Lopez and I are back from our walk--and yes, he did his business--
Do you believe that "YOU" are special?----Imagine everything you do in a day--You look after your family--which might be a dog --or a cat--You keep your home clean--probably "pick up" after people who live with you--You plan the meals-- You shop for the meals---You do the banking--probably the gardening-(-just listing some of your chores makes me tired. )---- No wonder you go to bed "pooped out"!-You really are special!
Last night I attended a concert here in town--It was part of the "concert series"---Son#1 and his wife picked me up--and sat with me--- The band was loud and good---happy songs they played, like "Yellow Brick Road"---It was upbeat and fun --- and I loved it-- It was about 4 hours of fun, happy, music----
-I had left Lopez here alone , for several hours and he survived, but I could tell by how he acted when I got home finally, that he had missed me---was very upset when he could not see me--You see I "crate" him at night--right beside my bed-- but I place his crate on a chest, so it is the same level as my bed--It was a lomg concert , so, to a Chihuahua, it was VERY LONG--to be left alone at home.
But, WE CAN DO HARD STUFF---right?---If we need to go to a concert, we make sure the animals are settled at home--It's what "we" do!--Right?--WE LOOK AFTER PEOPLE!- -and pets--
Good Friday Morning,
ReplyDeleteOh that's so nice you got to go and enjoy the concert and your Son and daughter in law also went.
Just a thought, maybe you could leave a radio with soft music or the TV on for Lopez. The sound might be soothing to him while you are gone. That way he won't feel like he is alone.
And I have to say by Friday I am wiped out from cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc and am so ready to sleep in a bit on Saturday, not that I sleep in very late. But it's nice to know I can. lol.
Have a wonderful day, Lynda!
Hugs,
Jackie
Hi Jackie--Nice ideas--I do leave the TV on--but --its not in Spanish--and his name is Lopez--understands Spanish quite-well--but--I shall trey the TV even tho its not in his language--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis. It's almost noon here.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed your concert and time with your kids. Music does raise us up!
I listen to my country station all day until meditation time. Music (and camaraderie) is why I go to karaoke, too.
I've already been out and about. Took 'Becca to the bank, etc and picked up an order from Walmart.
Now Lucky and I have just had lunch. He thinks it's snooze time.
Oh! The hotel sent me back the cane I left there! That came today, too.
Cheers, Lynda. Listen to music, take a wee nap and think happy thoughts!
I'll check back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Happy thoughts are the very best--a rainy overcast day here to-day--I kept busy tho--so that helps-Happy yu got yer cane back---was alone all day but I seem to be handling it OK_-Lynda
DeleteHey Lynda! You seem happier today, or trying to be! I am glad! I worked hard at work all day, did overtime, and yep, I'm pooped. Ordering a pizza and a salad for delivery and then the evening is mine to do whatever I want!
ReplyDeleteMarti
that evening sounds great!--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda; I agree with the above - you sound happier today. That's good. Have you started your grief sessions yet? My dog is also crated at night but in another room - bedroom not big enough! Play your piano tonight to feel good longer. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeletealways trying to be happy--but-- I really was happier before--LOL--oh Brenda-- but--it is the way it is--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you enjoyed your outing.
Lopez is fine in crate. A radio on might help him but I'm 99.9% certain he sleeps when your gone. He probably sleeps when you are home with him lol. People go to work and pets are home alone all day. I am glad you enjoyed event.
Yes, take time to sing, dance and play your piano.
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
Yu are so right--People do go to work and leave their dogs at home-- True!-Yu are good to remind me!--Lynda
DeleteYes, for sure I am tired by the end of the day being caregiver for DH and still rehabbing my hip as well.
ReplyDeleteGlad your DS and his wife picked you up for the concert! And I am sure Lopez missed you.
Oh, I didn’t know Lopez understood Spanish! It is a good idea to keep TV or radio on if you can find a station that would suit him.
Hugs and blessings
