To-day is Saturday, November 8th--
Good morning--
Are you "up and at-er?--
We all need a hug , early in the morning---cold here this morning--minus 8 C----I hear on the TV news that flying anywhere just might be a challenge--Right now, Son #2 is somewhere in South America--just landed early this AM--flew overnight---He says that flying in the US is a challenge--right now-- Sushi--this AM-on my bed--She likes it there as the mattress pad heats up for her--I HOPE TO GET A FEW GROCERIES THIS MORNING----ONCE THE HOUSE , THE WASH IS IN--AND LOPEZ WALKED-----SO FAR THIS AM ALL I HAVE DONE IS FEED THE ANIMALS--I HEAR SUSHI UPSTAIRS ASKING FOR HER BREAKFAST--
"He enjoys life who makes others enjoy it-"
My one positive thought this morning--
So, ever onward here ----- The dog must get out-- which means a parka for me--and Lopez needs his new shiny blue Parka--breakfast--then out comes the vacuum--then the grocery--and then, the best of all--a wee nap---Days are busy ----and -----soon "SNOW" will be on the agenda, which means a shovel must come out--Hopefully I can find some one to help with the snow--It won't be as bad here in town to deal with, as it was out at the Lake--
another word of wisdom--"Never give up control of your life"---- Hmmmmm--so true eh??--and--another "word of wisdom"-----"STOP BUYING MORE STUFF""_-(I love that one!)--and--"There comes a time in everyone's life when they realize that they have to live with themselves!--"-(so true)
Time to get Lopez out-- then carry on here---I hope that "YOU" make your day special, in some way--Remember that"YOU" truly are special----Hope your day is a very happy day!----MAKE IT THAT WAY!-------SMILE!
Good Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI think we might get a dusting of snow overnight tonight. The temperatures here are cool. Sounds like you might be getting some snow too.
I loved your words of wisdom, so true, all of them. Stop buying more stuff really hits home. I am trying to downsize all the stuff we have and no longer need, but it's a challenge for sure. I wrestle with, if I give it away, I might need it later and I won't have it. It's a vicious cycle. LOL.
As far as traveling by plane here in the US right now, all I can say is I am glad I don't need to, it sounds like it's a mess. Cancelled and delayed flights, air traffic controllers working without pay, Yikes, I feel bad them. It's just a bad situation all around. Not sure how long this government shut down is going to last. Everyone in the government needs to put on their big boy or big girl pants and work together to get it back open.
You and Sushi stay warm on your walk and have a wonderful day!
Jackie
Jackie--I really do love those quotes--""--pretty funny eh, because we buy more stuff everyday--AND--I guess this is the time in my life when I must live with myself--LOL--They made me smile--those quotes----- Enjoy to-day--and love yu --Lynda

ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
Are you aware that you said you fed the pets and then said you heard Sushi crying for her breakfast? Lucky did that today. Fed him, he ate and then kept crying....even after one handed pets while I was here at the computer. I decided he just wants me to focus on him!
My weather app says we are to get snow today...starting NOW! It's 31F now with lows to be in the low 20s!
I need to take my little collapsible shovel (that my big sis, Joanne bought me) down to the car and my ice scraper brushes!
Words of wisdom...don't you just love 'em? I have quotes saved on Facebook, a folder of them on my hard drive, etc. I especially love the ones by spiritual people (the Pope, Dali Lama, Buddha, etc.), famous authors, athletes, actors, etc. Thank you for more of them! I appreciate knowing who the quote is from.
I must order pet food to pick up. I drive to the pet store, call them and they bring what I ordered out to the car.
You have a good day...with your household chores, pets, shopping and nap. I will check back later, {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Yes Maggie--I did feed Sushi--and she thought it was not enough I guess--had to give her more--LOL--And yes, "Words of Wisdom"--The trouble is, THDY ARE TRUE!----- LOL--Life eh??-- Always makes one wonder!! ---- Thank yu for writing--reading--and do not forget--STOP BUYING MORE STUFF --LOL--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteI have to ask, because it interests me, you seem to do laundry every morning, yes? I wonder how you have enough to do a load. I do laundry when I have accumulated enough dirty clothes to make a load, and since I live alone, that results in maybe 2, sometimes 3 fairly small loads a week. Just curious. Mainly because it never occurred to me to do laundry daily, even when my husband and daughter were living here. Sorry, not being critical, just something I have noticed in your blog, and it surprised me. I am assuming it is a long time habit from when you had a full house! Thanks for the hug this morning and the good advice, as always! Have a great day…even at the grocery store, which is one of my least favorite tasks! Susan/ Colorado
ReplyDeleteHi Susan--Yes I seem to find a load of laundry everyday--It must be a habit from when 5 kids were here--LOL_- Lynda
DeleteIt occurred to me after I wrote this that maybe I am odd in my laundry habits.😁. I use my bath towel more than once and only wash my sheets once a week. And I have been known to wear some pants more than once before washing them. So, maybe I should have been doing laundry more often….hahaha. Too late to teach an old dog new tricks, especially one who does not like doing housework.😩
DeleteI do laundry weekly, on a weekend, as I live alone, and only shower every other day. Why do more than you have to for no reason, I figure. Bed linens I do every 2 weeks. Funny how everyone has their habits, and you assume everyone is the exact same? At least, I do! :)
DeleteMarti
No Marti--I stick the laundry n every day-- We all do what is best for us I guess--LOL--habit--LOL Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon, Lynda! It’s going to snow a bit tomorrow night and Monday in Ohio! I do not fly but feel terrible for the ones who need to and I hope it gets resolved for the holidays. You are busy again today. I took a Sadie break and ran out for an iced coffee. It will keep me going this afternoon. Enjoy your nap! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAllison will run into that snow I guess when she drives South go see that Theresa Lady--Lynda
DeleteI sure hope not!
DeleteIt's Kathy. Today was going to be cleaning day but I sure didn't sleep very well last night so I think we'll postpone until tomorrow. Tom helps with the vacuuming which takes a huge load off of me. He's out leaf blowing right now and I have put my walking sticks together. The doctor wants me to walk slowly in front of a mirror (the mirror my parents bought me more than 60 years ago) and watch that my hip doesn't drop. But my back does hurt this morning so I think I'll do that this afternoon. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are in very good shape Kathy--=t least this morning--I hope your afternoon goes well;--It still is quite cold outside here--Lynda

ReplyDeleteReading your blog late today.....as it was a downer of a day for me. Funny that you stated that one of the words of wisdom is to stop buying stuff. I had just purchased a new sectional couch for my basement and it was delivered today....I was so excited as it is one of the last of the many items I had to replace because of the smoke and soot damage to my beautiful home! Well guess what??? Even though it was a sectional, they could not get one of the pieces down into my basement as there are two 90 degree angles on the landing.....so they had to take everything back...I so wanted to have this sectional couch for my grandchildren who will all be here for thanksgiving and it was their favorite hangout to be in the basement on our holidays together! I am so sad. Now I must start all over to find something for the basement.....which is so beautiful with the new plank flooring and ceiling and paint....why oh why is all this happening to me! I just want to get my house back to normal. Sigh. I just need to "buck up Buttercup" something that my beloved husband used to say to me! Just one more challenge....I can do this! Hope your day was good one! Loved the picture of Sushi! She looks like one of my cats!
ReplyDeleteAhh Sandra---Did yu find a different sofa for the basement??--I am sure that you will and it will be better than the other one that yu originally wanted--Poor you--So many decisions you have to make on yer own--so hard--but--you know, "YOU" are strong--You will figure things out! Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteLove Syshi. She's so pretty.

ReplyDeleteSushi was a kitten that someone just threw away at the Boat Launch--Her Mother was murdurded by some child---and her little brother was killed--Somehow she survived and began to hang around our home as we fed the birds outside and she began to eat birdseed--- Lynda
