Good Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteThat is frustrating when you order the wrong amount of something or order the wrong thing. I have done that too.
Just a suggestion, but maybe you could donate some of them to a shelter, or a charity. I am sure there is need for that.
Or you could return some of them to Amazon if that's an item they let you return. Just a couple of options.
We had snow yesterday too and it was COLD!. Going to warm up today though and be warmer through the end of the week.
Hope all goes well with your grief session.
Take a breath and hang in there. It will be a good day!
Hugs,
Jackie
Jackie-- good suggestions but I certainly swill not order from Amazon for a long time--very cold to-day--- and that Grieving course was very good--Lynda--It helped me a lot!
DeleteSnow . . . tis the season, eh!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and safe travels going to your Bereavement Session and your other chores. It’s all challenging when dealing w/snow.
Oh my goodness! That is why I am very careful to do ONE TIME ORDERS vs. signing up for ongoing orders. YIKES!
Hope the day gets better.
hugs and blessings

never again Barb will I ever order stuff like thAt again--IF I even ORDER--It took hours to chop up the boxes and store the pads--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteI often make mistakes ordering from Amazon or online at Walmart or a grocery store. I ordered recently from ebay and that went well. And sometimes it's the people on the other end making a mistake. And that brings the necessity for a call to customer service. Frustrating.
I like the idea of returning or donating all those pads. At least the ones you won't need to keep. Use the ones that fell out of the boxes to dust your furniture!😊
I have to call my insurance company today to give them the new lien holder and try to correct an undelivered (but they say it was) order from PetSmart.
It's always something, isn't it?
How did it go yesterday for your appointment for your lesion?
I'll be back later to check. Be careful on your walk with Lopez! We don't need you falling. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
He cut the lesion out--Now I do not think I can wash ,my hair till that heals--The Grievement Course was very good--glad I went--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteYour Amazon story made me laugh...but not the part about the broken box. Glad you got it straightened out and in your house.
Be careful walking Lopez and going out with car. Im glad the grief support is finally starting.
Warming up again in St.Louis. im not a fan of winter.
I gotta get Sadie in gear. Chiropractor, food shopping, gas in car and haircut later.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs
Marge
Oh Marge what a stupid mistake eh?--Took forever to cut up those boxes--think I might even forget AMAZON_-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Sorry about the wrong order. I order most things from Amazon (and my husband has to dispose of the boxes which he hates) but I have learned to look very carefully before I hit send, because I have made a mistake a time or two. It's been so hard for me to actually go shopping in the past 4 years since the first back surgery. Yesterday we went to Bemidji for our DIL's 50th birthday and actually had a very nice time - but 4 hours there and 4 hours home was tiring! Have a good day. Hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy---Well it certainly was a huge mistake-=-= and trying to figure out where to store those ads in this tiny house was interesting--LOL--Lynda
DeleteLord love a duck, Lynda! Sorry that happened but easy to do. Put them in the spare bedroom. Sunny and a bit warmer in Ohio. Thank goodness. Stay warm! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhatta mess eh?_- Yeah I packed them away but it took a lot of time--and the boxes were huge!--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, sorry to hear about the Amazon order mistake. If you haven't already opened all of the boxes, Amazon is very good about returns. Maybe your son could come over and help you. Here I just go to my account, click on the order and check return. After I give a reason, they send me an email with the info and I go to the UPS store and they handle it from there. Not sure how it works in Canada.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Oh Maureen in Lakefield it was easy to return stuff to Amazon--I dunno how to return things from here-- a huge mess eh?-Lynda
DeleteI agree with several of the others who suggested returning the extra pads to Amazon....they will accept them if you just say "ordered by mistake". You go to your orders and then click on what you want to return. Then they want to know where you will be bringing your returns. You might have a problem if they have to be returned in the original boxes. They have specific places where they like you to return stuff...and sometimes you don't need the boxes.....but if you think you will be able to use them and have room to store them, then all is good! :-). I hate it when things like that happen....just like when the furniture company had to take my new furniture that I ordered back to the store because they would not go down the 90 degree turns on my landing to the basement. Sigh. Such a disappointment...but life goes on and I have purchased a different couch and loveseat that they will deliver this week-end. I am desperate to get furniture for the basement as I will have 17 people here for Thanksgiving dinner and the grandkids all love to congregate and hang out down there! Giving the my kids and their spouses and me more room to visit and enjoy the holiday! I hardly ever cook anymore, but I absolutely love fixing the big dinners here as it brings all my family together! And I am so happy to be back in the way to big house....but my cats and I are loving it!
ReplyDeleteI now Sandra--a huge mistake--Hope I never make it again--just takes time to return it all--I hope all your family make it there over the holiday--sounds like they will--Hugs, Lynda
DeleteSorry, Lynda, but that is hilarious! I can imagine all the pads just strewn everywhere! That must have been quite the sight! I am sorry it happened to YOU, though. I have the Amazon app on my smartphone. I just go in there, do like everyone said and say "returning," and then when I pop in the UPS store they scan the code and take anything back that I'm returning. Then I get issued the money back to my debit card! Really easy! Don't give up on Amazon, it wasn't THEIR fault, after all. Just check and make sure you check the right box first, or have someone look over your shoulder before you place your order, like one of your children. I have to help my next door neighbor order things online all the time, and she's 87 and just not very techy. I had a (late) neighbor who was 90 and she was pretty good about computer stuff, but I helped her place her grocery order every week and then they would deliver it. I sure do miss her, she's been gone almost 2 years now. She was like a second mother.
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad your bereavement class started, and I knew it would be a huge help! I'm considering going back to counseling to deal with the loss of my ex. 8 YEARS we dated. I kept thinking he'd somehow "get it together" and amount to something, but unfortunately, he's just an overgrown child. I ended up just being sick and tired of that.
It warmed up here today, to 53 degrees, but that stiff wind, it still felt VERY cold out when I was dog walking.
I had an eye appt today after work - a diabetic eye exam. He said everything looked the same, and every year I am able to get new glasses, so this year I chose a pair of light blue plastic frames with bifocals, I'll see if I can deal with them. I've tried bifocals before, the kind without the line across, but they made me dizzy. I only really need them for watching tv or driving after dark.
Well, I hope you have a nice, calm day tomorrow after all of that! My goodness! :)
Marti
OK, and if you don't want to return them, I would bet that a senior center would welcome a donation in kind. This is not an unusual need for people "in our age group".
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing Lopez in his parka, and you in yours, taking care of what needs taken care of!
OH my Stars I have done that I was able to return it and get a refund but oh the embarrassment of having to explain what I did I do like the Idea of donating some but if you could use them just do that
