Lopez and I are up--and "at-er --well, sorta!_ "----Yesterday I managed to clean the snow off the back deck and carried and pushed and shoved the outdoor furniture into the shed-It just fit in there like a puzzle. Good thing I do not have too many of those huge heavy outdoor chairs--then I blew leaves ---There are way too many tall old trees hanging over this yard!---They need to be trimmed which doesn't seem to happen--
Well, do you know-- I have been trying to move Heaven and Earth--to read your comments , everyday--I appreciate hearing from you-- It makes me feel not so alone--I really should not feel alone--(but--I live alone--well--sorta-)-Sushi and Lopez are here--but--they talk very little.
I am so fortunate to have Son#1 and his wife--and child--and I was out there last night again--and again they asked me to stay for supper--AND I DID!---- I try to bring some food every time I go, to help out with the meal--Sometimes it's only ice cream--sometimes Chinese Food--Last night it was Tim Hortons donuts--And , I drove back home in the dark---with my headlights now on automatic dimmer-- (The Dealer at the car place did that for me)-----So--I do appreciate all the help I can get--
-still very dark here outside
One gets tired when one lives alone--Do you live alone??-- Do you find that each day passes so quickly? Seems like I am always racing here with the clock--Before I realize it, it is mid afternoon----(nap time)--plus, I have 2 calenders stuck on various places around the house here to remind me of appointments coming up--This AM I am having breakfast with a friend--AND----this weekend Allison goes to see Theresa, the Lady who sees people who have passed--I wonder how that will turn out?--- Above--Lopez in his new million dollar parka--easy to put on him--or---visit -------
So, get going--- a new day-=--and here we are--a part of it!!!
Good morning, Lynda! It is cold and cloudy with some rain soon in Ohio. I hope the weather holds out for Allison. Cold and rainy this weekend with snow on Monday. So nice you can go eat with your son and his family. Yay for the car lights to be on auto now. Good for you going to breakfast with a friend. Celebrate your hard work with getting the lawn furniture put away. I know Sushi and Lopez don’t talk much but my yorkie brats talk way too much, well, TOO loud! LOL! Hope you have a fabulous Friday! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteYes, determination is important. Determined to get stuff done, to enjoy our day. And our relationships with family, friends and nature, including out pets are the best!
Good for you going to your son's house for a meal. And today...a meal with a friend. Wonderful.
Lopez is adorable in his parka. It looks like 'down' or a down alternative.
You did a great job on your chores yesterday. I bet you slept well!
We have a beautiful sky today...a mix of blue and clouds. It's 7 degrees over freezing.
I'm going to the DMV to get a copy of my car's title. I had to make an appointment for the refinancing cuz I didn't have it. I go in Monday morning at 11:00 AM.
When I get back, I must work on the bike. The screen with it's info on speed, distance and heart beat must be incorrect as it's not showing anything. Sigh. This stuff used to be so easy for me!
I'll be back to check things out here again before bed. Have a great day, Lynda! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good Friday Morning,
ReplyDeleteIt's rainy and dreary here this morning. The rain should knock down some more of the leaves though.
Well, that's good that you got to have dinner with Son#1 so you aren't eating by yourself.
Enjoy your breakfast with your friend!

Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I have some good news! I had my injection yesterday and while it hurt something fierce it seems to have helped. Yesterday afternoon I didn't think anything was much different but I woke up at 2 am and found I could walk without pain! AND we just got back from a Costco shop which I have always disliked, but it wasn't too bad today. I was still walking pretty good. So just maybe there is hope for me! I'm glad you were able to have dinner with Son #1 and his family again. I know I wouldn't like to eat alone every day. When my husband has gone out of town (not for years now) I would come home from work and just have whatever I could heat up quickly. Or I'd stop at Target and get some kind of salad already made! I hope you have a good day. My activity is done for today and now I can rest!
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting Lopez out, getting some snow cleared, and getting the outdoor furniture into the storage shed. You did it!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely that you ad supper w/Som #1 and your DIL. Makes life a lot ,ore pleasant.
I HOPE Allison has good luck w/meeting Theresa.
Lopez looks all snug and warm in his parka! Lucky boy to have such war, clothes.
Wishing you a bright and shining FriYaY

Living alone, eating alone, all are no fun.....but we usually don't have a choice once we are widowed....I hate that word - widow- don't you? I cringed the first time I had to put it down on paper for something! But fur babies do help....even if they are spoiled rotten (speaking of my two cats)! They had their annual check up yesterday...boy do I ever hate trying to get them in their crates! And they are big cats! One weighs 15 pounds and the other weighs 20 pounds, but both got good reports and are healthy 5 1/2 year olds....and they both got distemper shots.....other shots weren't due this year! Whew. What an ordeal - oh and did I mention, they hate riding in the car???? But they are worth the hassle! Even though I don't like to admit it!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Lynda. We had excitement today. Our new Goodwill store that they have been working on ALL summer finally opened. I take an interest, because we will be moving into the same building at the end of December or early January. Our section (online shopping, think eBay) will be behind the scenes, thank goodness. I am NOT a people person. I like people "watching," though. So I went after work today, and yes, a lot of people were shopping. The new store looks LOVELY, AND very organized. Hope it stays that way! Wish I could show you. I put pics up on my Facebook page, but we are not friends there. They had a Schmidt's Sausage truck outside, and I took a Bahama Mama w/sauerkraut and some german potato salad home with me.

Whoops, I didn't comment on anything to do with you. Good for you getting all that done, by yourself! And having company to eat your food with! Sounds like you are all ready for the dreaded WINTER! You can just sit and chill in front of your fireplace and relax, now! :)
