Sunday--Nov. 3rd----is to-day!--And here we are-- another day--with sunshine--even an extra hour--- How did you use that extra hour?----I got a little more sleep--then changed the bed sheets--even got to wash the sheets--AND--I walked Lopez--
To stay young at heart, , we must have a plan,--- to do whatever we can, for as long as we can-----so true eh?-----And if we show any signs of caving in, your kids will place you somewhere , where they feel you are safe--like won't fall out of bed--or trip on a rug--They do not realize that everyone can have accidents--trip-or fall down stairs or whatever- " We must do whatever we can for as long as we can!--"show no signs of weakening--"-----
I know winter is knocking at the door here--I keep changing outer wear--from a sweater-=-to a light parka--and the Eskimo Parka is waiting in a closet to come down-=-no snow falling here yet--but the days have become shorter-----The Halloween Decor has been taken down--and the last of the very tiny chocolate bars have been given to Grandkids-----I bought some large chocolate bars but they disappeared quickly--The Halloween Candy here sure had shrunk--very tiny wee bars-- almost not worth opening--
Yes, We really CAN Do Hard things--Right now, I need to work on the clocks in this house--so many clocks here, and they are all chiming different hours of the day-- It will be nice to set each one to the correct time-.Our daughter is going to visit Theresa Caputo---the American psychic---She has a long drive to go to see her, but she is hoping her Dad just might come thru--Do you believe in all that??----But wouldn't it be so fun for her if Theresa really did feel that her Dad was lollying around?--
Lopez and I must "hit the road" here--Did I tell you that yesterday, his leash broke and little Lopez ran like the wind, up the road--AND ACROSS the road--??--I don't know how he avoided being hit by the traffic--I yelled at him--and he did come back--from about a block away from me--so--NOW WE HAVE A NEW LEASH ----
So, here's hoping that you enjoy your day--that your dog does not run away from you--check that tiny clip that should stay closed--I hope today I can get a wee rest in--Life always seems better after a short nap doesn't it?-
Get out there and show The worid YOUR STUFf!
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have sunshine. It's rather dreary here today. We had some rain overnight but I think that's ending.
Oh in your post yesterday, I didn't realize Lopez ran after his leash broke. So glad he came back when you called him. That could have been bad.
I got what little Halloween decorations we had up outside, down too. I wanted to get them put away before the rain hit last night. Next up will be Christmas decorations, which will happen around Thanksgiving. Hubby goes a little crazy with the outside decorations. But, our neighborhood has a contest and they pick the best 3 light displays and those 3 win a monetary prize.
Anyway, have a good day!
Jackie
Rain this evening here--hope it doesn't turn into snow--It certainly was cold to-day--That contest sounds like fun with the Xmas Decorations!---Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm glad you were able to get a new leash for Lopez. Daisy has always been more concerned about where I am than where she can go. Even as a puppy, if I went back in the house to maybe grab a sweater while we were out in the back yard she would be waiting for me at the door when I went back outside. I guess I was lucky with her. When her sister came she would run and we live on a busy road. Now she stays close too. Yes, winter is just around the corner, I can feel it in the air. But we have a nice day today and I want to finish what I need to do outside! My DIL went to a psychic after her mom passed away - the woman was hours away and we watched the boys. She swears that she was able to contact her mom, but I have my doubts. I hope your daughter has a good experience! Have a lovely day today!
ReplyDeleteso glad that Lopez did not get hurt and that he did come back

Oh I was surprised that he ran back to me--WE now have a new leash with --I hope!--a stronger clip--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteVery dreary and chilly here. I used my extra hour to sleep.
I didn't realize, from yesterday's post, that Lopez took off running. Glad he came when called, my goodness. You dont need those kind of adventures.
Hope your daughter hears something that comforts her from T. Caputo show. I went to one of her shows in St.Louis and, honestly, it was boring. It seemed like she put words in people's mouths. Hope Allison has a better experience.
We'll will keep putting one foot in front of the other and trudging along. Stay strong and positive.
Any news when your grief group is to start?
