my family--- me on the far rt--- The far "North"---trees--lakes-clean air-
and-- Fred and I--- tipped to the side-- but--it is still us--
The Car is at the Dealers--The snow tires are going on--plus an oil change--so it will be there most of the morning--The sky was so beautiful, when I drove in--Pink in a corner of it--behind a huge mountain -- I cannot get over how beautiful Elliot Lake is--with the huge hills--kinda like mountains--and all the trees--and then there are the lakes--so many lakes--and such great people--kind--like us--live here---
A Lady working in there, at the car dealers, drove me home , and Lopez ment me at the front door--She will come and get me around noon I think--meanwhile, we have a wet cold rain falling--
So, the wash is done--the bed made--Sushi on it--she comes downstairs here in the night-- Sometimes I meet her in the kitchen at night--The stairway between the 2 levels of this tiny house--

I hope that you are feeling strong--ready to face anything , to-day--
Below are some pictures of this area--
"Below--"
Springtime here--
Fall-with all the colou
r
Living on the lake was always beautiful--
below---- all of us---
I just picked up the car-- They are storing the summer tires for me--so kind of them--
I'm telling you, moving back here--home to me--has been the best move in the world!
Everyone is so very kind--
I really am fortunate to know people here-- They all knew my husband--respected him--and me also--so, treat me with respect--There are times I wonder how on earth I ever did 2 moves--so close together--and then someone goes above and beyond the call of duty--and I think--"That is why I moved back here to the North Country--to the lakes--the trees--the hills--and the very kind people--"
And I was driving home just now, in the hard rain, and I hear the song, "Montego Bay" on the radio-his favourite song---
Now do you think that was just a fluke--or--could it have been Fred telling me he was near???
Now what do YOU think?
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have accomplished lots already.
It's good you are getting your car winterized early. You beat the snow. Nice that you have someone to take you home and pick you up today, too.
I will redress my bed today, too...I have a new 'modern' mattress. Today the accesory set will come...sheet set, mattress cover, etc.
Love the photos of your beautiful area.
Minnesota has well over the 10000 lakes the motto says, too. And bllions of beautiful trees. How I love them. At least half the leaves have fallen already.
I also have a new recumbent exercise bike and cat stairs to assemble. I believe 'Becca will help me if I need it.
On to what the day has to offer. You enjoy yours, Lynda! {{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Yes "YOU" enjoy yer day---I think Minnesota would be like this area--Yer bike sounds wonderful!--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, you're definitely on top of things this morning. Good for you. Your area in Elliott Lake is post card perfect. I hope your day continues to go well. What's happened to the Bereavement Group meeting? You were interviewed, accepted, but you haven't mentioned attending a meeting.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
No Maureen--That Bereavement group starts next month --=and goes into December--I think it will help--I really liked the Lady leading it--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I absolutely think that was Fred letting you know that his spirit will always be with you! I'm glad you are home and the people are treating you with respect. How nice of the lady who works at the garage to take you home and pick you up again so you didn't have to wait. And to store your tires for you! Nothing like that ever happens in my neighborhood! Love the photos too. We also have rain, wind and it's pretty chilly out. No frost yet but it's coming. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! Beautiful in Ohio today. Your town is lovely! I see why you love it and kind people there. The song was Fred. He is with you. Enjoy your evening. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFunny-- Seems like that song was Fred-- doesn't it??--Lynda
DeleteI am so glad to hear that you are feeling "at home" as your heart told you you would! Your day sounds somewhat like mine, except my wash is still "in the wash", and I haven't yet made the appointment for the car to get "winterized"... but lo, it is that time of year!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a good mid-week!
Awww, love the photos. Wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with the snow tire placement and the oil change. So good to take good care of your car. Nice you got a ride home and will be picked up to get the car from the dealership.
Long morning. DH required an MRI that took 2 hrs. !
You sound MUCH happier in Lake Elliot. I am so happy for you.
OHhhhh I think Fred was letting you know he’s happy to see you back home! No coincidence!
HUGS and enjoy the day.

a quote for today

Pope Paul VI
Great quote--and yes the colours here right now are so so petty!--Lynda
DeleteReally nice pictures, Lynda. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteNo, I think that song played for a reason. I think he was telling you all will be ok and that he is with you.
And yes, I think moving back where you have friends and are familiar with the area was the right move.
Jackie
Jackie it did seem so odd that his song came on the radio--He ewas from Montego Bay-=-well, Lucea--near there-Lynda
