "de-plane-ing"- (is that a word?)---then has a drive home, from Toronto--He said that was a 10 hr flight--long eh?----
These days before Christmas are busy ---- decorating-- snow falling which might have to be cleared away--more clothes to pack on the body--So, what I am saying, you might find the blogs a tad shorter--but, I shall try to continue on--- I know this time of year we are all busy--This A.M., I have a breakfast to get to with a friend of Son#1---AND--IT IS STILL DARK OUTSIDE__
Yesterday was the Bereavement Course at our local hospital-- 11am--to 3pm-- long eh?--I think we have 3 more classes--I do find that I am able to accept , for the rest of my life, that I do not have Fred--beside me--in person--and I am finding that it is easier to be alone--go shut the door and actually --"be alone"--(Yes, I could dance! LOL)
and every day seems a tad better-easier also!OK--Words I wish I wrote_ -#1.--There is always something to learn___
#2. Look inside yourself for the strength to continue-
#3.-It takes 2 flints to make a fire--
I hope to-day goes well for you-- Once one decides to "have a great day"--no matter what, ---one usually does have a good day--"mind over matter"--as Dad used to say--and--- maybe we should count our age by friends, not years----
Good Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt's Thanksgiving today in the states so we are getting all the Thanksgiving dinner preparations going. It will just be me and hubby today. His sons and youngest son's wife will be coming on Saturday for dinner because they have other family obligations today.
So glad to hear the bereavement classes have been a help for you.
Yes, it's going to get busy for most of us with upcoming holidays, decorating and all that goes with Christmas.
Meteorologists are predicting snow here in the next few days so we will see. It is pretty cold here now. In the low 30's.
Stay warm and snuggle up with Sushi and Lopez.
Jackie
Happy Thanksgiving to you --We had a few inches of snow today also--and it was very cold--Lynda

I am headed over about now to my family's Thanksgiving, just 5 of us. I have to take the green bean casserole out and top it with some more french fried onions for 5 minutes, then I'll make a mad dash out of here! :)

DeleteIt's Kathy. Today is Thanksgiving in my world, but Tom and I have chosen to do our day by ourselves. I saw the Pain Management doctor yesterday. Yes, I am healing, but it will still take some time to be without pain completely (if that ever happens). So I will roast a chicken, makes some mashed potatoes (Tom's favorite), open a jar of gravy, make green beans and just enjoy this day! Have a good day too!
ReplyDeleteKathy--Did you just enjoy the day"-sounds like a great way to spend a day-- Hugs, Lynda-----Oh I hope so you had a great day! Lynda

ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy your bereavement class is helping you!
It's cold here, too. Just 21F, but the snow has stopped. Plows cleared it. It looks like my car is clean, too. That's good for my drive to my daughter's for Thanksgiving dinner.
A meal with a friend of your son...that person is your friend, too. Love the idea of counting your age by friends. Counting the old ones from work, the Facebook ones, the local ones, the animals...I AM ANCIENT!
I am sending you a couple photos to your email address.
Off to get ready. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
K--I shall check my email--I hope you enjoyed today-- how was dinner?-- Hugs--and Happy Turkey day--Gobble Gobble--Lynda