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
Marge--I think the grief group begins early December--like Dec 3rd----close to there--I do need it!--Lynda
DeleteIt's Marti. I had a rough one yesterday, I was missing my ex. And ended up writing him telling him so. I had assumed he was maybe missing me just as much, as he would write, like my Facebook posts, etc., but it turns out no. So I cried and cried. It's most definitely OVER. I hadn't realized that, for him, he's moved on, doesn't miss me, is fine alone. But then, he always was. Me, I'm lonely a lot and really miss him. What prompted it was watching football without him. It's not the same. I miss snuggling with him on the couch and feeling all warm and cozy. And no visits from him. Just lonely. It must feel somewhat like you feel, but at least you have family. I truly see no one. Not to sound all woe is me, but yes, I feel woe is me right now. Think I need to start up with my therapist again, honestly.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it's my most dreaded day, the day after Daylight Savings Time ends. Glad I get to go back to work tomorrow, or I swear I would go commit hari-kari. I suffer from seasonal affective disorder.
No, me personally, I do not believe in psychics. I really don't even believe in heaven, and certainly not hell. I don't believe in spirits, ghosts, or people "hanging around." Perhaps, reincarnation. Me personally, I would not want to go to heaven if there WAS one. It sounds pretty boring, LOL.
Take care. I've rambled on enough.
Marti I did not realize that your "EX" was gone--That must be hard, I agree!-----Yu are a good person-- YU might meet someone else--Never hive up Marti-- Hugs to yu--Lynda-
DeleteSunny here, but rained last night - so I can't cut the grass today (and it really needs it now!). But I have been getting things done inside! I also stripped the bed and washed sheets this morning! Going to mop the kitchen floor as soon as I finish this post to you! I did enjoy some extra sleep this morning - but nobody told my cats that the time changed! LOL! They still wanted to be fed and kept coming in the bedroom to see if they could get me up! I used the extra hour this morning to work on the dreaded insurance inventory....and made some good progress so it is a good day! Lastly, I don't think I put much trust in psychics....feel like it is another scam that is used to rob people of their hard earned money....and boy are there ever a lot of scammers out there....on. the internet, in email, and even telephones! We baby boomers need to be very careful about who we respond to!
ReplyDeleteHey, I changed the bed also--the KING bed----- washed the sheets--Sushi the cat sleeps with me-- Yes I agree those psychics really are a scam--but--Allison thinks her Dad will appear--She misses him so much--They catted everyday--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! It’s high 55 and cloudy in Ohio but I guess for November 2nd it could be worse! Ohh how scary of Lopez! Cheese is the word I taught my dogs! They only got out once and it worked in the driveway. I hope Allison enjoys the show and her dad be near. I took down my Halloween stuff this morning and washed my sheets, too! Enjoy our fave day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSeems we all washed our beds to-day--LOL-- and that extra hour of sleep was so good!--Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon, sis.
ReplyDeleteI have got to check my youtube video on how to set my watch. Have to do it every time. And the car, microwave and stove.
'Becca is putting together the exercise bike. What a job! I am able to help very little.
Yes, Halloween is over. We had very few trick-or-treaters. I have so much candy (little chocolate bars) left over. One bag isn't even open.
I have not had one piec.
I am happy you found a new leash for Lopez. Those things must wear out from use.
I took my 2 wheel-less friends shopping today. That took an hour and a half.
After 'Becca is done I need to vacuum and take this huge box down to the garbage/recycling. The styrofoam stuff is not recyclable.
I'll be back later to see how your day went, Lynda. Hope it will be good news. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--It's always good news when we get thru another day--and Lisa and Andrew are bringing me supper as I was sorta feeling awful from that RSV shot--3 shots they gave me--Covid, Flu and RSV---- too many at once I guess--Lynda
DeleteOMG, since I’ve broken my hip in July that has been absolutely necessary . . . show no weakness. I am perfectly capable of doing most of the things needed each day. And those I can’t, I have help for.
ReplyDeleteI think that is very exciting that your DD is going to see Theresa Caputo. Used to watch her on TV. She’s legit. Hope she can connect w/Fred.
Oh no that Lopez’s leash broke! HOPE this one is sturdier. Seems the wee dogs (our Miss Lilly is 10) can be very good @ being Houdini’s when they have the opportunity.
Cold here, but not bad considering it’s November.
Stay warm!

Yes that darn leash just let him go--wonder he wasn't hit by a car-Hopefully it never happens again--Lynda-
