I'm up! I'm up!

        Saturday--September 11th--6-22am--  dark outside---and sorta cold---quite  cold--8 degrees  cloudy--

--just up----  feeding the cat--and the dog---checking on Son #2 also--who is winging his way back to Canada , from Brazil-------So--I shall return--  give me 20 minutes here----        -and -I shall return-!

So---I believe Son#2's 'plane has landed--in Ottawa--  Funny, coz my niece just landed there too, from Rome I think--Too bad they don't know each other--2 strangers , passing in the night--AND THEY ARE COUSINS-----

So Sushi is fed--also Lopez, who I see is "Hoarding" his food--He has it under his blanket and every time I walk by, he looks at me like, it is his big secret-- Chihuahuas seem to hoard  food--toys-- any of their treasures--

It is still very dark outside here ----almost 7-30am--  One can tell that winter is coming-- short days--long dark short days--

I found a couple of "blasts from the past" photos--They are always fun to see---

This is one of the beaches in town--about the time Fred and I moved here--  You can see how we all loved this beach which we called "the New Beach"--
And below, is Son#2's daughter, (finished University now)----who is holding Son#3's daughter--who is now in her 2nd yr University--
Where does the time go?

Himself was so proud of these children---
I do miss him so much--Does it ever get easier???

Anyway, I must get these animals outside--

Thanksgiving Weekend  coming up, in Canada--  So much to be thankful for isn't there?--

We are strong-have to be-- no choice in the matter--
It really is about. being better than you were yesterday--
Isn't that so true--  ?-
-So get up and get at-er--

  2. Good morning, sis.
It's beautiful here today...but cold! Brrr...
Didn't check this morning for replies on yesterday's blog, but there haven't been any for days. I sometimes wonder why we should answer your questions...as it seems you don't read them. I know you are busy...but.
Wonder if you've started the grief sessions yet. I don't know if you ever completely get over that emotion. It should get easier to focus on other things, though.
I am determined to go to karaoke tonight. Haven't been for several weeks again and my favorite deejay is there tonight.
That beach is beautiful! There's lots of people enjoying it. Makes me think of warm/hot weather again and the beaches here in Minnesota.
I'm not looking forward to snow and ice. You might have it easier this year, however.
On to other things...I'll check for replies later, as usual. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Good Morning,
It's been a little chilly here in the morning as well. But the sun is out now and the high is expected to be 70. I don't mind winter, I like the snow, but I am not looking forward to it being dark by 6 pm.
Thanks for sharing the pics, very nice!
Have a warm and wonderful Saturday!

  4. Good morning, Lynda! Your blog says September 11. I am happy to see someone not knowing what day it is like me! LOL! My husband was on vacation this week for our anniversary and I am way off track! It looks like September in Ohio with green trees. Glad the pilot has returned. Ahh the littke girls are too cute! Yes, my yorkies hide toys and all sorts of things. Not as much as our first one we lost a few years ago. Hope you have a lovely day! I don’t like it getting dark early! Hugs!

  5. It's Kathy. Love the photos. Yes, winter is coming and so quickly. I feel like a few days ago I turned lights on about 8:30 pm and last night it was just 7:00 pm. So much less daylight! But we still have warm days which I really appreciate! Possibly storms coming tomorrow! Have a wonderful day!

  6. Marti here. Watching Ohio State football. It's halftime, LOL. I despise when we turn the clocks back, triggers my SAD depression, but I really don't have it anymore now that I work - in a windowless warehouse.

    Enjoy your day! :)

  7. Hi Lynda
Chilly in the mornings now. We had a bit of fog this morning. I don't like that it gets dark early and soon we'll change clocks and it will seem dark all the time. I hate winter. We get ice storms frequently. Ugh
Glad pilot is back. Great pictures.
So are you baking or buying the pumpkin pies?
    Have a great day.

  8. Safe flight back to son #2/ He’ll face much different weather there in Canada than in Brazil!

Yes, not liking shorter days and colder weather. BUT at least . . . no snow . . . at least for now.

Of course, you’ll continue to miss Fred, but you remember more of the good times and a little less of the sadness as time goes on.

Love the blast from the past! Fun to have those to let us remember good times!

hugs and blessings and stay warm!
