No memory of having starred atones for later disregard, or keeps the end from being hard.

Yes, She is using the new box but--she still skites litter all, over thev place--Lynda
DeleteLove the bow on the door! Simple but pretty and cheery!
ReplyDeleteHolidays will be hard but also full of good memories.
Well the bow was a lot cheaper than the beautiful wreath--LOL--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! Glad you got lots done yesterday and a clean, decorated house. How nice! Tell Lopez to leave that extension cord alone! That park looks lovely and the coffee! Of couse, he found McDonald’s. Good for him! Hope Sushi will use her new litter box. It is cold and light rain in Ohio. I was taking my nephew out today but as my husband left for work he thinks the roads are too slick. We may just prep for Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOur roads were quite icey this AM---- snowy also--Lynda
DeleteOh how great it must feel to have your house "spick and span"! I will my own housecleaner today as I have 17 coming for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at noon! I have been doing little things all week, and just basically have to do the floors and pick up the clutter that seems to accumulate around me! Love your little tree and bright red bow on the door. Festive! A trick I found to get my cats to get used to a new litter box is to leave both out for a couple of days....the new one with lots of litter, but only a light layer in the old one. And I don't clean it entirely - just scooping out some. They eventually transition over to the new because they like the clean box with more litter! Now I have gone big time - and have a Litter Robot that cleans itself! What a miracle! But I used the same method to train them to use the robot! The things we do to make life easier as we age! (Thinking I could have hired housecleaners if I hadn't spent all my money on the Litter Robot! LOL! Love the" Words I wish I had Written" that you have been posting lately each day!
ReplyDeleteOh thank yu Sandra-- I didn't know if all of you would like the "Words I wish I had written"--but I kinda enjoy them also--Thank yu for letting me know---How did your dinner go??--You b
Deleteput a lot of work into that--so nice!!Lynda
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteYour little tree and bow are both great Christmas decorations.
And your son's photos are, too.
You got lots done yesterday while your 'maids' were there. Of course, they were right about Lopez. They have probably experienced similar at the homes of their other clients.
WE GOT SNOW...finally. Not lots...an inch of snow. It's still coming down, though. The 'cities' (Minneapolis and Saint Paul) got lots more than we did. It's only 26F now and cloudy.
I go to my daughter's tomorrow for Thanksgiving. It will take longer to get there with the bad weather.
Off now for garbage/recyclables, move the seat on my new bike, etc.
I'll send a couple photos to your email. For some reason they don't allow us to add photos, or even emojis, on our comments.
I'll be back later, Lynda. Hope your day today is as good as yesterday was. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, it's Kathy. Love your decorations. I want to get my small tree up this weekend but I know my husband (who is NOT a fan of Christmas anything) will complain about having to move everything to get to the Christmas stuff. I haven't decorated for at least the last 2 years because of all the back pain and surgeries. We'll see. We had quite the snowstorm last night - not so much snow but very windy. We're off this afternoon for me to see the Pain Management doctor - I hope she can help. I'm better but some days the pain is kind of bad and more often than not I have to sit on the heating pad during the night. Wishing you a very good day today!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope the pain management people help you--Kathy--Pain is terrible--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteHow great...clean house. Lucky you.
Your tree and bow are pretty. Are you done buying lol. Hope you have a storage spot for tree.
Sons park looks pretty. Warm sounds nice. Soon he'll be at your house. Yay
Great inserts.
Sushi WILL use new box. Keep both for a bit but put more liter in new box.
Lopez is FINE left alone.
Enjoy today.
Marge in cold, blustery St.Louis.
Hi Marge--cold here too-Winter was late---but-- so cold eh?--Lynda
DeleteA little tree is pretty, and the newer ones with the lights already installed are a treat. I put up a little bitty one in my family room each year now. I have a small collection of tiny ornaments, and last year used only white and gold and silver.
