"Courage is going on when yu don't have the strength"

Good morning--  It is cold here--  raining also--and, Lopez and I have NOT been out yet--Poor little fellow--will have to walk in the rain, whenever we do get out----

So, how are you all this morning??--I hope you are "happy"----"Let go with what you cannot change"--a good idea--doncha  think?--

So, yesterday I decided to look thru  everything in the spare bedroom--the last room to unpack--and it is full of anything and everything I did not know where to put--so, it was thrown in there--and there was a suit case, unpacked--- looked like it had laundry in it--so, I opened it, took out all sorts of stuff--  put most of it in the wash machine, -and low and behold--there was my Birthday Book --the wee book my Dad had given me on my 8th Birthday--It does look old doesn't it???

Plus there was a lot of laundry--which is now washed and hanging in the bathroom--So, the "lost is found"--as Mom used to say--I was so happy to find my Birthday Book--
A few blasts from the past--Below---Son#2 and daughter , long ago--with Fred--out to eat--

Fred with Son#2, 3 and 4--
A Beach out in Nova Scotia--Along the ocean--

Grand children--all now in University--
So I must get busy here--take out wee Lopez and then  work in that spare bedroom--and remember, that I AM STRONG__that maybe Fred is  near me--hovering over me--or--having a fit over all the cash sliding thru my hands--I keep telling him that I really do need "this and that""--and do not get upset--  LOL---(but I know he does)---
I guess I must just carry on---  Does one ever get over the sadness of someone dying--  I do not think so--  so so hard! I wish he could talk to me----

  1. Good morning, sis.
You found your beloved birthday book! Wonderful. It may have been Fred who led you to it, you know. When a thought to do something, go somewhere, etc. comes to you...it may be Fred urging you on.
It's a beautiful sunny day here. It's 51F now and due to get up to only 62F. No rain predicted today.
Love your photos as always. You have lots of granddaughters. Any grandsons?
I'm determined to get at least one load of laundry done today, too. If the machine that works is busy, I'll just wait until it's done and then grab it.
I'm determined not to miss karaoke tonight, too. Music is so important. I have it on all the time unless I have a Law of Attraction video on.
Enjoy your CATURDAY, Lynda...now that you can see if you missed any birthdays. I have my eldest granddaughter having her 19th in 3 weeks. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Hi Lynda
Glad your BD book showed up. You've definitely had it for a while. LOL
What are you wanting to buy? Fred is maybe asking where will you put it? Lol
Any additional information about the grief group? You do know other widows there and it might be nice to get several together to do something. Have you had a chance to check out any aquatic classes? You'd enjoy that as you used to teach it. Does the Lodge or a travel agency offer any bus trips? An outing would be fun.
Stay positive and strong. Gotta get out there and mingle...it will lift your spirits.
Rain predicted today. We desperately need it as we're in severe drought conditions.
    Have a good one!
    Hugs
    Marge/St.Louis

  3. Morning Lynda,
Oh what a treasure in finding your birthday book from your father. So cool!
Sounds like you have the weather we are supposed to get tomorrow. They are calling for gusty winds and rain. A good day to stay inside.
I hope you are able to get Lopez out for his walk in between the rain.
Crossing my fingers you will find your address book and whatever you haven't found yet in your spare bedroom.
    Have a good day!

  5. It's Kathy. Yes, courage is going on when you don't have the strength! And that is exactly what we need to do! Today is cleaning day at my house and right now it's so hard for me to clean. But I let it go an additional week so it has to be done! At least it's going to be another nice day and maybe Daisy and I can get outside later and enjoy the sunshine. Have a good day.

  6. Hi Lynda! It is lovely and 77 in Ohio! I went to the last Amish Market of the season. I will miss it terribly. Buying produce at the store is awful after having the market all Summer! Yay for the birthday book! I know each day will get better and your grief counseling will help. My sister lost her son this week. He was only 24. The three girls are just having such a hard time. I got an iced lavender latte out and enjoying it very much. The squirrels are burying nuts in my pots on the deck. They are squeezing under my vinyl fence. Need to go blow the dirt off. Crazy rascals. Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  8. Glad you found your book, and started on the spare bedroom. As for grief, no, you don’t get over it. It does get easier to bear. We miss all these folks we have loved and cared about. Take care. Susan/ Colorado.

  9. Poured here this morning, too. Miss Lilly did not want to have anything to do with going out for her business. Had to wait til the rain stopped.

SOOOO glad you found your Birthday Book. It was meant to be!

LOVE your blast from the past photos. so many precious memories.

((((HUGS)))) I think Fred is very proud of how you’re doing. I think he knows how difficult it has been to make some of the decisions you’ve made. So . . . he is looking out for you and is a source of strength!

    hugs and blessings

  10. Hope you had a courageous day, Lynda! I did something unusual myself. Went to a "No Kings" rally here in town in the middle of the "lower 48".

We didn't get rain here, but the automatic sprinklers got reset by the electrician who was here on Thursday and they watered today, when they were not supposed to, so I had to reprogram them. Whew. Three days to "get it right". This getting older has its drawbacks! Fortunately, reading directions still works when you finally decide you need to do it! LOL!
