Good Morning--almost 7am here--dark--minus 3 C--
Lopez and I are up--- had to come down here , about an hour ago and get the fire on--"STOKE" the fire, as Dad used to say-You remember, when he is in Britain, he usually gets a train, and goes to visit his wife's brother , and the brother's wife------and they usually BBQ --or go out to eat-- He said they cooked fries last night--
I hear the wash machine here, chugging away in the kitchen--
OH, I must tell you, I bought a few packs of those soap cloths--Amazon was selling them. Do you use them? Do you like them??--I know Miss Maggie had sent me some when we lived in Lakefield--a lot lighter to carry home than a huge box of detergent-
-When I look in the mirror I am seeing an "older" Lady-- Maybe it's my hair--definitely not combed yet--or coloured like it used to be--Somehow it doesn't seem as important as it used to feel--The grey/white is shining thru--
So, are you feeling beautiful this AM?A few "blasts from the past" might help me remember life as it used to be--Whatcha think?--
always--lotza dogs Son #2 with his daughter--who is now finished UniversitySon#4 with Son #2's daughter beside him and our daughters children in front--
so-- the wash is done--- very dark here still--How are you feeling?--- Ready to face the day?--= Happy??--going to exercise?--- My Himself did not exercise very much--but---- HE ATE ONLY HEALTHY FOODS---( much better than me)--and he lived to be-96----almost 97--That must tell us something eh?---
It feels so good to get up and get things done in the mornings I enjoy the quiet time love the photos from the past

DeleteGood Monday Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here today too but supposed to make to 60. We'll see.
It's dark until 8 am but that will change next Sunday with the time change. Then it will be light early in the morning and dark by 6pm. I am not ready for that.
Sounds like you were up and getting stuff done this AM. Me too and today is grocery shopping day for me.
Have a good one!
Jackie
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteIt is getting light later in the morning. It was almost pitch black when I got out of bed, too. Temp is 41F, though, and the sky is beautiful.
Lots of dogs! I love it...and the photo. I don't ever want to live with at least one pet!
I will look forward to food photos. They usually make me feel hungry.
Those grandkids do grow up, don't they? We have to cherish the memories.
I got tons of laundry done yesterday. Now I just have a load of sheets and a couple of strays that didn't get in yesterday.
Yes, Lynda, I still use the Blue Water laundry sheets. I see they are finally selling one brand in one of my local stores.
I need to clean Lucky's feeding station today and my stove hood vent. I have an order to pick up from Walmart.
I hope you and Lopez stay warm on your walk. Remember the petroleum jelly on his paw pads to protect them.
I like my multi-colored hair, too. Reddish dark brown with white/gray scattered throughout...just a bit.
Back later, dear. Enjoy your day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good morning Lynda, I had no idea that you and Fred once owned a Doberman. They are very protective. I hope you have an enjoyable week.
ReplyDeleteDo children come around in the neighborhood for trick or treating? It doesn't happen in my neighborhood anymore. I think parents take their children to the Malls, or schools and Churches offer Trunk or Treat. They decorate the car and have the trunk open with Halloween candy. Seems a safer way of doing it.

It's Marti. I'm feeling kind of sad. My body, especially my back, legs and hips have been hurting a lot, and I took the week off, last week. Since I only work part time I don't get paid sick leave or vacation. My workplace told me I had to have a doctor's letter in order to go back. I called them Friday and they said they wouldn't give me one, and when I told the workplace they said then they'd have to file disciplinary action. I don't want that, so I made an appt with him for tomorrow. I hope he'll write a letter. It's very depressing, though, when one hurts all over and doesn't really know why, unless it's just arthritis. I'm only 67 and don't want to go on living if I'm going to hurt for the rest of my life.

It's Kathy. We had a good day yesterday. The grandson who was being confirmed was my husband's son's son. We don't get to see them very often so it was especially nice to be invited back to their home after the confirmation for lunch. And it was late afternoon by the time we ate so I didn't have to make any dinner last night. A total win. But all that activity was hard on my body and I'm experiencing a lot of pain today. But I can take it pretty easy all day so that's good. Only 10 more days until I can have that injection. And it's a very nice day here today - rain coming probably tomorrow! Love the photos! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried the soap cloths... let us know how you like them! I did try the "reusable paper towel" which probably would have worked better if Ember were not a member of my household!
ReplyDeleteWeather is misty here, but not too cold. 50's F. I got out and bought shoes today. Ember is in day care which is unusual for a Monday, but the electric company and the electricians are going to be working on the house tomorrow, and there will be no power, so if I'm to get the vacuuming done, it has to be today!
Hope both our Mondays end up "just fine"!
Hi Lynda
ReplyDeleteHope your Monday is good.
50s here and dreary.
I prefer Tide pods to the washer sheets. Glad you like the sheets....sure not heavy.
Enjoy Today.
Marge
I love the soap cloths. They are much easier on a washer than the liquid. Less residue. I ordered mine from Amazon, too . . . and lavender scented! Fancy schmancy.
ReplyDeleteLove the blasts from the past! Lovely memories. And safe travels back to Canada for your son #2.
Sunny day, but cool here. No complaints. At least no snow. That’s a win.
HUGS and stay brave!