ReplyDeleteFor the last several years I have scaled back little by little on decorating, donating the lovely things I no longer use to a charity shop and keeping the ones I treasure. I had my daughter and son-in-love go through the many, many decorations with me several years ago. We pared down, but made sure to keep the ones that she wanted to keep. I still have a couple from my own childhood, and a lovely quilted tree skirt my mom made for me about thirty years ago. Some years I put up a little tree in my bedroom if I'm in the mood. I enjoy the holidays so much more when I'm not working so hard at it.
I'm glad you're enjoying your little house and putting your own stamp on it and the holidays this year.
Yes it is my little house--I do like it tho---What nice ideas --to go thru the decorations with you rdaughter--so nice! Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, I was so happy to see that you had blogged today. Of course there are times when you're too busy to write a post, but I worry when you haven't. Your red bow and small tree are delightful, so you're ready for Christmas. Another week and a half and you and your sons will be attending the Festival of Lights to honor Fred and another gentleman. I hope one of the boys videos it so it can be sent to Allison, though she'll be there with you in spirit.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Yes Maureen-- I do try to blog everyday---even if its busy-- and yes-- so nice that the city is honouring Fred-- and my grief class is helping--amazing --Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon Lynda,
ReplyDeleteGosh it has been a long time since I got on your website. I have had a busy summer. My oldest sister Carol who was in a nursing home for over 3 years passed away Oct. 11, 2025 before her 77th birthday. I was lucky enough to be with her. It was a privilege, and I was glad she was not alone. She went very peacefully,
I also had my 74th birthday on the 8th of Nov. and Dan and I will be celebrating our 55th Anniversary on the 28th.
We are still doing well. Dan went deer hunting and got a doe. I am
going to PT for my right knee but other than that I can't complain.
It is cold and windy here today and by this weekend we are supposed to have 6 Inches of snow. Ugg.
I went back and reread some of your posts and you seem to be doing well. I think Sushi will love her new potty box. Have a great day and I will try not to eat to much tomorrow for Thanksgiving. We will be going to my youngest sisters home.
Take care my friend,
Love Bev
Bev I am sorry to hear about your sister--That must be hard!--YES I AM COPING--BUT I DO MISS FRED VERY MUCH--although he

Hi Lynda, missed your blog yesterday, but didn't get a chance to read it had it been there. You see, my friend who I have not seen in what, two years? was in town with her 8 yr old more or less foster child, on and off, and met them for Chinese after work and then to see the new Goodwill Store where I will be working soonish, and then back here, where I got them to crash all night on my newish purchase of a double hide-a-bed. We had had a falling out and then she's always just too busy. She picked him up after school nearby and his plans to hang with his friend were cancelled, so they hit me up! Fun times. Work today, then I left early and went to see "Wicked For Good" the 2nd part of the movie, which was a year apart. By myself, of course. Doesn't bother me anymore. I like to sit in the very back, the last seat before the end seat. I had a recliner between me, and then people on the other side of me. It was in 3D, and well attended. Very good, but not as good as the first. The message was great, at the end. I love the music. I need to buy the music from it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm now home and will go to my cousin in law's tomorrow around noon for Thanksgiving. Will be me, my cousin and her hubby, my cousin in law, and her son. Others may pop in, I dunno. I'm making green bean casserole to take.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here who celebrates it! :)
Marti
P.S. I love your decorations, and it's your first year there, so you can decorate it nicely and then always remember the first Christmas at the new place! Sadly, without Fred, but, also, just about you, new beginnings! That's important, you get to make it nice for YOU! I kind of go all out, but won't start until probably Saturday, as Friday I have to go back in to work. :(
DeleteI'm pooped!
Marti
Oh Marti-- nice to hear from you--Yes I miss Fred--always will-Lynda
DeleteThe green bean casserole must be delicious--=-and you have a job at the Goodwill store--Nice!-Good for yu! Lynda
DeleteGlad you were able to get out shopping while the cleaners did their thing. And little Lopez settled down.
ReplyDeleteGlad that the cleaners did such a good job. Hurray.
