A little Hi from me to you--Enjoy to-day, whatever yu do!

This plane is going to Punta Cana----I would love to be on it--Son #2, the Pilot will be there and back to-day. And here----  (sob! sob!)---  we are in a blizzard-- The snow is coming down to "beat the band" as Mom used to say. I have already been out to shovel a  Chihuahua trail which has filled up with snow AGAIN!

You know--when we were kids , in London , ON., (a snow belt by the way!)-we played a game , on a snowy day like this , called "BLIZZARD"- We ran all around the front lawn, shouting "BLIZZARD". It seems like a crazy game now, but then, we enjoyed a snowy day ever so much!--- I've told my own children about playing BLIZZARD, and they look at me funny!--And now, I shovel---Life sure has changed!

So, life goes on ----I hear to-morrow we will see the sun--and we are totally out of bananas---I need to grocery shop. Yesterday was "hair Day" and  I was able to chat with the Ladies  there, getting  their new hair-do. It made me feel normal again!

Yesterday I sat at the piano also--  played a bit--- Playing the piano really does take yer mind off the humdrum chores -----Perhaps it might be good to run around the lawn here playing BLIZZARD ---act a tad crazy ---be a kid again--- Lord love a Duck! -----  perhaps pretend we are--"Leaving on an airplane-Don't know when I'll be back again"--Isn't that a song?

  1. Be extra careful shoveling and driving with all that snow. Hopefully it will stop soon. Take care.

  2. Snowing like crazy here this morning too. A good day for me to stay inside. You better leave those bananas until tomorrow and stay safe.

  3. Never heard of the Bluzzard game. Different perspective on snow as an adult lol. Be SAFE if you must get bananas. Sounds like it might be better to wait on bananas. Glad you got your hair done and got to visit with the clients. I'm always happy to hear you played piano. Music is wonderful to lift a mood. I do hope you'll give a concert for Fred and Beau again today.
A trip to warm and back home the same day would be a tease.
    Be safe and well. Hugs

  4. Love the bear pic. Sounds like a day to stay home and off the roads. Bananas will have to wait a day - safer. You are really getting tons of snow this year. A least it's almost the middle of February - getting closer to spring! Be careful shoveling.

  5. Those memorable games we used to play! How I wish there were still being played at schools. Enjoy the day.

  6. Oh I remember the snow angels, snow people, snow forts, snow ball fights, sledding. Those were the days, eh!

Stay safe in the blizzard. Glad you got your hair done yesterday and could feel a little bit of normalcy!

  7. I try to keep the kid in me always! When there's a lot of snow, and I'm out with the dog, well, sometimes, I'm in my 60's, and I make sure to lay down and make a snow angel, throw some snowballs, and just play in it. I think you really should go out and do that. No one will see you, LOL. I can't here, so much, but back where I lived a few years ago, there was a park, and Jake and I were out walking. The dog LOVES the snow, and why not be like a dog? He he

  8. Before I became allergic bananas, I would peel some and wrap in foil and place in the freezer to have for smoothies and sometimes to puree as a banana sorbet dessert.

  9. The snow is sure covering up. Spring can’t come soon enough. Sorry you have to go to get bananas on a Sunday. Careful. The ice we had was disruptive to us. You have it worse, be careful!

  12. We're not in the middle of a blizzard, but it's been coming down pretty good all day. I'll have to go out a shovel a path for my little man.

Nothing like having you're hair done to make you feel good.

  13. Love the song thoughts. We haven' seen a big blizzard for a long time but the NW corner of MN. has gotten it all day. Take care and enjoy the sun when you see it.

  14. Blizzard sounds like fun!

    I have one banana.

I believe is "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by Peter, Paul and Mary. I love the oldies, too.

    Playing piano for a better mood is musical therapy. It's good for people, pets and plants. Too bad it doesn't stop the snow! {{{HUGS}}}
